The transition from the quantum to the classical world is not yet understood. Here, we take a new approach. Central to this is the understanding that measurement and actualization cannot occur except on some specific basis. However, we have no established theory for the emergence of a specific basis. Our framework entails the following: (i) Sets of N entangled quantum variables can mutually actualize one another. (ii) Such actualization must occur in only one of the 2N possible bases. (iii) Mutual actualization progressively breaks symmetry among the 2N bases. (iv) An emerging “amplitude” for any basis can be amplified by further measurements in that basis, and it can decay between measurements. (v) The emergence of any basis is driven by mutual measurements among the N variables and decoherence with the environment. Quantum Zeno interactions among the N variables mediates the mutual measurements. (vi) As the number of variables, N, increases, the number of Quantum Zeno mediated measurements among the N variables increases. We note that decoherence alone does not yield a specific basis. (vii) Quantum ordered, quantum critical, and quantum chaotic peptides that decohere at nanosecond versus femtosecond time scales can be used as test objects. (viii) By varying the number of amino acids, N, and the use of quantum ordered, critical, or chaotic peptides, the ratio of decoherence to Quantum Zeno effects can be tuned. This enables new means to probe the emergence of one among a set of initially entangled bases via weak measurements after preparing the system in a mixed basis condition. (ix) Use of the three stable isotopes of carbon, oxygen, and nitrogen and the five stable isotopes of sulfur allows any ten atoms in the test protein to be discriminably labeled and the basis of emergence for those labeled atoms can be detected by weak measurements. We present an initial mathematical framework for this theory, and we propose experiments.  相似文献

This paper investigates the scattering effect of domestic 0.5 at{\%} ceramic Nd:YAG. An effective method has been utilized to measure the scattering and absorption coefficients. An end-pumped continuous wave (CW) Nd:YAG ceramic laser was also demonstrated. A maximum output power of 6.7~W at 1064~nm was obtained at an 808-nm pump power of 32.9~W. Conversion efficiency and slope efficiency have been achieved. This indicates that scattering has an important effect on the optical performance of ceramic Nd:YAG.  相似文献

基于在Triton X-100存在下,蛋白质与达旦黄作用使得体系的共振光散射增强,在λ=492 nm处光散射强度最大,增强作用的强弱与蛋白质的含量成正比,据此建立了共振光散射测定蛋白质的新方法。此方法对牛血清白蛋白的检出限达到17.7 ng·mL-1,线性范围为0.03~0.9 μg·mL-1,用于合成样与人血清样品的分析,取得了令人满意的结果。同时也研究了人血清白蛋白、鸡蛋白蛋白、溶菌酶、胰蛋白酶与达旦黄的作用。  相似文献

This study presents electrostatically self‐assembled nanoparticles from linear flexible polyelectrolytes (poly(diallyldimethylammonium chloride or quarternized poly(4‐vinylpyridine)) and an ionic photo‐isomerizable azo dye (Acid Yellow 38) that can change their size upon UV‐light irradiation. Assemblies with narrow size distribution are stable in aqueous solution. For samples with under‐stoichiometric dye load, UV‐light exposure triggers a size decrease, e.g. from a hydrodynamic radius of Rh = 94 nm to Rh = 62 nm for an Ay38‐PDADMAC sample with a charge ratio of lcharge = 0.7. Size changes are caused by trans‐cis isomerization of the dye, accompanied by a change in hydrophilicity, binding enthalpy and entropy. Assemblies are characterized by static and dynamic light scattering, atomic force microscopy, UV–vis spectroscopy and isothermal titration calorimetry. Zeta potential measurements give insight into the electrostatic stabilization and size‐control of the ionic nano‐assemblies, revealing a master curve of effective surface charge density versus hydrodynamic radius. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Electron-phonon coupling (EPC) in cuprate and iron-based superconducting systems, as revealed by Raman scat- tering, is briefly reviewed. We introduce how to extract the coupling information through phonon lineshape. Then we discuss the strength of EPC in different high-temperature superconductor (HTSC) systems and possible factors affecting the strength. A comparative study between Raman phonon theories and experiments allows us to gain insight into some crucial electronic properties, especially superconductivity. Finally, we summarize and compare EPC in the two existing HTSC systems, and discuss what role it may play in the HTSC.  相似文献

Abstract

An oscillometric titration technique has been applied to the determination of ß-diketones. Typical accuracies of about ± 1.5% were obtained for the compounds studied.
