In this paper, we study synchronization of delayed map lattices with scale-free interactions. Systems of globally coupled logistic maps (GCLM) can display complex collective behaviour characterized by the formation of
synchronous clusters. In the dynamical clustering regime, such systems possess a large number of coexisting attractors and
might be viewed as dynamical glasses. Glass properties of GCLM in the thermodynamical limit of large system sizes N are investigated. Replicas, representing orbits that start from various initial conditions, are introduced and distributions
of their overlaps are numerically determined. We show that for fixed-field ensembles of initial conditions all attractors
of the system become identical in the thermodynamical limit up to variations of order 1/, and thus replica symmetry is recovered for N→∞. In contrast to this, when fluctuating-field ensembles of initial conditions are chosen, replica symmetry remains broken
in the thermodynamical limit.

We consider a ring of identical neurons with delayed nearest neighborhood inhibitory interaction. Under general conditions, such a network has a slowly oscillatory synchronous periodic solution which is completely characterized by a scalar delay differential equation with negative feedback. Despite the fact that the slowly oscillatory periodic solution of the scalar equation is stable, we show that the associated synchronous solution is unstable if the size of the network is large.

Real neurons can exhibit various types of firings including tonic spiking, bursting as well as silent state, which are frequently observed in neuronal electrophysiological experiments. More interestingly, it is found that neurons can demonstrate the co-existing mode of stable tonic spiking and bursting, which depends on initial conditions. In this paper, synchronization in gap-junction-coupled neurons with co-existing attractors of spiking and bursting firings is investigated as the coupling strength gets increased. Synchronization transitions can be identified by means of the bifurcation diagram and the correlation coefficient. It is illustrated that the coupled neurons can exhibit different types of synchronization transitions between spiking and bursting when the coupling strength increases. In the course of synchronization transitions, an intermittent synchronization can be observed. These results may be instructive to understand synchronization transitions in neuronal systems. 相似文献

This paper considers the problem of controlling
weighted complex dynamical networks by applying adaptive control
to a fraction of network nodes. We investigate the local and
global synchronization of the controlled dynamical network through
the construction of a master stability function and a Lyapunov
function. Analytical results show that a certain number of nodes
can be controlled by using adaptive pinning to ensure the
synchronization of the entire network. We present numerical
simulations to verify the effectiveness of the proposed scheme. In
comparison with feedback pinning, the proposed pinning control
scheme is robust when tested by noise, different weighting and

A simple genetic algorithm is implemented to perform multi parameter optimization of Raman Fiber Amplifier for 100 channel S band dense wavelength division multiplexed system at 25 GHz interval. A cost effective system using single Raman pump is investigated aiming at maximum average gain. The single counter propagating pump is optimized to frequency of 211.528 THz and 652.93 mW power level with optimum Raman fiber length of 44.064 Km. There is evidence to show that the optimum solution presents a small gain variation (less than 3 dB) over an effective bandwidth covering 197–199.475 THz. The optimized configuration enabled an adequate system performance in terms of acceptable Q-factor (19.52 dB) and BER (1.46 × 10−21). 相似文献
