Ho et al. [Ho, C.H., Ouyang, L.Y., Su, C.H., 2008. Optimal pricing, shipment and payment policy for an integrated supplier-buyer inventory model with two-part trade credit, European Journal of Operational Research 187, 496-510] discussed the integrated inventory model with two-part trade credit and presented an algorithm to solve it. Basically, Ho et al.’s inventory model is correct and interesting. However, this paper indicates that the solution algorithm described in Ho et al. (2008) can be simplified further. So, this paper can not only derive the optimally closed-form formulations for the optimal numbers of shipments but also develop different algorithms to improve those in Ho et al. (2008). Numerical examples illustrate that the algorithm to locate the optimal solution is rather accurate and rapid. 相似文献

This paper investigates the impact of relative performance concerns on the longevity risk transfer market. When an insurer concerns about the relative performance in a two-insurer economy, she maximizes the expected utility of her terminal wealth benchmarked against her competitor’s. The problem formulation for a general utility, a general interest rate process and cointegrated mortality rates uses a nonzero sum stochastic differential game approach. Explicit solution of the Nash equilibrium is derived for constant relative risk adverse insurers under the Vasicek-type stochastic interest and mortality rates. Existence and uniqueness of the Nash equilibrium are established for the CIR-type models, which rule out negative interest and mortality rates. While previous studies based on the single-agent approaches have shown a high investment demand in longevity bonds, the launch of it was unsuccessful in reality. In this paper we study the optimal pricing strategies when a product is sold on two channels such as the Internet and a traditional channel. We assume a stylized deterministic demand model where the demand on a channel depends on prices, degree of substitution across channels and the overall market potential. We first study four prevalent pricing strategies which differ in the degree of autonomy for the Internet channel. For a monopoly, we provide theoretical bounds for these pricing strategies. We also analyze the duopoly case where an incumbent mixed retailer faces competition with a pure retailer and characterize price equilibria. In this paper we generalize the classical dynamic lot-sizing problem by considering production capacity constraints as well as delivery and/or production time windows. Utilizing an untraditional decomposition principle, we develop a polynomial-time algorithm for computing an optimal solution for the problem under the assumption of non-speculative costs. We consider a manufacturer producing original products using virgin materials and remanufactured products using returns from the market where the amount of returns depend on the incentive offered by the manufacturer. We determine the optimal value of this incentive and the optimal production quantities in a stochastic demand setting with partial substitution. We analyze 3 different models in centralized and decentralized settings where the collection process of the returns is managed by a collection agency in the decentralized setting. We also analyze contracts to coordinate the decentralized systems and determine the optimal contract parameters. This paper studies the manufacturer’s return policy and the retailers’ decisions in a supply chain consisting of one manufacturer and two risk-averse retailers under a single-period setting with price-sensitive random demand. We characterize each retailer’s risk-embedded objective via conditional value-at-risk, and construct manufacturer-Stackelberg games with and without horizontal price competition between the retailers.
