By the use of complete orthonormal sets of -exponential-type orbitals, where ( = 1, 0, –1, –2,...) the multicenter electronic attraction (EA), electric field (EF) and electric field gradient (EFG) integrals of nonscreened and Yukawa-like screened Coulomb potentials are expressed through the two-center overlap integrals with the same screening constants and the auxiliary functions
introduced in our previous paper (I.I. Guseinov, J. Phys. B, 3 (1970) 1399). The recurrence relations for auxiliary functions are useful for the calculation of multicenter EA, EF and EFG integrals for arbitrary integer and noninteger values of principal quantum numbers, screening constants, and location of slater-type orbitals. Anionic hydrogels of poly(2-acrylamido-2-methyl-1-propansulfonic acid) (p(AMPS)) were prepared with a different amount of cross-linker extent and used for in situ preparation of magnetic and metal particles. The metal particles with various sizes were obtained inside the three-dimensional polymer matrixes by absorption of the corresponding metal ions from their aqueous solutions followed by the reduction in the presence of strong reducing agent. In addition to iron particles, cobalt, nickel, copper nanoparticles, and CdS, quantum dot has been prepared by utilizing hydrogel matrix as a template for inorganic/organic composite synthesis. It was observed that the amount of cross-linkers (0.5%, 0.75%, and 1% with respect to monomer mole ratio) used in this study for bare p(AMPS) has not significantly influenced the morphology of the hydrogels or the size of the iron particles while having great effect on swelling of p(AMPS) hydrogels in water. Copolymeric hydrogels of AMPS with acrylamide in different composition were also prepared. Thermogravimetric analysis and transmission electron microscopy results showed that the AMPS content of the copolymeric hydrogel has great impact on both the metal ion loading capacity and the size of the resultant metal particles. 相似文献

The present work demonstrates the possibilities and the limits of the in situ electrochemical scanning tunneling microscopy
for investigation of nucleation processes in magnetic fields on the examples of Cu and Co electrodeposition onto Au(111) electrodes
from sulfate electrolytes with pH 3. Cyclic voltammograms of Cu in the underpotential range (UPD) exhibit no significant change
in the cathodic and anodic peaks recorded in magnetic fields parallel to the surface. In magnetic fields of a permanent magnet,
the reconstruction of Au has been annihilated during UPD of Cu. In the overpotential range, the dissolution of Cu is inhibited.
This triggers the formation of a Cu–Au surface alloy. The UPD deposition of Co onto Au(111) could be proven without magnetic
field, which leads to the formation of two monolayers. The nucleation in an applied field could not be observed due to higher
induced fluctuations and microconvective effects.

We have conducted a high-level quantum chemistry study of the interactions of 1,2-dimethoxyethane (DME) with water for complexes representing both hydrophilic and hydrophobic hydration. It was found that our previous quantum chemistry-based force field for poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) and its oligomers in aqueous solution did a poor job in describing the hydrophobic binding of water to the ether, consistent with our recent calculations of the excess free energy and entropy of hydration of DME. Our original force field was revised to more accurately reproduce the interaction of water with the carboneous portions of DME. Molecular dynamics simulations of aqueous DME solutions using the revised quantum chemistry-based potential yielded good agreement with experiment for excess free energy, enthalpy, and volume as well as excess solution viscosity and the self-diffusion of water. Comparison with our original potential revealed that the relatively hydrophobic ether-water interactions in the new potential strongly reduced the favorable excess free energy and enthalpy but have relatively little influence on the excess entropy for dilute DME solutions. Other properties of DME and PEO solutions including conformational populations and dynamics, solution viscosity, hydrogen bonding, water translational and rotational diffusion and neutron structure factor as a function of solution composition were found to be largely unchanged from those obtained using the original potential. 相似文献

The field constant of the NQR frequency of a chlorine atom (35Cl) in a series of arsenic derivatives [R1R2R3AsCl]+M− was estimated from correlations. The field frequency is ∼41.5±3.5 Hz cm kV−1, which is nearly twice as much as that in analogous phosphorus compounds.

We observed field emission microscopy (FEM) patterns of noble‐metal (NM) covered W nano‐tips with three different apex structures fabricated by field evaporation. Each of the three tips was terminated with a single atom, three atoms or ten atoms. We investigated the temporal changes in the FEM of these tips to discuss the stabilities in the spatial distributions of the field emission (FE) beams. The single‐atom tip showed two characteristics that were superior to the others. First, the beams emitted from the single‐atom tip were the most collimated among the three tips (the semi‐cone angle of 1.0° , FWHM). Second, adsorption of residual gas had little influence on FE from the single‐atom tip, while the other tips were easily contaminated even at ultra high vacuum, resulting in the emission fluctuation. The effect of the magnetic field on the electrokinetic transport coefficients (permeability coefficient and electro-osmotic permeability coefficient) of water and aqueous solutions of mercuric chloride and glycine through a sintered disc impregnated with cellulose acetate at different potentials, concentrations, and magnetic fields varying up to 21 kg/cm2 are reported at 308.15 K. The phenomenological coefficients characterizing the electro-osmotic flow and the membrane characteristics are also estimated for the various solutions with the object of determining the efficiencies of electrokinetic energy conversion and ζ potential. A laser ablation system using a Nd:YAG laser was coupled both to a quadrupole inductively coupled plasma (ICP) mass spectrometer and to a double-focusing sector field ICP mass spectrometer. Laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS) was applied for the determination of long-lived radionuclides in a concrete matrix. The investigated samples were two laboratory standards with a concrete matrix, which we doped with different long-lived radionuclides (e.g. 99Tc, 232Th, 233U, 237Np) from the ng g−1 to μ g−1 concentration range and an undoped concrete material (blank). Detection limits for long-lived radionuclides in the 10 ng g−1 range are reached for LA-ICP-MS using the quadrupole mass spectrometer. With double-focusing sector field ICP-MS, the limits of detection are in general one order of magnitude lower and reach the sub ng g−1 range for 233U and 237Np. A comparison of mass spectrometric results with those of neutron activation analysis on undoped concrete sample indicates that a semiquantitative determination of the concentrations of the minor and trace elements in the concrete matrix is possible with LA-ICP-MS without using a standard reference material. 相似文献
