The linearised water-wave radiation problem for the oscillating 2D submerged source in an inviscid shear flow with a free surface is investigated analytically. There is a nonzero surface velocity. The depth is infinite and the vorticity is uniform. The amplitudes radiated from the source are calculated analytically. Due to Doppler effects, there may be up to four different emitted waves, and there is resonance with zero group velocity and infinite amplitude.  相似文献

We present a new method for resolving combinatorial ambiguities that arise in multi-particle decay chains at hadron colliders where the assignment of visible particles to the different decay chains has ambiguities. Our method, based on selection cuts favoring high transverse momentum and low invariant mass pairings, is shown to be significantly superior to the more traditional hemisphere method for a large class of decay chains, producing an increase in signal retention of up to a factor of 2. This new method can thus greatly reduce the combinatorial ambiguities of decay chain assignments.  相似文献

This paper reports results from wideband MIMO measurements performed in short range fixed wireless environments at 5.2 GHz. The objective is to provide MIMO channel characterization results for the measured environments and contribute to the limited available similar studies. Two kinds of propagation scenarios are investigated, rooftop to rooftop and street to rooftop, at three different sites always under LOS propagation conditions. The analysis of measurement data is performed in the context of non physical modeling, providing insight into the statistics of the measured channels. In particular, the slow time varying nature of the channel is studied and the narrow Doppler spectrum shape is approximated. Furthermore, frequency correlation results are obtained and the typical delay dispersion measures are extracted. Then, the antenna correlation is studied and the error of the Kronecker product approximation is evaluated. Finally, capacity results are provided and the channel measurements are characterized in terms of spatial multiplexing quality and multipath richness through condition number analysis. Nikolaos D. Skentos received his Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece in October 2000. Since January 2001 he has been a research associate at the Mobile Radio Communications Laboratory at the NTUA, and he is currently working towards the Ph.D. degree. His research interests include channel measurements, MIMO channel characterization, MIMO algorithms and space time processing. He has been active in the IST STINGRAY project, the COST 273 Action and the ACE Network of Excellence. He is also a member of the National Technical Chamber of Greece since 2001. Athanasios G. Kanatas received the Diploma in Electrical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece, in 1991, the M.Sc. degree in Satellite Communication Engineering from the University of Surrey, Surrey, UK in 1992, and the Ph.D. degree in Mobile Satellite Communications from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece in February 1997. From 1993 to 1994 he was with National Documentation Center of National Research Institute. In 1995 he joined SPACETEC Ltd. where he was Technical Project Manager for VISA/EMEA VSAT Project in Greece. In 1996 he joined the Mobile Radio Communications Laboratory as a research associate. From 1999 to 2002 he was with the Institute of Communication & Computer Systems. In 2000 he became a member of the Board of Directors of OTESAT S.A. He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Technology Education and Digital Systems at University of Piraeus. His current research interests include channel characterization and estimation, simulation and modeling for mobile, mobile satellite, and future wireless communication systems. He has been a Senior Member of IEEE since 2002, and is also a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece. In 1999 he was elected Chairman of the Communications Society of the Greek IEEE Section. Panagiotis I. Dallas was born 1967 in Thessaloniki, Greece. He obtained his diploma and Ph.D. degree from the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, in 1990 and 1997, respectively. Since 1998 he joined with INTRACOM where he currently is Section Manager of Advanced Communications Technologies branch of Emerging Technologies & Markets department, leading the next generation of broadband wireless access systems for internal and EU projects. He runs the relevant standardization activities (IEEE 802.16 and ETSI/BRAN HIPERMAN) in INTRACOM and he represents the company in WiMAX forum. Finally, he has over 30 publications in international journals and conferences. Philip Constantinou received the Diploma in Physics from the National University of Athens in 1972, the Master of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada in 1976, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering in 1983 from Carleton University, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. From 1976 to 1979 he was with Telesat Canada as a Communications System Engineer. In 1980 he joined the Ministry of Communications in Ottawa, Canada where he was engaged in the area of Mobile Communication. From 1984 to 1989 he was with the National Research Center Demokritos in Athens, Greece where he was involved in several research projects in the area of Mobile Communications. In 1989 he joined the National Technical University of Athens where he is currently a Professor and Director of the Mobile Radio Communications Laboratory. 论文对传统的扩频地址码捕获算法进行了分析,指出了其在有多普勒频移情况下的缺陷,进而提出差分相干捕获算法,给出原理框图,并仿真分析了改进算法的性能。结果表明,改进算法对由于多普勒频移造成的匹配滤波器输出信号能量下降具有很好的抑制作用。  相似文献

A double edge Mie Doppler lidar at 1064 nm was developed in Hefei, China in 2005 for low tropospheric wind measurement. Intercomparison experiments with a wind profiler and a wiresonde were held. Intercomparisons of concurrent lidar and other instrument observations show good agreement with expected measurement accuracy. The examples of validated lidar wind profiles obtained during these experiments as well as an example of continuous wind observations are presented. The instrument has demonstrated the capability of atmospheric wind field measurement from 0.2 to 5 km altitude, achieving below 2 m/s accuracy with 1 min averaging and 21.2 m vertical resolution.  相似文献

利用多普勒频率信息的第三方辐射源对动目标的无源相干定位技术,可获得高精度无模糊等优越的系统性能。在噪声环境中对动目标定位技术通常要求从系统的可观测性,估计性能,定位算法等方面时系统进行描述。文章基于两发一收的T^2/R无源相干定位系统。只利用多普勒频率信息时动目标进行状态估计,分析了系统的Cramer-Rao Bound(CRB)性能,并采用最大似然的估计算法对动目标进行定位。通过在数值单次与统计意义(Monte Carlo)上的仿真实验表明,利用多普勒频率信息的无源相干定位技术是可靠有效的。  相似文献

The oscillating flow instability of a molten linear high-density polyethylene is carefully studied using a single screw extruder equipped with a transparent slit die. Experiments are performed using laser Doppler velocimetry in order to obtain the local velocities field across the entire die width. At low flow rate, the extrusion is stable and steady state velocity profiles are obtained. During the instability, the velocity oscillates between two steady state limits, suggesting a periodic stick-slip transition mechanism. At high flow rate, the flow is mainly characterized by a pronounced wall slip. We show that wall slip occurs all along the die land. An investigation of the slip flow conditions shows that wall slip is not homogeneous in a cross section of the slit die, and that pure plug flow occurs only for very high flow rates. A numerical computation of the profile assuming wall slip boundary conditions is done to obtain the true local wall slip velocity. It confirms that slip velocities are of the same order of magnitude as those measured with a capillary rheometer.  相似文献

The transient flow field in the standard 20-liter explosion sphere was investigated by means of laser Doppler anemometry. Velocities were measured at various locations within the flow field, and this information was used to quantify the transient behavior of the root-mean-square of the velocity fluctuations and to investigate the spatial homogeneity and the directional isotropy of the turbulence. The investigation involved the transient flow fields generated by the three most widely used dust dispersion systems, namely, the Perforated Dispersion Ring, the Rebound Nozzle, and the Dahoe Nozzle. With all three dispersion dust devices, the decay of turbulence could be correlated by a decay law of the form
It was found that no formal cube-root-law agreement exists between the 20-liter explosion sphere and the 1-m3 vessel. The results of this work also call into question the widely held belief that the cube-root-law is a valid scaling relationship between dust explosion severities measured in laboratory test vessels and the severity of industrial dust explosions.
