A colourless quartz crystal doped with 57Fe3+ was obtained by hydrothermal synthesis in an NH4F solution. The crystal was transformed into violet amethyst by gamma-irradiation. The change in colour was accompanied by changes in the Mössbauer spectrum that can be interpreted as the conversion of trivalent iron into the tetravalent state: Fe3+→Fe4+.

At the ISOLDE on-line isotope separation facility, the resonance ionisation laser ion source (RILIS) can be used to ionise reaction products as they effuse from the target. The RILIS process of laser step-wise resonance ionisation of atoms in a hot metal cavity provides a highly element selective stage in the preparation of the radioactive ion beam. As a result, the ISOLDE mass separators can provide beams of a chosen isotope with greatly reduced isobaric contamination. With the addition of a new three-step ionisation scheme for gold, the RILIS is now capable of ionising 26 of the elements. The optimal scheme was determined during an extensive study of the atomic energy levels and auto-ionising states of gold, carried out by means of in-source resonance ionisation spectroscopy. Details of the ionisation scheme and a summary of the spectroscopy study are presented.  相似文献

Spin-lattice relaxation mechanisms in kaolinite have been reinvestigated by magic-angle spinning (MAS) of the sample. MAS is useful to distinguish between relaxation mechanisms: the direct relaxation rate caused by the dipole-dipole interaction with electron spins is not affected by spinning while the spin diffusion-assisted relaxation rate is. Spin diffusion plays a dominant role in 1H relaxation. MAS causes only a slight change in the relaxation behavior, because the dipolar coupling between 1H spins is strong. 29Si relaxes directly through the dipole-dipole interaction with electron spins under spinning conditions higher than 2 kHz. A spin diffusion effect has been clearly observed in the 29Si relaxation of relatively pure samples under static and slow-spinning conditions. 27Al relaxes through three mechanisms: phonon-coupled quadrupole interaction, spin diffusion and dipole-dipole interaction with electron spins. The first mechanism is dominant, while the last is negligibly small. Spin diffusion between 27Al spins is suppressed completely at a spinning rate of 2.5 kHz. We have analyzed the relaxation behavior theoretically and discussed quantitatively. Concentrations of paramagnetic impurities, electron spin-lattice relaxation times and spin diffusion rates have been estimated.  相似文献

Summary A major objective of the DIVERSOMER® technology is to provide pure and characterized compounds for biological testing in order to prevent false negatives in our libraries. On several occasions, analysis of the final products by1H-NMR and MS, has revealed by-products from the polystyrene solid support. Subsequently, three alternative methods were studied to remove polystyrene by-products; (i) prewashing of the resin prior to execution of the synthesis; (ii) pretreatment of the resin with the cleavage conditions consistent with the solid-phase synthesis reaction scheme; and (iii) parallel purification.  相似文献

A single (nonrelativistic, spinless) electron subject to a constant external electric field interacts with impurities located on an infinitely extended lattice by a potential of random strength. The random strength is given by a field of Gaussian random variables. Abstract

Possibilities of using a new generation of sorbents have been investigated. Polymers of spatial-globular (spherulitic) structure (RGS polymers) have been tested to separate Cs, Sr and rare earth elements – which can also be radioactive contaminants – from different waters.

RGS polymers are both, solids and highly-disperse systems being extremely permeable to fluids and gases with low pressure decline. They were currently used to clean industrial waste-water.

It is shown that these polymers can be used successfully to separate radionuclides. Polymers RGS-81 and RGS-112 have high distribution coefficients for CS, Sr, Sc, the lanthanide series and Hf in weakly acid solutions. In HF solutions, Sc and Hf can be separated from Cs, Sr and the lanthanides.  相似文献

In der Arbeit wird über eine Empfehlung zur Methodik der Weitergabe der Aktivitätseinheit für umschlossene γ-Strahlungsquellen von den Normalen der metrologischen Slaatsämter der UdSSR (WNIIM) und der DDR (ASMW) an Normale niederer Ordnung berichtet. Die Weitergabe der Aktivitätseinheit geschieht durch Vergleich mittels Ionisationskammern. Die Empfehlung bezieht sich auch auf solche Fälle, in denen neben dem Hauptnuklid ein Verunreinigungsnuklid in der Quelle enthalten ist, sowie auf solche, bei denen unterschiedlicher Aufbau der zu vergleichenden Quellen vorliegt. Auβerdem umfaβt die Empfehlung die Methode der Fehlerrechnung.  相似文献

Es wird über eine Methode und deren optimale Bedingungen berichtet, die eine schnelle, schonende und fernbediente Markierung von Humanserumalbumin mit 131 J gestattet. Die Markierungsausbeuten, bezogen auf das eingesetzte Jod, sind gut reproduzierbar und liegen bei über 90%.  相似文献
