激光水下偏振特性用于目标图像探测

利用激光水下偏振特性获得偏振差分图像(PDI),并运用PDI技术,从理论和实验上对水下目标探测进行了研究.介绍了PDI基本概念和实验系统原理,然后比较分析了不同条件下普通图像与PDI在辨别目标距离及其纹理上的差别和PDI中背景偏振光的影响,得出利用目标和背景偏振光的差异区分二者,从而提高探测距离的结论,并取得了较好的效果.在此基础上提出了通过处理有关PDI偏振参量来进一步辨别目标与背景的设想.     

Polarization Sensitive Spectral Interferometric Optical Coherence Tomography for Biological Samples

A spectral interferometric optical coherence tomography (OCT) system which has polarization sensitivity is developed. This system reduces the mechanical scanning dimension by employing the principle of spectral interferometry, and measures a two dimensional cross-sectional image of biological tissue with one dimensional mechanical scanning. Sixteen OCT images with different polarization conditions are measured, and two dimensional distributions of each element of the Müller matrix of a sample to be measured are calculated.     

Holographic image subtraction using a polarization technique

A holographic image subtraction technique is proposed. The vector nature of light is utilized in introducing a phase difference of π between the two reconstructed object waves. The experimental results are also presented.     

双折射双频激光器偏振特性的分析

用激光原理和晶体光学原理分析了腔内加旋光晶体的激光器输出光的偏振特性，实验和分析表明，激光器输出两束不同频率的垂直线偏振光，激光器两端输出光的偏振面有一夹角ａ，且此夹角与晶轴和传光方向的夹角θ有关。理论计算结果在双折射双频激光器的实验结果符合很好。     

Method of polarization reflection matrix measurement in the submillimeter wave range

Homodyne method of measurement of polarization reflection matrix, providing the possibility of simultaneous measurement of all four complex coefficients of polarization reflection matrix in submillimeter quasi-optical (QO) circuits is presented. Technical realizability of the method for QO waveguides of the class of "hollow dielectric wavequide" is shown.     

Theoretical approach and the practice to the evaluation of structural parameters characterizing concentration polarization alongside ion-exchange membranes by means of dielectric measurement

As the application of a dielectric theory proposed previously (J Membrane Sci 64:153–161 (1991)), theoretical formulation and the practical procedure of dielectric analysis are developed to calculate the structural parameters such as the conductivity gradient and the thickness of the concentration polarization layer, the capacitances and the conductances of the two adjoining aqueous phases from the observed dielectric parameters. The procedure of calculation consequent upon the theoretical formulation was applied to double relaxation data observed for cation-exchange membrane systems under application of d.c. bias voltage. As a consequence, the structural parameters of concentration polarization were readily obtained with accuracy.     

Polarization of coherent synchrotron radiation from an electron beam rotating in a plasma

After eliminating reflections from the walls of the plasma container, we observed polarization of the coherent synchrotron radiation from a relativistic electron beam rotating in a plasma. Several features of the polarization agree well with calculations based on the single particle synchrotron radiation theory. A particular polarization ratio (Fig. 3) does not, however. We deduce from this direct diffraction of the radiation by the beam electrons. This is strong evidence for beam-particle bunches of size cm. Also, there must be some absorption of the extraordinary wave to account for the observations. We suggest a way to apply these results to measure the pitch angle of the beam.Work supported by Army Research Office.

利用量子几何相位制作光纤偏振旋转器

利用光纤中的量子几何相位(又称Berry相位),制作了单模光纤的线偏振光偏振面旋转器,并对器件进行了测量.实验数据表明,这种光纤偏振旋转器对光偏振面的旋转基本符合理论预计.对偏差进行处理后得到修正的定标公式,可更精确地反映出此光纤偏振旋转器的特性.
