FT-IR spectra of UHMW-PE tapes with different moduli have been studied in dependence of mechanical deformation and stress. Small spectral variations have been revealed in the difference spectra. Band shifts of the 730/720 cm–1 doublet have been observed under stress relaxation and upon stretching. A clear correlation between the shift of crystalline bands and the Young's modulus could be determined. Polarized measurements demonstrated variations in the mechanical response of nearly perfectly oriented and non-oriented crystallites. Crosslinking was performed by blending the polyethylene with 10% polysilane and UV-irradiation of the drawn material. The band shift increases as the linkage between oriented crystal blocks is improved with higher draw ratios and chemical crosslinking.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Docking represents one of the most popular computational approaches in drug design. It has reached popularity owing to capability of identifying correct conformations of a ligand within an active site of the target-protein and of estimating the binding affinity of a ligand that is immensely helpful in prediction of compound activity. Despite many success stories, there are challenges, in particular, handling with a large number of degrees of freedom in solving the docking problem. Here, we show that SOL-P, the docking program based on the new Tensor Train algorithm, is capable to dock successfully oligopeptides having up to 25 torsions. To make the study comparative we have performed docking of the same oligopeptides with the SOL program which uses the same force field as that utilized by SOL-P and has common features of many docking programs: the genetic algorithm of the global optimization and the grid approximation. SOL has managed to dock only one oligopeptide. Moreover, we present the results of docking with SOL-P ligands into proteins with moveable atoms. Relying on visual observations we have determined the common protein atom groups displaced after docking which seem to be crucial for successful prediction of experimental conformations of ligands.  相似文献

The basic route and mechanism for diapedesis has not yet to be fully defined. Here we present evidence that "cell-cell separation" between endothelial cells (ECs) may provide a route for leukocyte diapedesis. We unexpectedly found that extensive interaction between peripheral blood leukocytes and ECs that were activated by TNF-α induced the opening of EC contacts and, surprisingly, resulted in cell-cell separation. This event was specific to the intercellular adhesion molecules-1 (ICAM-1)/leukocyte function-associated antigen-1 interaction, as demonstrated by the following: (1) ICAM-1 expression correlated with increased EC contraction; and (2) the blocking of ICAM-1 selectively inhibited EC separation. Thus, we suggest that "cell-cell separation" could be a mechanism for diapedesis in situations that may require massive leukocyte infiltration.  相似文献

研究了少周期脉冲串作用下三能级原子中的布居转移和相干布居捕获现象.在非旋波近似的情况下求解了密度矩阵方程.研究结果表明在等时间间隔的锁相脉冲作用下,系统能级的布居逐步转移并积累,系统基态相干也逐步积累.在满足脉冲重复频率为基态能级频差的整数分之一倍时,三能级系统和频率梳中两梳齿频率成分作用形成相干布居捕获现象,原子暗态布居值达到最大,介质对脉冲透明.在适当选取少周期脉冲参量的情况下,在0.5个ns的时间内三能级系统相干性演化到最大后到达稳态,相干布居捕获发生.与脉宽为100个fs的多周期脉冲相比,少周期脉冲串在介质中建立相干布居捕获的时间缩短两个数量级.由于频率梳中与三能级系统发生作用的梳频成份有相同的频移,相干布居捕获的条件双光子共振仍然满足.因而,当两基态能级频率差较大时,如果选取少周期脉冲载波频率为系统能级1至2和1至3的传输频率之和的一半ω=(ω12)/2,室温下原子热运动的引起的多普勒频移并不会破坏相干布居捕获.  相似文献

In this paper, we propose a new formula of the real-time minimum safety headway based on the relative velocity of consecutive trains and present a dynamic model of high-speed passenger train movements in the rail line based on the proposed formula of the minimum safety headway. Moreover, we provide the control strategies of the high-speed passenger train operations based on the proposed formula of the real-time minimum safety headway and the dynamic model of highspeed passenger train movements. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed control strategies of the passenger train operations can greatly reduce the delay propagation in the high-speed rail line when a random delay occurs.  相似文献

The electrodynamic characteristics of single DNA molecules moving within micro-/nano-fluidic channels are important in the design of biomedical chips and bimolecular sensors. In this study, the dynamic properties of λ-DNA molecules transferring along the microchannels driven by the external electrickinetic force were systemically investigated with the single molecule fluorescence imaging technique. The experimental results indicated that the velocity of DNA molecules was strictly dependent on the value of the applied electric field and the diameter of the channel. The larger the external electric field, the larger the velocity, and the more significant deformation of DNA molecules. More meaningfully, it was found that the moving directions of DNA molecules had two completely different directions:(i) along the direction of the external electric field, when the electric field intensity was smaller than a certain threshold value;(ii) opposite to the direction of the external electric field, when the electric field intensity was greater than the threshold electric field intensity.The reversal movement of DNA molecules was mainly determined by the competition between the electrophoresis force and the influence of electro-osmosis flow. These new findings will theoretically guide the practical application of fluidic channel sensors and lab-on-chips for precisely manipulating single DNA molecules.  相似文献
