A mean-field model of nonlinearly coupled oscillators with randomly distributed frequencies and subject to independent external white noises is analyzed in the thermodynamic limit. When the frequency distribution isbimodal, new results include subcritical spontaneous stationary synchronization of the oscillators, supercritical time-periodic synchronization, bistability, and hysteretic phenomena. Bifurcating synchronized states are asymptotically constructed near bifurcation values of the coupling strength, and theirnonlinear stability properties ascertained.  相似文献

This paper presents a simple chaotic circuit consisting of two capacitors, one linear two-port VCCS and one time-state-controlled impulsive switch. The impulsive switch causes rich chaotic and periodic behavior. The circuit dynamics can be simplified into a one-dimensional return map that is piecewise linear and piecewise monotone. Using the return map, we clarify parameter conditions for existence of chaotic and periodic attractors and coexistence state of attractors.  相似文献

We generalize a well-known two-parameter quantization for the group GL 2(k) (over an arbitrary field k). Specifically, a certain class of Hopf algebras is constructed containing that quantization. The algebras are constructed given an arbitrary coalgebra and an arbitrary pair of its commuting anti-isomorphisms, and are defined by quadratic relations. They are densely linked to the compact quantum groups introduced by Woronowicz. We give examples of Hopf algebras that can be rowed up to the two-parameter quantization for GL 2(k).  相似文献

Breathers in discrete nonlinear ferrimagnetic spin lattices are investigated for both easy-axis and easy-plane configurations. The region in frequency space of the formation of breathers is determined and the anticontinuum limit discussed. In this paper, we study the existence of periodic orbits bifurcating from stationary solutions of a planar dynamical system of Filippov type. This phenomenon is interpreted as a generalized Hopf bifurcation. In the case of smoothness, Hopf bifurcation is characterized by a pair of complex conjugate eigenvalues crossing through the imaginary axis. This method does not carry over to nonsmooth systems, due to the lack of linearization at the origin which is located on the line of discontinuity. In fact, generalized Hopf bifurcation is determined by interactions between the discontinuity of the system and the eigen-structures of all subsystems. With the help of geometrical observations for a corresponding piecewise linear system, we derive an analytical method to investigate the existence of periodic orbits that are obtained by searching for the fixed points of return maps.  相似文献

Microorganisms produce toxins against its competitors sometimes, and variable yields are useful to explain the observed oscillatory behavior in the reactor. In this paper, a model with general quadric yields of competition in the bioreactor of two competitors for a single nutrient where one of the competitors can produce toxin against its opponent, is proposed. We analyze the asymptotic behavior of the model in terms of the relevant parameters. The conditions of the three dimensional Hopf bifurcation, and the existence of limit cycles in the nutrient-organism phase plane are obtained.  相似文献
