An efficient solution for resolving iTRAQ and TMT channel cross‐talk

Isobaric tagging reagents such as isobaric tag for relative and absolute quantitation (iTRAQ) and tandem mass tag (TMT) typically have isotopic impurities that cause significant cross‐talk between channels. Here, we present an efficient solution to compensate for channel cross‐talk using linear algebra and find that it is between 20× and 120× faster than previous methods. We also find that the effects of channel cross‐talk are as important to manage as the effects of ratio compression because of precursor impurities, and we have released an open‐source tool to perform both types of calculations.     

HPLC method transfer study for simultaneous determination of seven angiotensin II receptor blockers

In this study, a sensitive high‐performance liquid chromatography method was developed and validated for the simultaneous determination of seven angiotensin II receptor blockers, namely, hydrochlorothiazide, chlorthalidone, eprosartan mesylate, valsartan, losartan potassium, irbesartan, and candesartan cilexetil. Different chromatographic parameters were tested and fully optimized. Best chromatographic separation was accomplished on a reversed‐phase octadecylsilyl column (250 × 4.6 mm id; 5 μm) under gradient elution using methanol/sodium phosphate monobasic buffer (0.01 M, pH 6.5) as mobile phase. The detection of target analytes was obtained at 254 nm. The pH of the buffer has been selected according to Marvin^® sketch software. The proposed method was validated according to ICH guidelines and showed good precision (relative standard deviation < 1), good linearity (square of correlation coefficient ≥ 0.999), and high accuracy (between 98 and 102%) with detection limit and quantitation limit (40 and 160 ng/mL, respectively) for all the detected analytes.

特殊工件磨削加工问题研究

对特殊工件的磨削加工过程进行抽象、建模和求解.将砂轮和底座看成刚性坐标系,将工件所在的下台、中台、上台看成可平移旋转的变换坐标系,基于工件母线方程,以砂轮和工件母线相切为紧约束,运用平面坐标变换理论设计加工方案,并对方案进行了误差分析,最后考虑砂轮的实际磨损,分别提出圆柱形和轮式砂轮修整磨削策略.     

Multiscale Approach to the Study of the Electronic Properties of Two Thiophene Curcuminoid Molecules

We studied the electronic and conductance properties of two thiophene–curcuminoid molecules, 2‐thphCCM ( 1 ) and 3‐thphCCM ( 2 ), in which the only structural difference is the position of the sulfur atoms in the thiophene terminal groups. We used electrochemical techniques as well as UV/Vis absorption studies to obtain the values of the HOMO–LUMO band gap energies, showing that molecule 1 has lower values than 2 . Theoretical calculations show the same trend. Self‐assembled monolayers (SAMs) of these molecules were studied by using electrochemistry, showing that the interaction with gold reduces drastically the HOMO–LUMO gap in both molecules to almost the same value. Single‐molecule conductance measurements show that molecule 2 has two different conductance values, whereas molecule 1 exhibits only one. Based on theoretical calculations, we conclude that the lowest conductance value, similar in both molecules, corresponds to a van der Waals interaction between the thiophene ring and the electrodes. The one order of magnitude higher conductance value for molecule 2 corresponds to a coordinate (dative covalent) interaction between the sulfur atoms and the gold electrodes.     

Temporal contrast improvement in chirped pulse amplification systems by a four-grating compressor and by spectral modifications

The quest for higher peak focused intensities and better temporal contrast drives one to improve the design of all possible stages of the chirped pulse amplification (CPA) system. In this paper, we have analyzed the role of dispersion and spectral profile on the temporal shape and contrast ratio of the output pulse of a CPA system. The simulations indicate that an initial sech² or a Gaussian pulse in the CPA system is best for a good contrast ratio. Incorporating a four-grating based pulse compressor in the CPA system improves the contrast as well as provides the flexibility to compensate the dispersion upto the fourth order. The simulations also detail the effect of spectral profile tailoring on the contrast ratio and peak power.     

自由摆的平板控制系统设计

为了实现对基于自由摆的平板的控制,建立了基于自由摆的平板控制系统.首先分析平板的控制转角与自由摆转角的关系,推导出关系式,再对控制单元、反馈单元进行分析比较给出方案,采用32位LPC2138(ARM7)处理器为平板控制系统的中央控制单元,实现由高精度电位器测量出摆动角度后由步进电机控制的平板在周期摆动中做相应反馈调整,然后在现有器件的基础上编制出控制软件,在设备上进行调试,最后对系统的精度进行分析并进行实际测量.测量结果表明激光笔在摆动中照射在靶板上的光斑偏离基准线最大0.89cm,基本满足对平板的控制要求.     

Exact Solutions to Short Pulse Equation

In this paper, dependent and independent variable transformations are introduced to solve the short pulse equation. It is shown that different kinds of solutions can be obtained to the short pulse equation.     

SOA-based loop mirror for tunable pulse-width generation

We propose and experimentally demonstrate a system for the generation of pulses of tunable pulse-width as those required in high spectral efficiency optically routed networks. Pulse narrowing of 500 ps pulses by 90% is accomplished through a SOA based non-linear loop mirror. Optical switching through the SOA loop mirror is used to shape and carve these large pulses (e.g., 500 ps) generated by non-expensive low-frequency optoelectronic components to narrow pulses (e.g., 50 ps). We also calculate the minimum loop size and optimum repetition rate of the original pulse train for the generation of the shorter pulse-width pulse train.     

Near-field-smoothing of periodic chirped pulse with applied angular dispersion

Periodic chirped pulse (PCP) with applied angular dispersion has been approved to be an efficient beam smoothing method in inertial confinement fusion. In this paper, the propagation characteristics of dispersed PCP in near field is analyzed theoretically and calculated numerically, and the results indict dispersed PCP is a motion beam, which can be applied to improve beam uniformity in near field. An experiment is carried out to validate the near-field-intensity smoothing effect of PCP.
