A new approach for design of improved interfacial bonding between carbon fibers and polymeric matrices is described. In this method the affinity of surface-treated carbon fibers to various polymer matrices is simulated by analyzing the adsorption characteristics of model compounds, typical of the polymer units, onto very high surface area carbon fibers. The affinity can be evaluated by the use of Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA) to measure adsorption–desorption characteristics. Since high surface area, activated carbon fibers (ACF) can be chemically treated to obtain acidic, basic, nonpolar or highly polar surfaces, it should be possible to assess the interactions of chemically modified surfaces with model compounds such as methanol (MeOH), acetone, dimethylformamide (DMF), dimethylether, tetrahydrofuran (THF) and water. Some preliminary results are presented, indicating that surface treatments for carbon fibers other than oxidation may lead to enhanced bonding with polymeric matrices.  相似文献

This work presents an electroanalytical methodology developed for square-wave voltammetry based in the electrochemical reduction in hanging mercury drop electrode (HMDE), which is simple, fast, reliable and sensitive for determination of moxifloxacin (MOXI) in tablets and spiked urine human samples. The support electrolyte that provided a more defined and intense peak current for MOXI determination was the phosphate buffer 0.04 mol l− 1 pH 8.0. In the best-optimized conditions the drug presented an only peak of reduction at − 1.38 V vs. Ag/AgCl, using an Eacc. of − 0.30 V. An LOD of 0.44 and 3.20 ng ml− 1 and an LOQ of 1.46 and 10.60 ng ml− 1 were found for the pure standard of moxifloxacin and in the presence of matrix, respectively. A good recovery was obtained for assay spiked urine samples and a good quantification of MOXI was achieved in a commercial formulation. The methodology proposed was more sensitive than the spectrofluorimetric and spectrophotometric method with precision and accuracy equivalent.  相似文献

We give some sufficient conditions for the nonnegativity of immanants of square submatrices of Catalan-Stieltjes matrices and their corresponding Hankel matrices. To obtain these sufficient conditions, we construct new planar networks with a recursive nature for Catalan-Stieltjes matrices. As applications, we provide a unified way to produce inequalities for many combinatorial polynomials, such as the Eulerian polynomials, Schröder polynomials, and Narayana polynomials.  相似文献

Linear systems whose associated block Jacobi iteration matrixB is weakly cyclic generated by the cyclic permutation = (1,2,..., p ) in the spirit of Li and Varga are considered. Regions of convergence for the corresponding blockp-cyclic SOR method are derived and the exact convergence domains for real spectra, (B p ), of the same sign are obtained. Moreover, analytical expressions for two special cases forp = 5 are given and numerical results are presented confirming the theory developed. Diverse diseases and increasing prevalence pose a serious threat to public health. Point-of-care testing (POCT) techniques have imposed superior requirements over sensitivity, selectivity, robustness, affordability, and high-throughput. However, transient signal, complex sample pretreatment, and low signal-to-noise ratio make POCT severely limited in detection accuracy, efficiency, and sensitivity. Here, an enzyme-assisted magnetic large-mesoporous nanoreactor (FS) is constructed for achieving persistent-chemiluminescence signal output and eliminating matrix interference in disease diagnosis. The core-shell structured FS synthesized via an interface coassembly method exhibits uniform size, large and open mesopores (≈22 nm), and intrinsic magnetic separability. Such unique FS acts as efficient nanoreactor for confined cascade reactions enable efficient persistent-chemiluminescence (pCL) signal transduction and high-SNR chromogenic analysis of diverse biomarkers. The developed pCL assays facilitate high-sensitive determination of chronic disease biomarkers glucose and uric acid with detection limits (DL) of 5.4 mg L−1 and 151.2 ng L−1, respectively. The proposed chromogenic immunoassay enables an ultrasensitive and visual determination of alpha-fetoprotein with a DL of 1.2 ng L−1, which is superior to previously published immunoassays. The feasibility of the developed methods for real-world applications are demonstrated in 159 clinical serum samples, and the determination results agree well with the clinical data. The proposed technique is expected to promote highly sensitive disease diagnosis in primary medical institutions and resource-limited areas since not relying on expensive automatic sampling and testing instruments. The good flexibility of the customizable nanoreactor makes it a powerful tool for developing various POCT techniques for rapid, sensitive, and accurate diseases diagnosis.  相似文献

Macromolecule/laponite nanomaterials were studied by DSC and X-ray diffraction techniques. The matrices are poly(ethylene) glycols at various molecular masses and poly(ethylene oxides)-poly(propylene oxides)-poly(ethylene oxides) tri-block copolymers. The latter were tuned by modulating the molecular masses, at constant hydrophilic/hydrophobic ratio, and the hydrophilicity. For all the investigated systems, the enthalpy of melting (ΔH m) is nearly constant up to a given composition thereafter it increases monotonically reaching the value of the pure macromolecule. We proposed a model to interpret the DSC data. Briefly, it was invoked a mechanism of interaction following which some segments of the adsorbed macromolecule are anchored to the laponite (RD) particles and the remaining segments are radiating away from the surface. The portion of the macromolecule in contact with RD does not contribute to ΔH m whereas that radiating away from the clay does. Once that the RD surface is saturated, the excess of the macromolecule behaves like the pure one. The proposed model allowed to compute successfully the ΔH m values. The X-ray diffraction experiments ruled out the polymer intercalation between the silicate sheets.  相似文献

A system for separation of zinc traces from large amounts of cadmium is proposed in this paper. It is based on the solid-phase extraction of the zinc in the form of thiocyanate complexes by the polyurethane foam. The following parameters were studied: effect of pH and of the thiocyanate concentration on the zinc extraction, shaking time required for quantitative extraction, amount of PU foam necessary for complete extraction, conditions for the separation of zinc from cadmium, influence of other cations and anions on the zinc sorption by PU foam, and required conditions for back extraction of zinc from the PU foam. The results show that zinc traces can be separated from large amounts of cadmium at pH 3.0±0.50, with the range of thiocyanate concentration from 0.15 to 0.20 mol l−1, and the shaking time of 5 min. The back extraction of zinc can be done by shaking it with water for 10 min. Calcium, barium, strontium, magnesium, aluminum, nickel and iron(II) are efficiently separated. Iron(III), copper(II) and cobalt(II) are extracted simultaneously with zinc, but the iron reduction with ascorbic acid and the use of citrate to mask copper(II) and cobalt(II) increase the selectivity of the zinc extraction. The anions nitrate, chloride, sulfate, acetate, thiosulphate, tartarate, oxalate, fluoride, citrate, and carbonate do not affect the zinc extraction. Phosphate and EDTA must be absent. The method proposed was applied to determine zinc in cadmium salts using 4-(2-pyridylazo)-resorcinol (PAR) as a spectrophotometric reagent. The result achieved did not show significant difference in the accuracy and precision (95% confidence level) with those obtained by ICP–AES analysis.  相似文献
