Polymeric integrated-optical waveguides are prepared in a planar polymer chip by UV-laser lithographic methods. The waveguide samples are irradiated by an excimer laser at a wavelength Λ=248 nm with various irradiation parameters (different fluencies and irradiation doses). Mach-Zehnder interferometer is employed and the refractive index depth profiles of the waveguide samples are obtained. This profile covers two regions having exponential and Gaussian shapes. The model field distributions strongly depend on the refractive index of each region. The mode field distribution and the effective mode indices for each region have been calculated on the basis of a theoretical model and the experimentally measured data.  相似文献

Abstract

Trace level Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) in ambient air are normally determined according to EPA Method TO-14. This method describes the analysis in ambient air of 41 VOCs, ranging in boiling point from -29 to 215°C. It covers a concentration range from 0.2 to 20 parts per billion, volume/volume (ppb), and specifies sample enrichment of a 400 mL air sample on glass beads at -160°C. While this sample volume provides sub-ppb levels of VOC detection for target analytes when using a quadrupole mass spectrometer detector in SIM mode or when using GC detectors, the identification of non-target analytes may only be done in full scan mode for higher concentrations. Also with this sample volume a Nafion dryer is needed for water removal thereby lowering the recovery of polar VOCs.

Because of the very high sensitivity of the ion trap MS, relatively small air volumes (60 mL) are adequate to obtain the required or lower detection levels. An integrated air analysis system based on a GC-ion-trap MS has been investigated and is described. This system has a built-in cryogenic trap and necessary valving, internal standard gas sampling loop, and is controlled from the GC-MS workstation. The linearity, precision, and method detection levels obtainable with this system when using small volumes are reported. In addition, examples of the quantitative and qualitative analysis of ambient air samples are shown.  相似文献

To shed light on intramolecular charge‐transfer phenomena in 1,2,3‐triazole‐linked materials, a series of 1,2,3‐triazole‐linked push–pull chromophores were prepared and studied experimentally and computationally. Investigated modifications include variation of donor and/or acceptor strength and linker moiety as well as regioisomers. Photophysical characterization of intramolecular charge‐transfer features revealed ambipolar behavior of the triazole linker, depending on the substitution position. Furthermore, non‐centrosymmetric materials were subjected to second‐harmonic generation measurements, which revealed the high nonlinear optical activity of this class of materials.  相似文献

A linear optical unambiguous discrimination of hyperentangled Bell states is proposed for two‐photon systems entangled in both the polarization and momentum degrees of freedom (DOFs) assisted by time bin. This unambiguous discrimination scheme can completely identify 16 orthogonal hyperentangled Bell states using only linear optical elements, where the function of the auxiliary entangled Bell state is replaced by time bin. Moreover, the possibility of extending this scheme for distinguishing hyperentangled Bell states in n DOFs is discussed, and it shows that 2 n + k + 1 hyperentangled Bell states in n ( n 2 ) DOFs can be distinguished with k ( k < n ) auxiliary entangled states of additional DOFs by introducing a time delay, which decreases the auxiliary entanglement resource required for unambiguous discrimination of hyperentangled Bell state. Therefore, this scheme provides a new way for distinguishing hyperentangled states with current technology, which will extend the application of discrimination of hyperentangled states via linear optics to other quantum information protocols besides hyperdense coding schemes in the future.  相似文献

Two novel anionic conjugated copolyelectrolytes PSDPPPV and PSDPPPE were synthesized via Heck/Sonogashira coupling reactions and characterized by FT‐IR, 1H NMR, UV‐vis, and PL spectroscopy. The two polymers are respectively constituted of 2,5‐diethoxy‐1,4‐phenyleneethynylene (DPV) and 2,5‐diethoxy‐1,4‐phenyleneethynylene (DPE) with 1,4‐diketo‐2,5‐bis(4‐sulfonylbutyl)‐3,6‐diphenylpyrrolo[3,4‐c]pyrrole (SDPP) which is a novel water soluble diketopyrrolopyrrole derivative. PSDPPPV and PSDPPPE show broad absorption band in visible region and they exhibit strong fluorescence quenching in aqueous solution. The fluorescence of their aqueous solutions can be enhanced in the presence of cationic surfactant or polymer nonionic surfactant. Fluorescence enhancement by introduction of polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) shows linear response. This result provides a controllable method to increase fluorescence intensity of dipyrrolopyrrole‐based conjugate polyelectrolytes in aqueous phase. The optical properties suggested that PSDPPPV and PSDPPPE which are negatively charged conjugated polymers can assemble with positively charged photovoltaic materials to form ionic photoactive layer. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 锶原子单态和三重态间的互组跃迁(5s2)1S0-(5s5p)3P1辐射率远小于一般的电偶极跃迁,共振跃迁荧光信号微弱。介绍了一种应用于探测该互组跃迁荧光谱的直流偏置探测器。该探测器选用极低输入偏置电流运算放大器作为前置放大,具有信噪比高、增益高、偏置可调等优点。此探测器探测增益为106 V/W量级,-3dB带宽为1MHz。实验中利用该探测器对锶原子互组跃迁(5s2)1S0-(5s5p)3P1微弱共振荧光进行探测,获得信噪比很好的共振荧光谱,且无直流偏置,并由此获得高信噪比的鉴频曲线。应用该探测器观测到了饱和荧光谱线以及对应的鉴频曲线,可用于689nm激光锁频,应用于锶光钟系统。  相似文献

Cocrystals of 4-styrylpyridine and 1,2,4,5-tetracyanobenzene were successfully prepared by supramolecular self-assembly. Donor–acceptor interactions between the molecular components are the main driving force for self-assembly and contribute to intermolecular charge transfer. The cocrystals possess two-photon absorption properties that are not observed in the individual components; suggesting that two-photon absorption originates from intermolecular charge-transfer interactions in the donor–acceptor system. The origin of two-photon absorption in multichromophore systems remains under-researched; thus, the system offers a rare demonstration of two-photon absorption by cocrystallization. Cocrystal engineering may facilitate further design and development of novel materials for nonlinear optical and optoelectronic applications.  相似文献
