On a bifurcation governed by hysteresis nonlinearity

We consider autonomous systems with a nonlinear part depending on a parameter and study Hopf bifurcations at infinity. The nonlinear part consists of the nonlinear functional term and the Prandtl--Ishlinskii hysteresis term. The linear part of the system has a special form such that the close-loop system can be considered as a hysteresis perturbation of a quasilinear Hamiltonian system. The Hamiltonian system has a continuum of arbitrarily large cycles for each value of the parameter. We present sufficient conditions for the existence of bifurcation points for the non-Hamiltonian system with hysteresis. These bifurcation points are determined by simple characteristics of the hysteresis nonlinearity.     

5D Dirac Equation in Induced-Matter Theory

According to an induced-matter approach, Liu and Wesson obtained the rest mass of a typical particle from the reduction of a 5D Klein–Gordon equation to a 4D one. Introducing an extra-dimension momentum operator identified with the rest mass eigenvalue operator, we consider a way to generalize the 4D Dirac equation to 5D. An analogous normal Dirac equation is gained when the generalization reduces to 4D. We find the rest mass of a particle in curved space varies with spacetime coordinates and check this for the case of exact solitonic and cosmological solution of the 5D vacuum gravitational field equations.     

A stability of the steady flow of compressible viscous fluid with respect to initial disturbance (v∞ ≠ 0)

We consider a compressible viscous fluid with the velocity at infinity equal to a strictly non‐zero constant vector in ?³. Under the assumptions on the smallness of the external force and velocity at infinity, Novotny–Padula (Math. Ann. 1997; 308 :439– 489) proved the existence and uniqueness of steady flow in the class of functions possessing some pointwise decay. In this paper, we study stability of the steady flow with respect to the initial disturbance. We proved that if H³‐norm of the initial disturbance is small enough, then the solution to the non‐stationary problem exists uniquely and globally in time, which satisfies a uniform estimate on prescribed velocity at infinity and converges to the steady flow in L_q‐norm for any number q? 2. 飞秒孤子传输演化的数值研究

利用分步傅里叶法数值模拟了飞秒孤子在光纤中的传输演化过程。对光纤中单个孤子的传输及二阶孤子的自陡峭效应和自频移效应进行了分析,指出在一定的参数取值范围内,自频移效应对二阶fs孤子传输的影响要比自陡峭效应大,占主导地位,且对自陡峭效应有一定的抑制作用。

利用简谐振动能量方程，通过分析振幅矢量的关系，用能量法求多自由度振动系统的角频率或简正振动频率。

本文对任意正整数n界定了矩阵方程X A*X-nA=I的正定解的特征值的范围,给出了它的极大正定解一个充分条件.     

Discretization of the solutions to Poisson’s equation

Sharp estimates (in the power scale) are obtained for the discretization error in the solutions to Poisson’s equation whose right-hand side belongs to a Korobov class. Compared to the well-known Korobov estimate, the order is almost doubled and has an ultimate value in the power scale.     

Parametric oscillation at 2.1 μm in periodically poled RbTiOAsO4

An Nd:YAG laser-pumped periodically poled RbTiOAsO₄ (PPRTA) optical parametric oscillator (OPO) near degeneracy is reported. At a pump power of 3.7 W, a net conversion efficiency of 43% was obtained. These crystals were found to be phase-matchable for the higher order quasi-phase-matched second-harmonic generation (SHG) in the visible range. Detailed analyses of the phase-matching properties for these processes were made by using the published Sellmeier and thermo-optic dispersion formulas.     

The Linear Fokker-Planck Equation for the Ornstein-Uhlenbeck Process as an (Almost) Nonlinear Kinetic Equation for an Isolated N-Particle System

It is long known that the Fokker-Planck equation with prescribed constant coefficients of diffusion and linear friction describes the ensemble average of the stochastic evolutions in velocity space of a Brownian test particle immersed in a heat bath of fixed temperature. Apparently, it is not so well known that the same partial differential equation, but now with constant coefficients which are functionals of the solution itself rather than being prescribed, describes the kinetic evolution (in the N→∞ limit) of an isolated N-particle system with certain stochastic interactions. 有限时滞微分系统依照双测度的实际稳定性

本文对具有有限时滞的泛函微分方程建立了关于依照两种测度的实际稳定性的Razumikhin型判定定理，其中未采用通常的辅助函数，且可运用多个含有状态变量x的部分变元的Lyapunov函数，得出部分变远实际稳定性的判定定理，从而改进了已有的结果。
