The formalism introduced by Cornwall, Jackiw and Tomboulis (CJT) provides a systematic approach to consistently resumming non-perturbative effects in Quantum Thermal Field Theory. One major limitation of the CJT effective action is that its loopwise expansion introduces residual violations of possible global symmetries, thus giving rise to massive Goldstone bosons in the spontaneously broken phase of the theory. In this paper we develop a novel symmetry-improved CJT formalism for consistently encoding global symmetries in a loopwise expansion. In our formalism, the extremal solutions of the fields and propagators to a loopwise truncated CJT effective action are subject to additional constraints given by the Ward Identities due to global symmetries. By considering a simple O(2)O(2) scalar model, we show that, unlike other methods, our approach satisfies a number of important field-theoretic properties. In particular, we find that the Goldstone boson resulting from spontaneous symmetry breaking of O(2)O(2) is massless and the phase transition is a second-order one, already in the Hartree–Fock approximation. After taking the sunset diagrams into account, we show how our approach properly describes the threshold properties of the massless Goldstone boson and the Higgs particle in the loops. Finally, assuming minimal modifications to the Hartree–Fock approximated CJT effective action, we calculate the corresponding symmetry-improved CJT effective potential and discuss the conditions for its uniqueness for scalar-field values away from its minimum.  相似文献

We report on new attempt to investigate baryon-baryon interactions in lattice QCD.From the Bethe-Salpeter (BS) wave function,we have successfully extracted the nucleon-nucleon (NN) potentials in quenched QCD simulations,which reproduce qualitative features of modern NN potentials.The method has been extended to obtain the tensor potential as well as the central potential and also applied to the hyperonnucleon (YN) interactions,in both quenched and full QCD.  相似文献

使用经验势和遗传算法 (GeneticAlgorithm) ,得到了Nin(n =2~ 2 0 )团簇的平衡结构和束缚能。对于小的团簇 (Ni2 ~Ni6) ,所得到的结果与基于第一性原理密度泛函的计算相一致。结果表明 ,团簇的结构不同于块体且随尺度发生引人注日的变化。每原子平均束缚能Eb 随尺度单调增长。根据过渡金属团簇表面原子配位数与电离势 (IP)的一个解析表达式计算所得的电离势与实验结果基本一致。由基态能量对分裂途径(FragmentationChannels)的分析表明 ,失去二聚体 (Dimer)在能量上是优先的。同时将计算所得的结构与Nin团簇吸收N2 的实验所推得的结构进行了比较  相似文献

A relativistic model of independent quarks based on Dirac equation with an equally mixed scalar-vector square root confining potential is used to compute the quark core contributions to the static properties like magnetic moments, charge radii and axial vector coupling constant ratios of the baryon octet. The results obtained with appropriate corrections due to centre-of-mass motion agree fairly well with experimental values. The model is also extended to the study of magnetic moments of the quark core of baryons in the charmed andb-flavoured sectors and the overall predictions so obtained compare well with other model predictions.  相似文献

We discuss the arising of bound states solutions of the Schrödinger equation due to the presence of a Coulomb-type potential induced by the interaction between a moving electric quadrupole moment and a magnetic field. Furthermore, we study the influence of the Coulomb-type potential on the harmonic oscillator by showing a quantum effect characterized by the dependence of the angular frequency on the quantum numbers of the system, whose meaning is that not all values of the angular frequency are allowed.  相似文献

In the presence of spin and pseudospin (p-spin) symmetries, the approximate analytical bound states of the Dirac equation for scalar-vector-tensor Hulth6n potentials are obtained with any arbitrary spin-orbit coupling number using the Pekeris approximation. The Hulth6n tensor interaction is studied instead of the commonly used Coulomb or linear terms. The generalized parametric Nikiforov-Uvarov (NU) method is used to obtain energy eigenvalues and corresponding wave functions in their closed forms. It is shown that tensor interaction removes degeneracy between spin and p-spin doublets. Some numerical results are also given.  相似文献

We investigate the exact solutions of one-dimensional (1D) time-independent Gross-Pitaevskii equation (GPE), which governs a Bose-Einstein condensate (BEC) in the magnetic waveguide with a square-Sech potential. Both the bound state and transmission state are found and the corresponding spatial configurations and transport properties of BEC are analyzed. We use Monte Carlo simulation to calculate the distributions of particles under adsorption force near planar and cylindrical surfaces,respectively.Both hard sphere interaction and repulsive Yukawa (screened coulomb) interaction are employed in our simulations.We study the influence of the inter-particle potentials.The difference between the MC simulation results and the analytical results of ideal gas model shows that the interaction between particles plays an important role in the density distribution under external fields.Moreover,the 2-dimensional constructions of particles close to the surface are studied and show relations of the interaction between particles.These results may indicate us how to improve the methods of building nanoparticle coatings and nano-scale patterns.  相似文献
