Convergence Analysis of a Class of Nonlinear Penalization Methods for Constrained Optimization via First-Order Necessary Optimality Conditions

We propose a scheme to solve constrained optimization problems by combining a nonlinear penalty method and a descent method. A sequence of nonlinear penalty optimization problems is solved to generate a sequence of stationary points, i.e., each point satisfies a first-order necessary optimality condition of a nonlinear penalty problem. Under some conditions, we show that any limit point of the sequence satisfies the first-order necessary condition of the original constrained optimization problem.     

Optimality conditions and duality for a class of nondifferentiable multi-objective fractional programming problems

A class of multi-objective fractional programming problems (MFP) are considered where the involved functions are locally Lipschitz. In order to deduce our main results, we give the definition of the generalized (F,θ,ρ,d)-convex class about the Clarke’s generalized gradient. Under the above generalized convexity assumption, necessary and sufficient conditions for optimality are given. Finally, a dual problem corresponding to (MFP) is formulated, appropriate dual theorems are proved.      

A quasilinearization method for elliptic problems with a nonlinear boundary condition

We study a nonlinear elliptic second order problem with a nonlinear boundary condition. Assuming the existence of an ordered couple of a supersolution and a subsolution, we develop a quasilinearization method in order to construct an iterative scheme that converges to a solution. Furthermore, under an extra assumption we prove that the convergence is quadratic.     

Optimal Control Problems for a Class of Semilinear Multisolution Elliptic Equations

We study the optimal control problem for a class of elliptic problems that may possess multiple solutions. We obtain necessary conditions for optimal control by constructing a related parabolic problem and using known results for the parabolic problem.     

Validation of a Structural Optimization Algorithm Transforming Dynamic Loads into Equivalent Static Loads

Generally, structural optimization is carried out based on external static loads. However, all forces have dynamic characteristics in the real world. Mathematical optimization with dynamic loads is almost impossible in a large-scale problem. Therefore, in engineering practice, dynamic loads are often transformed into static loads via dynamic factors, design codes, and so on. Recently, a systematic transformation of dynamic loads into equivalent static loads has been proposed in Refs. 1–3. Equivalent static loads are made to generate at each time step the same displacement field as the one generated by the dynamic loads. In this research, it is verified that the solution obtained via the algorithm of Refs. 1–3 satisfies the Karush–Kuhn–Tucker necessary conditions. Application of the algorithm is discussed.

本文对某空冷汽轮机马刀叶片性能进行了不同工况三维数值分析。计算表明,所计算的低压缸马刀型在设计工况条件下,流动状况良好。在非设计工况,即小流量工况条件下,除第一级静叶以外,其余叶片排都存在大负攻角流动。     

Technical Stability of Nonstationary Automatic-Control Systems with Variable Structure

Sufficient conditions of technical stability in measure are established for nonstationary automatic-control systems with variable structure and logic control laws dependent on the mismatch error and its derivatives of finite order for all admissible initial perturbations from a predefined measurable set of initial perturbations. The associated systems of differential equations contain time-dependent coefficients. The logic control laws are described by a variable jump control function of the mismatch coordinate and its derivatives of finite order that is no higher than that of the initial system of equations. Using a signal and its derivatives for control increases the quality of discontinuous control. The relationship between the eigenvalues of the quadratic forms of the corresponding Liapunov functions and the criteria of technical stability is revealed. The general results are applied to a variable-structure system of the third order     

Microwave-assisted ruthenium-catalyzed olefin metathesis under solvent-free conditions

An efficient method for ring-closing metathesis under solvent-free conditions and by microwave activation was established. Non-thermal microwave specific effects were evident.
