Under the conditions studied for the synthesis of mesophase materials with alkylpyridinium halides an increase in the density of packing of these molecules in the encapsulated micelles was observed with an increase in the length of the alkyl radicals. The previously unknown 1-amino- and 3-aminonaphtho[1,2-d]imidazoles, 1-aminonaphtho[2,3-d]imidazole, 1-aminophenanthro[9,10-d]imidazole and the N-amino-N'-methylimidazolium picrates corresponding to them have been obtained by direct amination of a series of condensed imidazoles with O-picrylhydroxylamine. Dynamic light scattering experiments in acid-catalyzed silica sols are discussed. It is shown that in spite of limited parameter accuracy and limited absolute knowledge of the particle sizes, the scattering data from various experiments are comparable with one another and give information about structural differences. One novel complex [Co(p-MBA)2(2,2'-bipy)(H2O)]·(H2O) has been synthesized by the reaction of p-methylbenzoic acid with 2,2'-bipyridine in the solvent mixture of water and methanol. It crystallizes in triclinic, space group P-1 with a=0.70479(14), b=1.1211(2), c=1.6718(3) nm, α=103.806(3), β=90.795(3), γ=104.207(3)°, V=1.2399(4) nm3, Mr=512.41, Dc=1.373 g/cm3, Z=2, F(000)=532, μ=0.733 mm-1, R=0.0432 and wR=0.0957. The crystal structural analysis shows that the cobalt atom is coordinated with three oxygen atoms from two p-methylbenzoic acids and one water molecule and two nitrogen atoms from one 2,2'-bipyridine,forming a distorted square-pyramidal coordination geometry. We report a comprehensive theoretical study on the decarbonylation of acetaldehyde by Fe+ and Cr+. Various intermediates, transition states, and products involved in the decarbonylation reactions are fully optimized at the B3LYP/6-311+G(2df,2pd) level of theory. The potential energy surfaces (PESs) corresponding to [M,O,C2,H4]+(M=Cr and Fe) are examined in detail using B3LYP and CCSD(T) methods, respectively. The validity of these theoretical methods is calibrated with respect to the available thermochemical data. Calculations suggest that the Cr+ mediated decarbonylation of acetaldehyde takes place in four steps on the sextet surface: encounter complexation, C-C activation, aldehyde H-shift, and nonreactive dissociation, in good accordance with the Co+ mediated decarbonylation of acetaldehyde [Zhao, Zhang, Guo, Wu, Lu, Chem. Phys. Lett. 2005, 414, 28], while for the Fe+/acetaldehyde system decarbonylation can occur on both the quartet and the sextet PESs. The quartet pathway, which experiences spin-orbit coupling between the two surfaces, is energetically more favorable; whereas along the sextet decarbonylation coordinate several high-energy barriers are revealed. The theoretical results are compared with the experimental product kinetic energy and angular distributions of decarbonylation of acetaldehyde by Fe+ and Cr+ measured using a crossed-beam technique [Sonnenfroh, Farrar, J. 新鄂西香茶菜素为首次从抗癌中草药鄂西香茶菜[Rabdosia henryi (Hemsl) Hara]的叶子中分离得到的二萜化合物。前人曾从毛叶香茶菜[R. japonica (Burm. f)Hara]中分离出该化合物并依据光谱数据推测其结构(右图)。但其结晶学研究尚未见报道。为研究其立体结构及分子在晶体中的排布方式,我们对该化合物的晶体进行了X射线结构分析。 相似文献
