Motivated by the central limit problem for convex bodies, we study normal approximation of linear functionals of high-dimensional random vectors with various types of symmetries. In particular, we obtain results for distributions which are coordinatewise symmetric, uniform in a regular simplex, or spherically symmetric. Our proofs are based on Stein’s method of exchangeable pairs; as far as we know, this approach has not previously been used in convex geometry. The spherically symmetric case is treated by a variation of Stein’s method which is adapted for continuous symmetries. This work was done while at Stanford University.  相似文献

In this paper, we suggest and analyze a new two-step predictor–corrector type iterative method free from second derivatives for solving nonlinear equations of the type f(x)=0. This new method includes the two-step Newton method as a special case. We prove that the new iterative method is of fourth-order. Several examples are given to illustrate the efficiency of this new method and its comparison with other iterative methods. This method can be considered as a significant improvement of the Newton method and its variant forms.  相似文献

Comparing with two-dimensional contact problems, three-dimensional frictional contact problems are more difficult to deal with, because of the unknown slip direction of the tangential force and enormous computing time. In order to overcome these difficulties, a combined PQP (Parametric Quadratic Programming) and iteration method is derived in this paper. The iteration algorithm, which alleviates the difficulty of unknown slip direction, is used along with the PQP method to cut down computing costs. 本文基于脱氧核糖核酸 (DNA)对有机染料副品红的共振光散射的增强效应 ,拟定了一种测定DNA的共振光散射法。在pH =0 5~ 1 5范围内 ,有机染料副品红于 35 5nm处的共振光散射强度被DNA强烈增强 ,且增强程度与DNA浓度呈线性关系 ,线性范围为 0 10~ 15 μg·mL- 1 ,检出限可达 36ng·mL- 1 。该方法简便、快速、具有较高的灵敏度和准确度 ,且线性范围较宽。将该方法用于混合样品中DNA的测定 ,结果令人满意。  相似文献

热传导型半导体器件的瞬时状态由四个方程的非线性偏微分方程组的初边值问题所决定,其中电子位势方程是椭圆型的,电子和空穴浓度方程是对流扩散型的,温度方程为热传导型的。本文提出解这类问题的特征变网格有限元法,并进行了理论分析,在一定条件下,得到了某种意义下的最佳L^2误差估计结果。  相似文献

本文对四种多变量校准方法--经典最小二乘法(CLS),偏最小二乘法(PLS),卡尔曼滤波法(KFM)以及人工神经网络法(ANN)--在多组分浓度分析方面的性能进行了比较。选择五种红外谱图严重混叠的大气有机毒物--1,3-丁二烯,苯,邻二甲苯,氯苯和丙烯醛--作为分析对象。分别计算各种方法对该5组分体系的平均预测误差MPE和平均相对误差MRE进行比较。结果表明,偏最小二乘法在处理这类问题中是最稳健的方法。  相似文献

To satisfy the volatile nature of today’s markets, businesses require a significant reduction in product development lead times. Consequently, the ability to develop precise product sales forecasts is of fundamental importance to decision-makers. Over the years, many forecasting techniques of varying capabilities have been introduced. The precise extent of their influences, and the interactions between them, has never been fully clarified, although various forecasting factors have been explored in previous studies. Accordingly, this study adopts the Taguchi method to calibrate the controllable factors of a forecasting model. An L9(34) inner orthogonal array is constructed for the controllable factors of data period, horizon length, and number of observations required. An experimental design is then performed to establish the appropriate levels for each factor. At the same time, an L4(23) outer orthogonal array is used to consider the inherited parameters of forecasting method as the noise factors of Taguchi method simultaneously. An illustrated example, employing data from a power company, serves to demonstrate the thesis. The results show that the proposed model permits the construction of a highly efficient forecasting model through the suggested data collection method.  相似文献

The use of photonic materials has been used in the theory of optical waves. The PBG (Photonic Band Gap) theory and material, was developed recently for optical frequencies and can be easily applied to millimeter waves, microwaves and planar antenna frequencies. The presence of photonic materials as substrate in antennas has some good characteristics such as, supression of light spontaneous emission and suppression of surface waves, allowing the application in planar antenna array. In this work an elaborate analysis using the full wave Transverse Transmission Line - TTL method, that provides efficient and concise results is applied to the planar antennas array with PBG substrate.  相似文献
