Here we report a spontaneous combustion reaction in synthesizing Pt hollow capsules. In brief, Pt nanoparticles were loaded on the surface of colloidal carbon spheres by wet-chemical impregnation. When Pt-loaded carbon spheres were taken out of an argon-filled tube furnace at room temperature and exposed to air, they underwent spontaneous combustion. The internal carbon spheres templates were removed to leave nanostructured Pt hollow capsules. There are at least two critical conditions for the occurrence of the spontaneous combustion: the Pt particle size is below 5.8 nm, and the hydrogen content in the carbon spheres is above 2.570 wt %. Such a reaction is interesting for the preparation of metal hollow spheres and is also relevant with respect to removal of accumulated carbon on catalysts and for soot oxidation at room temperature.  相似文献

The cavity-enhanced spontaneous parametric down-conversion far below threshold can be used to generate a narrow-band photon pair efficiently. Previous experiments on the cavity-enhanced spontaneous parametric down-conversion almost always utilize continuous wave pump light, but the pulse pumped case is rarely reported. One disadvantage of the continuous wave case is that the photon pair is produced randomly within the coherence time of the pump, which limits its application in the quantum information realm. However, a pulse pump can help to solve this problem. In this paper, we theoretically analyze pulse pumped cavity-enhanced spontaneous parametric down-conversion in detail and show how the pump pulse affects the multi-photon interference visibility, two-photon waveform, joint spectrum and spectral brightness.  相似文献

In this article, we review on narrowband photon pairs producedin nonlinear crystals, and especially in atomic ensembles. In atomicensembles, “write-read” process in pulse mode andspontaneous four-wave mixing process (SFWM) in continuous mode aretwo popular photon pair generation schemes. We specifically discussthe experimental works with continuous SFWM scheme in cold atomicensembles. Photon pairs produced in these systems are characteristicof controllable long coherence time, and therefore are accessiblewith direct temporal modulation. We summarize the findings of a large number of studies concerning the totally asymmetric simple exclusion process (TASEP) with complex lattice geometries. The TASEP has been recognized as a paradigm in modeling and analyzing non-equilibrium traffic systems. The paper surveys both the observed physical phenomena and several popular meanfield approaches used to analyze the extended TASEP models. Several interesting physical phenomena, such as phase separation, spontaneous symmetry breaking, and the finite-size effect, have been identified and explained. The future investigations of the extended TASEP with complex lattice geometries are also introduced. This paper may help to obtain a better understanding of non-equilibrium systems.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Hierarchical self-assembly underpins much of the diversity of form and function seen in soft systems, yet the pathways by which they achieve their final form are not always straightforward – intermediate steps, kinetic effects and finite sizes of aggregates all influence the self-assembly pathways of these systems. In this paper, we use molecular dynamics simulations of binary mixtures of spheres and ellipsoidal discs to investigate the self-assembly of anisotropic aggregates with internal structures. Through this, the full aggregation pathways of spontaneously chiral, multi-bilayer and multi-layer assemblies have been tracked and characterised via a semi-qualitative analysis. This includes the unambiguous identification of first-, second- and third-generation hierarchical assemblies within a single simulation. Given the significant challenge of tracking full aggregation pathways in experimental systems, our findings strongly support the notion that molecular simulation has much to contribute to improving our understanding of hierarchical self-assembling systems.  相似文献

目前,多光子纠缠态的制备大多通过线性光学器件演化自发参量下转换一阶激发过程产生的纠缠光子对得到.本文考虑由自发参量下转换源二阶激发产生四个不可区分的纠缠光子制备四光子超纠缠态的情况.通过几组分束器、半波片和偏振分束器等线性光学器件设计量子线路演化四光子系统,结合四模符合探测,可得到同时具有偏振纠缠和空间纠缠的四光子超纠缠态.  相似文献

We investigate the quantum dynamics of a driven two-level system under spontaneous emission and its application in clock frequency estimation. By using the Lindblad equation to describe the system, we analytically obtain its exact solutions, which show three different regimes: Rabi oscillation, damped oscillation, and overdamped decay. From the analytical solutions, we explore how the spontaneous emission affects the clock frequency estimation. We find that under a moderate spontaneous emission rate, the transition frequency can still be inferred from the Rabi oscillation. Our results enable potential practical applications in frequency measurement and quantum control under decoherence.  相似文献

~(252)Cf同位素源具有标准的自发裂变中子能谱,但由于其半衰期较短,应用中常需要对源强进行标定修正.随着源年龄增加,来自源中~(250)Cf和~(248)Cm自发裂变的影响愈加凸显,不能简单按~(252)Cf的衰变规律计算源中子发射率,而通过锰浴活化的间接测量方法周期较长,且在源强低于10~4 n/s时误差较大.最近,基于中子多重性计数的源强绝对测量算法已得到验证.本文进一步从点模型假设的测量方程出发,在将符合计数率与总中子计数率关联的基础上,分别对符合计数率随源位置、符合门宽的变化关系进行回归分析,提取变化过程的特征系数,建立了两种避规效率变化的~(252)Cf中子发射率测量方法,并基于JCC-51型中子符合测量装置开展实验验证.结果表明:两种回归分析方法的测量值均与标称值的修正结果在2%的偏差范围内一致;反推求得装置中轴线上的探测效率也与基于MCNPX程序的蒙特卡罗模拟计算值相符.研究结果可为活度信息不明的~(252)Cf源强标定及符合测量装置的效率刻度提供便携准确的实验方法.  相似文献

Middle-phase microemulsions exhibit the unique properties of an ultra-low interfacial tension and a bicontinuous structure formed from the water and oil components. New developments exploiting these properties are described. In designing such systems, it is important that the spontaneous transition of the oil droplets from Winsor II through Winsor III to the Winsor I state is brought about by diffusion or chemical reaction. The selection of the hydrophobic and lipophilic surfactants is critical when low-energy emulsification systems for highly polar oils are being developed.  相似文献
