We modify a uniform model of single bubble sonoluminescence, in which heat diffusion, water vapor diffusion and chemical reactions
are included to describe the bubble dynamics, and the processes of electron-atom bremsstrahlung, electron-ion bremsstrahlung
and recombination radiation, radiative attachment of electrons to atoms and molecules, line emissions of OH radicals and Na
atoms are taken into account to calculate the light emission. With this model, we compute the light pulse width, the photon
number per flash, the continuum and line spectra and the gas species as the products of chemical reactions, and try to compare
with all the experimental data available. We obtain good agreement with the observations of Ar and Xe bubbles in many cases,
but fail to match the experimental data of the photon number per flash. We also find that for He bubble the computed photon
number is always too small to interpret the observations.

Clouds alter general circulation through modification of the radiative heating profile within the atmosphere. Their effects are complex and depend on height, vertical structure, and phase. The instantaneous cloud radiative effect (CRE) induced by multi-layered (ML) and single-layer (SL) clouds is estimated by analyzing data collected by the Cloud-Aerosol Lidar and Infrared Pathfinder Satellite Observation (CALIPSO), CloudSat, and Clouds and Earth’s Radiation Energy Budget System (CERES) missions from March 2007 through February 2008. The CRE differences between ML and SL clouds at the top of the atmosphere (TOA) and at the surface were also examined. The zonal mean shortwave (SW) CRE differences between the ML and SL clouds at the TOA and surface were positive at most latitudes, peaking at 120 W m−2 in the tropics and dropping to −30 W m−2 at higher latitudes. This indicated that the ML clouds usually reflected less sunlight at the TOA and transmitted more to the surface than the SL clouds, due to their higher cloud top heights. The zonal mean longwave (LW) CRE differences between ML and SL clouds at the TOA and surface were relatively small, ranging from −30 to 30 W m−2. This showed that the ML clouds only increased the amount of thermal radiation at the TOA relative to the SL clouds in the tropics, decreasing it elsewhere. In other words, ML clouds tended to cool the atmosphere in the tropics and warm it elsewhere when compared to SL clouds. The problem of optimal heat removal from a three-dimensional domain is considered. The specific of the study consist in accounting for the radiative heat transfer. The so-called P1 approximation of the radiative heat transfer equation is used, which reduces the model to a nonlinear elliptic system. A problem of optimal boundary control of this system is considered. The solvability of the control problem is proved, and necessary optimality conditions of first order are derived. The stability and accuracy of radiation type non‐reflective outflow boundary conditions, as well as the standard Neumann boundary condition with zero normal derivative, have been compared for the numerical simulation of a turbulent axisymmetric plume with Reynolds number of 7700 and Prandtl number of 0.71. Comparison of the performance of the boundary conditions with respect to each other, and to the results obtained for an extended domain, shows that a one‐dimensional scheme in which advection and diffusion terms are included in the radiation equation is the optimum approach for the plume simulation. A fast method is presented for gaining 3D actinic flux density fields, Fact, in clouds employing the Independent Pixel Approximation (IPA) with a parameterized horizontal photon transport to imitate radiative smoothing effects. For 3D clouds the IPA is an efficient method to simulate radiative transfer, but it suffers from the neglect of horizontal photon fluxes leading to significant errors (up to locally 30% in the present study). Consequently, the resulting actinic flux density fields exhibit an unrealistically rough and rugged structure. In this study, the radiative smoothing is approximated by applying a physically based smoothing algorithm to the calculated IPA actinic flux field. 相似文献

We calculate energy levels, dipole moments and radiative broadening of interface fluctuation quantum dots. For optically allowed
states, the dipole moment grows proportionally to the lateral quantum dot radius while the radiative broadening saturates
towards the quantum well radiative broadening for large lateral quantum dot radii. This is accompanied by a change in the
angular emission pattern, concentrating emission in forward and backward direction. Optically forbidden states do not couple
to light propagating in the growth direction yet they may have a considerable radiative broadening due to spontaneous emission
in other directions.

transitions in n-germanium irradiated by fast (epicadmium) reactor neutrons and subjected to “complete” annealing (+450°C,
24 h). It is shown that lines of interdopant radiative recombination observed in initial and in irradiated and annealed specimens
are caused by both initial impurities and (mainly) dopants (As and Ga) implanted by transmutation as well as by defect sets
stable at long-time high-temperature annealing that do not contain fine dopants.
