Thickness Determination for a Two-Layered Composite of a Film and a Plate by Low-Frequency Ultrasound

We present an ultrasonic method for determining the thickness of a composite consisting of a soft thin film attached to a hard plate substrate, by resonance spectra in the low frequency region, The interrogating waves can be incident only to the two-layered composite from the substrate side. The reflection spectra are obtained by FFT analysis of the compressive pulsed echoes from the composite, and the thicknesses of the film and the substrate are simultaneously inversed by the simulated annealing method from the resonant frequencies knowing other acoustical parameters in prior. The sensitivity of the method to individual thickness, its convergence and stability against experimental noises are studied, Experiment with interrogating wavelength 4 times larger than the film thickness in a sample of a polymer film （0.054mm） on an aluminium plate （6.24mm） verifies the validity of the method. The average relative errors in the measurement of the thicknesses of the film and the substrate are found to be -4.1% and -0.62%, respectively.     

Experimental Study on Electrostatic with Two Guiding of Supersonic D20 Molecular Beam Charged Wires

We demonstrate the guiding of a supersonic heavy-water （D2O） molecular beam using a hollow electrostatic field generated by the combination of two parallel charged-wires and two grounded metal-plates, and report some new and preliminary experimental results. In the experiment, we detect the guiding signals by using the method of time-of-flight mass spectrum and study the dependence of the relative transmission of the beam guide on the guiding voltage. Our study shows that the relative transmission of the beam guide is increased linearly with increasing guiding voltage Vguid, and the number of the guided D20 molecules is at least increased by 89.4% when the guiding voltage is ＋20.0k V. Finally, some potential applications of our guiding scheme in the molecule optics are briefly discussed.     

简谈空气中的声速与温度关系

讨论了驻波法测空气中声速的实验,分别用相位比较法和李萨如图法来确定超声波波长.在不同温度条件下测量了声速并与理论值进行比较,实验结果显示测量温度接近室温时实验值与理论值基本一致,测量温度与室温相差较大时实验值与理论值偏差较大.     

Roller Profile Online Measurement Based on Ultrasonic Circulation Pulse-echo Technology

In order to meet the high precision requirement of wide steel strip in industry field, a novel online measurement of roller profile based on sonic circulation and pulse-echo technology was introduced. All kinds of the factors influencing the accuracy of roller profile online measurement were analyzed in detail and error compensation analysis of system was accordingly presented. In order to reduce count error, field program gate array（FPGA） was introduced and a highprecision data acquisition system was designed based on digital phase shift technology. Experiments indicate that the standard deviation of measure data was 7.27 μm, which showed the feasibility and validity of the proposed method, and realized the roll profile measurement with high precision.

前列腺癌越早发现治愈率越高，然而利用CAT扫描、X射线、核磁共振等仪器进行早期诊断和例行检查时费用高，且灵敏度低；超声波检测的方法虽然花费低，但可靠性低。为解决这一问题，德国等欧洲六国科研人员合作研制出了一种花费低、灵敏度高、准确率高的新型超声光学成像仪器。这一项目得到了欧盟委员会220万欧元的支持。
