Jensen and Toft 8 conjectured that every 2‐edge‐connected graph without a K5‐minor has a nowhere zero 4‐flow. Walton and Welsh 19 proved that if a coloopless regular matroid M does not have a minor in {M(K3,3), M*(K5)}, then M admits a nowhere zero 4‐flow. In this note, we prove that if a coloopless regular matroid M does not have a minor in {M(K5), M*(K5)}, then M admits a nowhere zero 4‐flow. In this work we present a first-order partial differential equationwhich defines the topology of single atomic entitiesin multiatomic systems. Such an equation, obtained by R. F.W. Bader, is here analysed and discussed from a general mathematicalpoint of view; a method is then proposed for defining the initialor boundary condition. An X-band EPR study on a Na_3(CrMo_6O_(24)H_6)·8H_2O single crystal diluted by its isomor-phic compound Na_3(AlMo_6O_(24)H_6)·8H_2O at room temperature is reported. Using the least squares-fitting method to simulate the EPR data for principal planes, the Hamiltonian parameterswere obtained. The principal values of the g tensors are g_(ZZ) = 1.904, g_(XX)= 1.973, g_(YY)=1.933. The zero field splitting tensor parameters are D = 0.275 cm~(-1), E = 0.05 cm~(-1). The fielddependence of Cr~(3+) energy levels with field at different angles from the principal axes whenthe field is along the principal planes is calculated based on these experimental parameters.The isofrequency plots of calculated field vs. angle are also shown. The classical and quantum mechanics of a system of directly interacting relativistic particles is discussed. We first discuss
the spin-zero case, where we basically follow Rohrlich in introducing a set of covariant centre of mass (CM) and relative
variables. The relation of these to the classic formulation of Bakamjian and Thomas is also discussed. We also discuss the
important case of relativistic potentials which may depend on total four-momentum squared. We then consider the quantum mechanical
case of spin-half particles. The negative energy difficulty is solved by introducing a number of first class constraints which
fix the spinor structure of physical solutions and ensure the existence of proper CM and relative variables. We derive the
form of interactions consistent with Lorentz invariance, space inversion, time reversal and charge conjugation and with the
above mentioned first class constraints and find that it is analogous to that for the non-relativistic case. Finally the relationship

We study fermionic zero modes in the self-dual vortex background on an extra two-dimensional Riemann surface in (5+1) dimensions. Using the generalized Abelian-Higgs model, we obtain the inner topological structure of the self-dual vortex and establish the exact self-duality equation with topological term. Then we analyze the Dirac operator on an extra torus and the effective Lagrangian of four-dimensional fermions with the self-dual vortex background. Solving the Dirac equation, the fermionic zero modes on a torus with the self-dual vortex background in two simple cases are obtained. 相似文献

We extend integrable systems on quad-graphs, such as the Hirota equation and the cross-ratio equation, to the noncommutative context, when the fields take values in an arbitrary associative algebra. We demonstrate that the three-dimensional consistency property remains valid in this case. We derive the noncommutative zero curvature representations for these systems, based on the latter property. Quantum systems with their quantum zero curvature representations are particular cases of the general noncommutative ones. 相似文献

The Principle of Unattainability rules out the attainment of absolute zero temperature by any finite physical means, no matter how idealised they could be. Nevertheless, we clarify that the Third Law of Thermodynamics, as defined by Nernst's heat theorem statement, is distinct from the Principle of Unattainability in the sense that the Third Law is mathematically equivalent only to the unattainability of absolute zero temperature by quasi-static adiabatic processes. This, on the one hand, leaves open the possibility of attainability of absolute zero by non-adiabatic means, without violating the Third Law. On the other hand, we point out some apparent incompatibility between the Postulate of Projective Measurement in quantum mechanics and the Principle of Unattainability in that projective measurements of energy could result in zero temperature. 相似文献
