The enhancement of continuously rotating detonation in oxygen-enriched air was demonstrated in an annular rotating detonation combustor (RDC) under a diffusive supply of hydrogen and an oxidizer. Experimental tests were performed to reveal the effects of oxygen volume fraction, mass flow rate, and equivalent ratio on the propagation of continuously rotating detonation wave (CRDW). It is observed that an increase in the air mass flow rate from 25 g/s to 225 g/s causes an increase in the propagation velocity of the stable CRDW in the RDC. For an oxygen volume fraction up to 35%, the difference between the propagation velocity of detonation and the theoretical Chapman–Jouguet value is less than 5%. Under the chemical stoichiometric ratio condition for air, the CRDW is stabilized when the air mass flow rate reaches 185 g/s. However, stabilized CRDW is observed even when the air flow rate is only 45 g/s under the presence of 30% or 35% oxygen. Increase in the oxygen volume fraction leads to an extension of the rich/lean limit for generating a stable CRDW. In order to investigate fractionation of calcium (Ca) isotopes in vertebrates as a diagnostic tool to detect Ca metabolism dysfunction we analyzed the Ca isotopic composition (δ44/40Ca?=?[(44Ca/40Ca)sample/(44Ca/40Ca)reference]?1) of diet, faeces, blood, bones and urine from Göttingen minipigs, an animal model for human physiology. Samples of three groups were investigated: 1. control group (Con), 2. group with glucocorticosteroid induced osteoporosis (GIO) and 3. group with Ca and vitamin D deficiency induced osteomalacia (?CaD). In contrast to Con and GIO whose average δ44/40Cafaeces values (0.39?±?0.13‰ and 0.28?±?0.08‰, respectively) tend to be lower than their diet (0.47?±?0.02‰), δ44/40Cafaeces of ?CaD (?0.27?±?0.21‰) was significantly lower than their δ44/40Cadiet (0.37?±?0.03‰), but also lower than δ44/40Cafaeces of Con and GIO. We suggest that the low δ44/40Cafaeces of ?CaD might be due to the contribution of isotopically light Ca from gastrointestinal fluids during gut passage. Assuming that this endogenous Ca source is a common physiologic feature, a fractionation during Ca absorption is also required for explaining δ44/40Cafaeces of Con and GIO. The δ44/40Caurine of all groups are high (>2.0‰) reflecting preferential renal reabsorption of light Ca isotopes. In Göttingen minipigs we found a Ca isotope fractionation between blood and bones (Δ44/40Cablood-bone) of 0.68?±?0.15‰. 相似文献

Considering the dipole-dipole coupling intensity between two atoms and the field in the Fock state, the entanglement dynamics between two atoms that are initially entangled in the system of two two-level atoms coupled to a single mode cavity in the presence of phase decoherence has been investigated. The two-atom entanglement appears with periodicity without considering phase decoherence, however, the phase decoherence causes the decay of entanglement between two atoms, with the increasing of the phase decoherence coefficient, the entanglement will quickly become a constant value, which is affected by the two-atom initial state. Meanwhile the two-atom quantum state will forever stay in the maximal entangled state when the initial state is proper even in the presence of phase decoherence. On the other hand, the Bell violation and the entanglement do not satisfy the monotonous relation, a large Bell violation implies the presence of a large amount of entanglement under certain conditions, while a large Bell violation corresponds to a little amount of entanglement in certain situations. However, the violation of Bell-CHSH inequality can reach the maximal value if two atoms are in the maximal entangled state, or vice versa. 相似文献

Ergot alkaloids (sum=total alkaloids, TA) originate from the phyto-pathogenic fungus Claviceps purpurea and might exert feed intake depressing and hepatotoxic effects on animals. The aim of the study was to evaluate TA effects on performance and liver function of piglets with the [13C]methacetin breath test and two routes of tracer administration (orally, p.o.; intramuscularly, i.m.). Two ergot batches were mixed into piglet diets resulting in 21 and 17 mg TA kg?1 (Ergot-5 and -12, respectively) and compared with an ergot-free control diet. Feed intake was significantly depressed after feeding the ergot containing diets (p=<0.001). The time at maximum 13CO2 exhalation (t max) and the half-life (t 0.5) were not influenced by treatments and varied between 25 and 68 min after the p.o., and 28 and 62 min after the i.m. administration of [13C]methacetin, respectively. The cumulative 13C recovery (cPDR30) was significantly lower due to feeding the diet Ergot-5 (6.6 %) compared with the Ergot-12 (8.8 %) and the control diet (9.7 %) irrespective of the route of tracer administration (p=0.044). As a discrimination of the diet effects through both tracer administration routes is possible, the i.m. application should be preferred in piglets as this causes less stress than the oral forced administration. 相似文献

We reconsider the principle of the 13C bicarbonate (NaH13CO3) method (13C-BM) for the determination of the CO2 production to obtain an estimate of energy expenditure (EE). Its mathematical concept based on a three-compartmental model is related to the [15N]glycine end product method. The CO2 production calculated by the 13C-BM, RaCO2(13C) is compared to the result from the indirect calorimetry, RCO2(IC). In an interspecies comparison (dog, goat, horse, cattle, children, adult human; body mass ranging from 15 to 350?kg, resting and fasting conditions) we found an excellent correlation between the results of 13C-BM and IC with RCO2(IC)?=?0.703?×?RaCO2(13C), (R2?=?0.99). The slope of this correlation corresponds to the fractional 13C recovery (RF(13C)) of 13C in breath CO2 after administration of NaH13CO3. Significant increase in RF(13C) was found in physically active dogs (0.95?±?0.14; n?=?5) vs. resting dogs (0.71?±?0.10, n?=?17; p?=?.015). The 13C recovery in young bulls was greater in blood CO2 (0.81?±?0.05) vs. breath CO2 (0.73?±?0.05, n?=?12, p?<?.001) and in ponies with oral (0.76?±?0.03, n?=?8) vs. intravenous administration of NaH13CO3 (0.69?±?0.07; n?=?8; p?=?.026). Abstract Young wheat (C3) and maize (C4) plants were exposed to near-ambient concentrations of ozone in open-top chambers in order to investigate the possible effects of ozone on nitrogen metabolism. Nitrogen was supplied to the plants by adding 15N-labelled tracer substances via the soil substrate. Enzyme activities (NADH nitrate reductase, nitrite reductase, glutamine synthetase and NADH glutamate dehydrogenase) and the incorporation of 15N were determined. The findings show that nitrogen metabolism was affected by O3, however, there were distinct differences between the two species. In plants treated with O3, NADH nitrate reductase activity in maize leaves was reduced, while NR activity in wheat leaves only slightly declined. Only minor changes were observed with respect to the activities of nitrite reductase, glutamine synthetase and NADH glutamate dehydrogenase. Feeding experiments using 15NO3 ? showed that the incorporation of nitrate nitrogen in wheat plants exposed to ozone remains virtually unchanged, whereas in maize plants reduced incorporation rates were observed for nitrate nitrogen. The incorporation of ammonium nitrogen was distinctly increased in wheat and maize by the impact of ozone. When investigating pigment contents, reduced levels of chlorophyll a and b and carotenoids were observed, whereas the pigment content of wheat leaves remained unchanged. These results indicate that young maize plants are more susceptible than wheat plants to short-term ozone exposure. 相似文献
