Structural, optical and electrical properties of silicate films modified by structure fragments containing different organic groups were studied. The ORMOSILs were produced by a cohydrolysis of tetraethoxysilane with different types of alkyl (aryl) substituted alkoxysilanes. Film structure and its evolution during heat treatment were studied by ellipsometry and IR spectroscopy. For methyl- and phenyl-modified silicate films the shrinkage is lower than for silicate ones in the range of annealing temperature from 200 to 500°C. The shrinkage of phenyl-modified silicate film is more than three times lower than of methyl- and trimethyl-modified ones. The presence of single or double C=C bonds in the organic chain leads to an increase in the film shrinkage due to the thermodestruction of the bond as it is confirmed by IR data. In the case of phenyl- and methyl-modified silicate films this process starts from 500°C and it is accompanied by abrupt film shrinkage. The dielectric constant and the loss tangent of methyl and phenyl groups decrease due to reduction of hydroxyl content and film density. Other groups are not effective due to their thermodestruction at lower temperatures.  相似文献

Dynamic light scattering experiments in acid-catalyzed silica sols are discussed. It is shown that in spite of limited parameter accuracy and limited absolute knowledge of the particle sizes, the scattering data from various experiments are comparable with one another and give information about structural differences. Measurements at various angles indicate changes between non-spherical and nearly spherical particles and allow the estimation of gelling times before gelation.  相似文献

The ratio between the numbers of structural formulas of C,H,N,O-containing energetic compounds belonging to the classes of fuels (low values of the oxygen coefficientA), explosives (mediumA), and oxidants (highA values) was studied by a computer generation procedure. The number of the theoretically possible structural formulas was found to decrease rapidly on going from fuels to explosives and then to oxidants; this observation agrees with the data on the numbers of various energetic compounds currently used and proposed. The strategy of the search for new compounds with the specified properties is described in brief, and its applicability to the search for explosives and oxidants with a small (up to 12) number of atoms in a molecule is evaluated. The potential of the structural analogy method in the topological studies of adamantane derivatives and analogs is demonstrated. The topological and structural characteristics of these compounds are calculated. Chromatographic retention indices were determined experimentally. A novel and cost-effective sol-gel process for preparation of MgAl2O4 spinel nanometer powders has been developed in this study. A solution of magnesium and aluminum nitrates in stoichiometric proportion was successfully embraced in the biology polysaccharide gel network, formed by the synergistic interaction between xanthan gum (XG) and locust bean gum (LBG) utilizing their broad-spectrum stability of salt tolerance and character of transformation from sol to gel on the condition of proper temperature and relative proportion of polymeric components. Dry gel could be obtained by vacuum dehydration of aqueous gel at low temperatures. Monolithic MgAl2O4 spinel nanometer powders were produced by calcining the dry gel above 800°C, with average crystallite size of 20 nanometers.  相似文献

We present a microstructural model of aerogels that includes the effect of particle necks, tortuosity and dangling ends on the scaling of elastic moduli with density. Relative neck radii can be determined for sintering series of silica aerogels and for Resorcinol Formaldehyde (RF) aerogels produced with different catalyst concentrations. The density of elastically ineffective dangling ends and the tortuosity can be estimated using information from thermal conductivity and elastic modulus measurements in silica aerogels. Typical values for the load bearing mass range from >50% for high density and heat treated aerogels to <10% of the total mass for low density wet-gels.  相似文献

The crystal structure of the product of the condensation of (salicylideneamino)nitroguanidine with salicylaldehyde on a Ni2+ ion template, K[Ni(C15H10N5O4)] · DMF, has been studied. It was established that a planar Ni complex, consisting of isolated [NiL] anions and solvated [K+ · DMF] cations, is formed. The negative charge of the anion is localized mainly on the O atoms of the nitro group. A method is proposed for the estimation of absolute binding free energy of interaction between proteins and ligands. The linear interaction energy method is combined with atom‐bond electronegativity equalization method at σπ level Force field (fused into molecular mechanics) and generalized Born continuum model calculation of electrostatic solvation for the estimation of the absolute free energy of binding. The parameters of this method are calibrated by using a training set of 24 HIV‐1 protease–inhibitor complexes (PDB entry 1AAQ). A correlation coefficient of 0.93 was obtained with a root mean square deviation of 0.70 kcal mol?1. This approach is further tested on seven inhibitor and protease complexes, and it provides small root mean square deviation between the calculated binding free energy and experimental binding free energy without reparametrization. By comparing the radii of gyration and the hydrogen bond distances between ligand and protein of three training model molecules, the consistent comparison result of binding free energy is obtained. It proves that this method of calculating the binding free energy with appropriate structural analysis can be applied to quickly assess new inhibitors of HIV‐1 proteases. To test whether the parameters of this method can apply to other drug targets, we have validated this method for the drug target cyclooxygenase‐2. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
