In the past decades, the naphthalimide structure has found application in many areas of chemistry due to its unique photophysical properties. Naphthalimide has two isomers, 1,8‐naphthalimide containing a six‐membered imide ring and 2,3‐naphthalimide containing a five‐membered imide ring. The former has been widely investigated while studies on the latter are considerably more rare. On the other hand, naphthalimide can also be regarded as a building block to construct polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), which have found wide applications in optical materials. Here we report the synthesis and optoelectronic properties of three 2,3‐naphthalimide‐based triptycenes. These three triptycene derivatives enrich the family of triptycenes. 相似文献

Bithiophene monomers ( 5HBTh and 5HBThO ) were prepared by the Suzuki coupling reaction of 3‐thienylboronic acid with 2‐bromo‐5‐hexylthiophene and 2‐bromo‐5‐hexylthiophene‐1,1‐dioxide. The oxidation polymerization mediated by vanadium catalyst gave poly(5HBTh) and oligo(5HBThO) . 5HBThO bearing thiophene‐1,1‐dioxide had an absorption maximum at longer wavelength region than 5HBTh due to the intramolecular charge transfer interaction, while peak maxima blue shifted and their difference became small after the polymerization. Terthiophene monomers ( 5″HTTh , 3,5″DHTTh , and 4,5″DHTTh ) were subsequently prepared by the mono‐bromination of 5HBTh followed by the Suzuki coupling reaction with boronic acid derivatives. The vanadium‐catalyzed oxidation polymerization of 5″HTTh and 4,5″DHTTh afforded soluble polymers and the absorption maximum wavelengths red shifted after the polymerization in contrast to bithiophene monomers and 3,5″DHTTh . The absorption and emission spectra of poly(5″DHTTh) red shifted when compared with those of poly(4,5″DHTTh) . Thus the presence and position of n‐hexyl chain influenced the monomer polymerizability and optoelectronic properties of branched polythiophenes. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A series of novel organic conjugated molecules (5a--5d) comprising 2,3-benzopyridiazine as electron-with- drawing core and thiophene derivatives as electron-donating arms have been synthesized successfully in good yields. The ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) absorption spectra and fluorescence spectra of 5a--5d revealed that the optical properties are strongly influenced by the interactions between nitrogen and sulfur atoms in the conjugated backbone, as well as the position of the alkyl chains in the thiophene rings. The experimental results and theoretical calculation data clearly indicated that the band gap and the energy levels of LUMO and HOMO could be fine-tuned by the po- sition of alkyl chains in the thiophene rings. Thus, the structure-property correlation of this class of conjugated molecules can be well established. 相似文献

A novel conjugated block copolymer system containing a donor‐type conjugated block (c‐D) covalently connected to an acceptor type conjugated block (c‐A) via a nonconjugated and flexible bridge chain (nc‐B), also called a DBA type block copolymer, has been designed, synthesized, and characterized for potential cost‐effective and high‐efficiency optoelectronic applications such as solar cells. Specifically, D is a regio‐regular para‐2‐ethylhexyloxy‐substituted polyphenylenevinylene (or EH‐RO‐PPV), A is a regio‐regular polyphenylenevinylene with sulfone (SO2) acceptor moiety and a linear oxydecane (‐OC10H21) group substituted on every phenylene unit, and B contains an aliphatic chain with two or four methylene units. The size of each block can be controlled via synthetic feed ratio of the monomer and the terminator. The measured average molecular weights of D, A, and DBA based on gel permission chromatography are in good agreements with the molecular weights calculated using the monomer:terminator synthetic feed ratios. Preliminary optoelectronic device studies revealed an order of magnitude better improvement in photoelectric power conversion efficiency of DBA over the corresponding D/A blend under identical fabrication and testing conditions. Such improvements could be attributed to more efficient photo induced charge separation and charge transport in DBA versus in D/A blends. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Polym. Sci., Part A: Polym.
