On structure of small contractions of odd dimensional projective varieties

Let X be a smooth projective variety of dimension 2k-1 (k≥3) over the complex number field. Assume that fR: X→Y is a small contraction such that every irreducible component Ei of the exceptional locus of fR is a smooth subvariety of dimension k. It is shown that each Ei is isomorphic to the k-dimensional projective space Pk, the k-dimensional hyperquadric surface Qk in Pk 1, or a linear Pk-1-bundle over a smooth curve.     

Nondispersive two-electron wave packets in driven helium

We provide a detailed quantum treatment of the spectral characteristics and of the dynamics of nondispersive two-electron wave packets along the periodically driven, collinear frozen planet configuration of helium. These highly correlated, long-lived wave packets arise as a quantum manifestation of regular islands in a mixed classical phase space, which are induced by nonlinear resonances between the external driving and the unperturbed dynamics of the frozen-planet configuration. Particular emphasis is given to the dependence of the ionization rates of the wave packet states on the driving field parameters and on the quantum mechanical phase space resolution, preceded by a comparison of 1D and 3D life times of the unperturbed frozen planet. Furthermore, we study the effect of a superimposed static electric field component, which, on the grounds of classical considerations, is expected to stabilize the real 3D dynamics against large (and possibly ionizing) deviations from collinearity. Exponential averaging for traveling wave solutions in rapidly varying periodic media

Reaction diffusion systems on cylindrical domains with terms that vary rapidly and periodically in the unbounded direction can be analyzed by averaging techniques. Here, using iterated normal form transformations and Gevrey regularity of bounded solutions, we prove a result on exponential averaging for such systems, i.e., we show that traveling wave solutions can be described by a spatially homogenous equation and exponentially small remainders. Molecular Orbital Calculations on 2, 4, 6-Trinitrotoluene

Three ab initio calculations (HF/6-3IG, HF/6-3IG*, and HF/6-3IG**) on 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene were made, The results compare well with xray data, except dihedral angles of NO₂ relative to the plane of the benzene ring. The deviations are attributed to packing forces and steric effects in the crystal. The most stable structure was a torsional angle 10° of the methyl top with the benzene ring, unlike toluene. The rotational barriers of the methyl top and the 4-nitro group are small. Hydrogen bonding, dipole moments and total atomic charges arc calculated.     

He-N2 radiofrequency discharge: Influence of N2 on discharge and afterglow

A diagnostic study q (energy transfer processes in a He-N₂ flowing discharge and afterglow has been performed in a radiofrequency-produced plasma cooled in a liquid nitrogen hath. Optical emission spectroscopy in the visible and infrared spectral range as well as Langrnuir probe diagnostics were used. The vibrational kinetics of CO injected in such an afterglow has been examined. It shows a slow cooling of the electrons in the afterglow regime. The electron kinetics responsible joy CO vibrahonal excitation is turned off when N₂ is added to the He discharge, while that for vibrationally excited N₂ molecules is turned on. The results are discussed on the basis of previous theorerical calculations and experiments on the He-N₂ system.     

斜孔气膜冷却数值模拟分析

本文通过数值模拟分析圆柱孔和扩散孔的单斜孔气膜冷却特性,考察复合角、孔型和吹风比对流场和气膜冷却效果的影响。结果表明,复合角的引入使气膜侧向分布更宽,但冷却效果沿主流方向衰减更快。适中吹风比得到的气膜能更有效的保护壁面。在相同吹风比和复合角条件下,扩散孔的气膜冷却效率比圆柱孔更好,且冷却更为均匀持久。

根据几何光学知识分析了激光标线原理.理论和实验表明:激光标线长度与激光光束形状、光学元件形状及材料折射率有关.并讨论了激光标线向两侧扩展的原因.     

Nuclear Excitation by X-Ray Emission of Femtosecond Laser Plasma

The proposed model of laser plasma emission spectrum formation enables us to determine the absolute value of the laser pulse to plasma emitted radiation conversion factor, profile of the emission spectrum, and frequency distribution of the intensity and energy in the emitted spectra. This is of interest for laser plasma diagnostics and provides a means for direct calculation of the number of excited nuclei in dependent on the parameters of laser pulse.
