Superradiance of trapped atoms

A new method for calculating the total power of the spontaneous emission of a few motionless two-level atoms located at a distance of the order of the resonance-radiation wavelength with dipole-dipole interaction is suggested. The method is based on the Schrödinger representation. It is shown, as an example, that two trapped atoms cannot emit a pulse of superradiance under any conditions, while four atoms can emit such a pulse at certain conditions. Different ways of introducing the quasi-stationary states of atoms along with the generalization of the proposed method to other resonance systems are discussed.     

准分子激光放大器中的三维放大自发辐射效应

发展了小纵横比条件下、具有圆柱对称性介质的高功能ＫｒＦ准分子激光放大器中，放大自发辐射效应的三维理论模型和计算程序。考虑自发辐射的频率分布效应以及侧壁表面反射效应。结果分析表明，当纵横比及入射负载均较小时，放大自发辐射对输出光束质量有较大的影响。     

Spontaneous magnetization of the Ising model on a layered square lattice

We have studied the Ising model on a layered square lattice with four different coupling constants and two different magnetic moments. The partition function at zero magnetic field is derived exactly. We propose a formula for the spontaneous magnetization which agrees with the exact low-temperature series expansion up to the 16th order and reduces to the exact result of Au-Yang and McCoy in a special case.     

A conformai,symmetry broken model for gravity

Starting from Padmanabhan's fully conformally invariant action, we obtain gravity as a spontaneously broken theory. Newton's constant and the cosmological constant follow from the breakdown of the conformal symmetry at the tree approximation. For small oscillation of the scalar field about the fundamental state, the matter field degenerates into two decoupled fields.     

Effects of gordon-haus jitter on soliton transmission

The bit error rate (BER) performance of an optical soliton communication system is analyzed. Based on the jitter variance equation and the chi-square distribution for the amplified spontaneous emission noise, an analytic expression for the BER calculation is obtained. We have investigated the effects of Gordon-Haus jitter, which is due to the random phase shift of the soliton individual central wavelength induced by the amplified spontaneous emission noise of the amplifiers. Very good agreement has been obtained between our theory and the reported experimental results.     

k（k〉2）光子Jaynes—Cummings模型中自发辐射场的位相演化特性

应用Ｐｅｇｇ－Ｂａｒｎｅｔ（ＰＢ）位相理论，研究了ｋ光子Ｊａｙｎｅｓ－Ｃｕｍｍｉｎｇｓ（Ｊ－Ｃ）模型中自发辐射场的位相演化特性，计算了辐射场的位相几率分布函数与位相涨落，给出了在极坐标中位相几率分布演化曲线。     

Spontaneous staggered polarization of theF-model

The order parameter of the two-dimensionalF-model, namely the spontaneous staggered polarizationP ₀, is derived exactly. At the critical temperatureP ₀ has an essential singularity, bothP ₀ and all its derivatives with respect to temperature vanishing.     

球状纳米系统高能级斯塔克效应和谱

以三层CdS/HgS/CdS球状纳米系统为例,研究了在电场和层间作用下球状纳米系统高能级斯塔克效应的能级分裂规律以及谱线的频率、强度和自发幅射系数的线度效应. 结果表明,系统的斯塔克效应在只有电场时,能级是按1,3,…,(2n—1)的规律进行分裂,与氢原子类似;有电场和层间同时作用时,能级是按1,4,…,n²的规律进行分裂. 量子跃迁时各谱线的频率均随系统线度增大而减小,除少数谱线外,多数谱线的强度随线度增大而减小,而自发幅射系数随线度增大而增大;电场会引起谱线的频率发生改变,其谱线频移量与电场强度的平方成正比;除少数谱线外,电场和层间作用引起的谱线频移量均随线度增大而减小;层间作用会使电子的能级稍有降低,稍微增大谱线的强度和自发幅射系数值,但它不会影响谱线的频率、强度和自发幅射系数随线度的变化趋势,在线度较小时层间作用的影响才显著.
