对窄缝中气泡在磁性液体中的上升与变形进行了可视化研究。定性分析了纳米磁性颗粒引发的黏度效应及表面活性剂分子依附作用对气泡上升速度与形状的影响。试验工质为体积浓度6.33%的水基Fe_3O_4磁性液体,同时对比了质量浓度25%的四甲基氢氧化铵水溶液、质量分数30%和50%的蔗糖溶液以及水中气泡的上升运动。窄缝间隙分别为1 mm和2 mm,气泡由底部不同直径的圆孔产生。试验结果表明:由于活性剂分子的存在,磁性液体气泡上升过程中由扁椭圆形渐转变为上圆下平的冠状,而其略大于水的黏度使气泡在1 mm窄缝中保持直线上升运动,但窄缝间隙增大到2 mm后,磁性液体中气泡的运动轨迹仍会发生振荡。  相似文献

The paper presents a computational model for elastic waves in a structured weld adjacent to the free surface of an elastic solid. The main emphasis is on the interaction of waves with the micro-structure of the weld. Effects of localisation and channeling of waves are addressed. Small-angle neutron scattering studies have been carried out to check the structural integrity of citryltrimethylammonium bromide (CTABr) micelles in a magnetic fluid for different magnetic fluid concentrations at two different temperatures 303 and 333 K. It is found that the CTABr micelles grow with increasing magnetic fluid concentration and there is a decrease in the micellar size with increase in temperature.  相似文献

Conventional electrorheological (ER) fluids consist of electrically polarizable particles dispersed in an inert insulating liquid. They are characterized by a development of a yield stress upon application of an external electric field. They resemble Bingham fluids with yield stress value depending on electric field. A viscosity increase in the presence of an electric field has been also found in homogeneous solutions of liquid crystalline polymers with no yield stress observed. In this study these two types of fluids and combined dispersions of the solid particles in the liquid crystalline matrix were investigated. A lyotropic liquid crystalline polymer—poly(n‐hexyl isocyanate) (PHIC)—dissolved in xylene was chosen as the active matrix. The dispersed solid phase was comprised of two kinds of polymers: pyrolyzed polyacrylonitryle (PAN) showing electron conductivity, and PAN doped with two salts (KSCN, NaSCN), resulting in ionic conductivity. The rheological measurements under an electric field were performed. The pristine xylene solution of PHIC was characterized first as well as the 15% m/m dispersions of PAN powders in silicone oil. Then the dispersions in the liquid crystalline matrix were investigated showing a strong ER effect whose magnitude was considerably enhanced in comparison to both ER active components measured separately. Introduction of polyalkoxyalkyleneamide grafts to guar gum produces a new water soluble guar derivative. Modification of either guar gum or hydroxyopropyl guar is achieved in a three‐step process: carboxymethylation with sodium chloroacetate, esterification with dimethyl sulfate (DMS) and amidation with a series of polyalkoxyalkyleneamines. The process was followed using infrared spectroscopy; the grafted guar derivatives were characterized using 1H NMR. A series of hydroxypropyl guar (HPR) derivatives with degrees of carboxymethylations ranging from 0.2–0.3 were modified with polyalkoxyalkyleneamines with molecular weights ranging from 300 to 3000. The ratio of oxypropylene to oxoethylene units in the polyalkoxyalkyleneamines was varied from 9/1 to 8/58 to adjust the hydrophobicity of the grafts. Aqueous solutions of the graft copolymers exhibit viscosities one to two orders of magnitude lower than the corresponding solutions of the parent guar gum. The surface tension of aqueous polymer solutions of polyacrylamide (PAM), polyacrylic acid (PAA), carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC), and hydroxyethyl cellulose (HEC) was studied over a range of polymer concentrations by using the maximum bubble pressure method at temperatures ranging from 20 to 65°C. The surface tension of water was also measured by the maximum bubble pressure method as well as by the DuNoüy ring method over the same temperature range. The experimental water data are in excellent agreement with the well-established tabulated data in the literature.

For a fixed concentration, all of the polymer solutions exhibited a decrease in surface tension with increasing temperature level. When compared with water at a fixed temperature level, the PAM and CMC solutions showed slightly higher surface tension values, whereas the PAA solutions yielded values equal to those found for water. In the case of the HEC solutions, the measured surface tensions decreased with concentration at a fixed temperature level and were lower than the values found for water. For a concentration of 2000 wppm the surface tension values for the hydroxyethyl cellulose were of the order of 10% lower than those for water at a fixed temperature level.

A comparison of the new measurements with the relatively limited previously published studies showed good agreement.  相似文献

Summary The momentum distributionn(k) and the one-body density matrix ρ1(r,r' have been calculated in normal liquid3He atT=0. A variational wave function containing two-, three-body and backflow correlations has been used. The Fermi hypernetted chain technique has been employed and the elementary diagrams have been evaluated by the scaling approximation. The present estimate ofn(k) is in good agreement with the Monte Carlo data obtained with similar wave functions.n(k) and the discontinuityZ ofn(k) at the Fermi surface have been computed at several values of the density. The density dependence of the effective massm * has been found to be mainly due to that ofZ.  相似文献
