Affect control theory: An assessment*

This paper reviews affect control theory's major strengths, the contributions of recent work to its growth, and the most promising avenues for future work. Affect control theory's strengths include (1) the precision of its mathematical statement and empirical base (especially when compared with earlier interpretive sociologies), (2) its ability to link the internal processing that generates social action to the socio‐cultural system upon which that action is based, and (3) the generality that allows a parsimonious explanation of a wide range of processes and previous research findings. Recent advances provide (1) new, more accurate impression‐change formulas, (2) the expansion of the theory to encompass settings, emotions, and traits, (3) new dictionaries of evaluation, potency and acitivity meanings and (4) tests of the theory using likelihood judgments, verbal scenarios and actual behavior of naive experimental subjects. Further work must include links to cognitive structures that will further delineate definition of situation and behavior selection processes. In addition, integration of affect control theory with new sociological work on the development of shared social knowledge and on institutionalized production systems expand the theory in useful ways. Finally, new work must find innovative and convincing ways to test simulation outcomes using both verbal accounts and behavior.     

An architecture model to support cooperative design for mechatronic products: A control design case

Efficient integration of systems in the mechatronic industry is critical for complex product development and is still challenging. A particular example of this situation can be pinpointed in the development of control software for mechatronic products: design is not carried out in a concurrent way in order to exploit the synergy among domain experts and many “last minute” problems are detected and forcefully solved in the control software domain at an advanced development stage. Unfortunately, industrially applicable research to improve integration in the development process is currently at a stale. This work addresses system architecting introducing a model, a method, and a tool implementation, which aim to help changing this situation by supporting cooperative design, providing usable documentation and improving understanding of the design process by the stakeholders.     

Time-constrained temporal logic control of multi-affine systems

In this paper, we consider the problem of controlling a dynamical system such that its trajectories satisfy a temporal logic property in a given amount of time. We focus on multi-affine systems and specifications given as syntactically co-safe linear temporal logic formulas over rectangular regions in the state space. The proposed algorithm is based on estimating the time bounds for facet reachability problems and solving a time optimal reachability problem on the product between a weighted transition system and an automaton that enforces the satisfaction of the specification. A random optimization algorithm is used to iteratively improve the solution.

本文分析了航天测控系统几类测轨数据的时间校正问题及相应的校正计算方法,指出在同一系统时标形成的测轨数据不一定是同一时的目标参数,提出了使各测轨数据同步的一种方案.     

空间光束实时捕获、跟踪实验与分析

提出一种空间光束捕获、跟踪设计方案,在实验室条件下实现其主要功能,并对其定位精度和实时性进行了分析,结果表明：信标光定位处理的时间为25 ms,角度测量的相对误差为1.3％,显示出良好性能.同时,为由理论分析到实际星载PAT系统提供试验依据.     

Optimality conditions for state constrained nonlinear control problems

The problem of optimal control of nonlinear control and state constrained control problems, where the state constraint may involve differential operators and the cost functionals may be nonsmooth, is studied. For this class of problems, necessary optimality conditions using techniques from infinite dimensional optimization theory adapted to the framework of control problems are derived. It is shown that the underlying structure admits a considerable relaxation of the classical constraint qualifications. The theory then is applied to examples of various nonlinear elliptic equations and state constraints.     

Response probability density functions of strongly non-linear systems by the path integration method

The paper discusses challenges in numerical analysis and numerical/analytical results for strongly non-linear systems—systems with “signum”-type non-linearities. Such non-linearities are implemented for instantaneous variations of the systems’ parameters, to reduce their mean energy response when subjected to random excitations. Numerical results for displacement and velocity response probability density functions (PDFs), energy response PDFs and various order moments are obtained by the path integration technique. Attention is also given to evaluation of mean upcrossing rate, related to the system's half period, via Rice's formula informally applied to discontinuous response PDFs.
