In this paper, an optimal control problem governed by semilinear parabolic equation which involves the control variable acting on forcing term and coefficients appearing in the higher order derivative terms is formulated and analyzed. The strong variation method, due originally to Mayne et al to solve the optimal control problem of a lumped parameter system, is extended to solve an optimal control problem governed by semilinear parabolic equation, a necessary condition is obtained, the strong variation algorithm for this optimal control problem is presented, and the corresponding convergence result of the algorithm is verified. 相似文献

Mathematical parasite-host models are generalized to the case when the population members differ in susceptibility and contagiousness, there is an external source of infection, and the model parameters depend periodically (seasonally) on time. Next, θ-scheme of operator splitting algorithm is applied to rotating Navier-Stokes equations and two subproblems are derived. Two‐level low‐order finite element approximations are considered for the inhomogeneous Stokes equations. The elements introduced are attractive because of their simplicity and computational efficiency. In this paper, the stability of a Q1(h)–Q1(2h) approximation is analysed for general geometries. Using the macroelement technique, we prove the stability condition for both two‐ and three‐dimensional problems. As a result, optimal rates of convergence are found for the velocity and pressure approximations. Numerical results for three test problems are presented. We observe that for the computed examples, the accuracy of the two‐level bilinear approximation is compared favourably with some standard finite elements. The two‐dimensional time‐dependent Navier–Stokes equations in terms of the vorticity and the stream function are solved numerically by using the coupling of the dual reciprocity boundary element method (DRBEM) in space with the differential quadrature method (DQM) in time. In DRBEM application, the convective and the time derivative terms in the vorticity transport equation are considered as the nonhomogeneity in the equation and are approximated by radial basis functions. The solution to the Poisson equation, which links stream function and vorticity with an initial vorticity guess, produces velocity components in turn for the solution to vorticity transport equation. The DRBEM formulation of the vorticity transport equation results in an initial value problem represented by a system of first‐order ordinary differential equations in time. When the DQM discretizes this system in time direction, we obtain a system of linear algebraic equations, which gives the solution vector for vorticity at any required time level. The procedure outlined here is also applied to solve the problem of two‐dimensional natural convection in a cavity by utilizing an iteration among the stream function, the vorticity transport and the energy equations as well. The test problems include two‐dimensional flow in a cavity when a force is present, the lid‐driven cavity and the natural convection in a square cavity. The numerical results are visualized in terms of stream function, vorticity and temperature contours for several values of Reynolds (Re) and Rayleigh (Ra) numbers. The Gauss–Markov theorem provides a golden standard for constructing the best linear unbiased estimation for linear models. The main purpose of this article is to extend the Gauss–Markov theorem to include nonparametric mixed-effects models. The extended Gauss–Markov estimation (or prediction) is shown to be equivalent to a regularization method and its minimaxity is addressed. The resulting Gauss–Markov estimation serves as an oracle to guide the exploration for effective nonlinear estimators adaptively. Various examples are discussed. In the following we study a class of stationary Navier-Stokes equations with shear dependent viscosity, under the non-slip (Dirichlet) boundary condition. We consider pseudo-plastic fluids. A fluid is said pseudo-plastic, or shear thinning, if in Eq. (1.1) below one has p<2. We are interested in global (i.e., up to the boundary) regularity results, in dimension n=3, for the second order derivatives of the velocity and the first order derivatives of the pressure. We consider a cubic domain Ω and impose the non-slip boundary condition only on two opposite faces. On the other faces we assume periodicity, as a device to avoid effective boundary conditions.
