Monte‐Carlo simulation of spatial distribution of characteristic x‐rays in multi‐film targets: source size of Al Kα x‐rays in W/Al film targets

A Monte‐Carlo simulation approach has been applied to describe the spatial distribution of characteristic x‐rays in W/Al film targets of different combinations of film thicknesses for the optimal design of a small‐sized x‐ray source having a high x‐ray intensity. The result has led to optimal combinations of W and Al film targets for 100 kV electrons, e.g. W(1 µm)/Al(20 µm), W(3 µm)/Al(15 µm) and W(5 µm)/Al(8 µm). Determination of the diastereomers of vitamin K1

A method is described for the gas-chromatographic determination of the diastereomers of vitamin K₁ (phylloquinone) in the form of their dihydro dimethyl ethers. The reported method of derivatization and chromatographic analysis in conjunction with optical rotation measurements are useful approaches for characterization of vitamin K₁ samples with respect to their origin.     

EFFECTS OF SOURCE PROPERTIES ON CUTOFF FREQUENCY f_(max)

The cutoff frequency f_(max) of radiation from earthquakes is one of the important parameters for studying the source process. By theoretical analysis and numerical experiments on acceleration Fourier spectrum it is suggested that f_(max) mainly depends on the lower values of slip rise time. This result can be used to explain the observational fact that the greater the earthquake magnitude, the smaller the value of f_(max).     

The regioselectivity of the formation of 2-pyrazolylthiazoles and their precursors from the reaction of 2-hydrazinothiazoles with 4,4,4-trifluoro-1-hetaryl-1,3-butanediones

Reaction of 2-hydrazinothiazoles 1 with 1-thienyl- and 1-furyl-1,3-butanediones 2a,b in methanol in the presence of hydrochloric acid mainly leads to a mixture of pyrazoles 3 and pyrazolines 4 or pyrazoles 3 and 5 in strong acidic conditions. Isomeric hydrazones 6 and pyrazolines 4 were formed and isolated in these reactions in the absence of hydrochloric acid. It has been shown that the regioselectivity in the reaction of diketones 2 with hydrazine 1 is governed by both the concentration of acid and the nature of substituents in the 1,3-diketones 2. Cyclization of hydrazones 6 is shown to occur under milder conditions than dehydration for pyrazolines 4. The new heterocyclic compounds were prepared and fully characterized by NMR spectra and by X-ray analysis for 3c.     

Ab initio quasirelativistic calculations on electronic transitions in ICl by the multireference many‐body perturbation theory

A quasirelativistic perturbative method of ab initio calculations on ground and excited molecular electronic states and transition properties within the relativistic effective core potential approximation is presented and discussed. The method is based on the construction of a state‐selective many‐electron effective Hamiltonian in the model space spanned by an appropriate set of Slater determinants by means of the second‐order many‐body multireference perturbation theory. The neglect of effective spin–orbit interactions outside of the model space allows the exploitation of relatively high nonrelativistic symmetry during the evaluation of perturbative corrections and therefore dramatic reduction of the cost of computations without any contraction of the model‐space functions. One‐electron transition properties are evaluated via the perturbative construction of spin‐free transition density matrices. Illustrative calculations on the X0⁺ ? 2-乙基己基磷酸单(2-乙基己基)酯萃淋树脂分离-火花源质谱法测定高纯氧化镱中痕量稀土杂质

本文采用萃取色谱法以2-乙基已基膦酸单(2-乙基已基)酯(P_507)萃淋树脂为固定相,以HCI-NH_4CI体系为淋洗液,研究了99.999%~99.9999%的高纯Yb_2O_3中稀土杂质和Yb基体的分离条件,将杂质淋洗液富集于复合螯合剂-活性碳上,经灼烧灰化后制成样品电极,进行质谱测定.测定下限达 0.01~0.05 μg/g,可用于高纯 Yb_2O_3中杂质的测定.回收率在80%以上.     

SPORES AND POLLEN IN CRUDE OILS AND PETROLEUM SOURCE OF TARIM BASIN

One hundred and forty-seven species of spores and pollen referred to 77 genera found in the crudeoil samples taken from four petroliferous provinces of the Tarim Basin of Xinjiang Provincehave been studied in this paper. By means of these spore and pollen fossils, the geological ages anddistribution of the petroleum source rocks of the basin are judged. Also, the principles and methodsto judge the petroleum source of a petroleum province by spore/pollen and other microfossils in crudeoils are explained.     

HGZ－Ⅱ型自动辉光放电光源的研制

在仔细研辉光放电光源工作过程的基础上，在国内首先设计、制成了ＨＧＺ－Ⅱ型自动辉光放电光源。该光源除换样品外，实现了抽空、进气、对光、预燃、曝光、充气、复位等摄谱全过程的自动控制。有水压、真空度、短路保护措施和醒铃线路。设计合理，性能良好，操作简便，工作安全，可靠。程控部分的编排包括顺序控制。时序控制和条件控制。由于使用了通用执行元、器件，降低了成本，提高了耐用性。为满足表层，逐层分析的需要，还专门设计了计数电路。供电源实现了高压直流供电和脉冲供电。该光源可应用于合金中主成分和少量杂质分析及金属、合金表层，逐层成分分析。     

Fundamental and applied investigations in plasma-source mass spectrometry for elemental analysis

The current status of plasma source-mass spectrometry (PS-MS) is reviewed. An overview of interference effects that exist, alternative plasma sources available, and mass spectrometer interface studies is provided. A discussion of current and future development areas in plasma source mass spectrometry is also included.
