We first give an example to illustrate that the results in [12] concerning the boundedness of solutions of nonlinear oscillatory equations are not true. And then we obtain sufficient or necessary conditions for the boundedness of solutions of the nonlinear system of differential equations

Multifractal analysis of Brownian zero set

We present a method for the derivation of the generating function and computation of critical exponents for several cluster models (staircase, bar-graph, and directed column-convex polygons, as well as partially directed self-avoiding walks), starting with nonlinear functional equations for the generating function. By linearizing these equations, we first give a derivation of the generating functions. The nonlinear equations are further used to compute the thermodynamic critical exponents via a formal perturbation ansatz. Alternatively, taking the continuum limit leads to nonlinear differential equations, from which one can extract the scaling function. We find that all the above models are in the same universality class with exponents _u =-1/2, _i =-1/3, and =2/3. All models have as their scaling function the logarithmic derivative of the Airy function.

The advantage of our method is its straightforwardness and effectiveness, which is suitable for the above equation, where g(u) need not be restricted to an odd function of u, provided that the reduced equation, corresponding to =0, has a periodic solution. A specific example is presented to demonstrate the validity and accuracy of our 09 method by comparing our results with numerical ones, which are in good agreement with each other even for relatively large .     

Analysis and simulation on the performance of a gyro-penitron amplifier

A cylindrical waveguide gyro-peniotron amplifier is analysed theoretically in this paper. By a ballistic method and directly using the energy conservation in the beam-wave system, a set of interaction equations for the cylindrical waveguide gyro-peniotron amplifier is derived. Computer simulation shows that under defined conditions an interaction efficiency of 47%, an output power of 240kW at a gain of 22. 5 dB and a 3 dB-instantaneous bandwidth of 1. 9% for a central frequency of 35GHz, TE₀₃ mode gyro-peniotron amplifier could be achieved. The influence of the operation parameters on the amplifier performance is also presented.     

A class of nonlinear relativistic partial differential equations in elementary particle theory

In mathematical approaches to elementary particle theory, the equation [² - ²/t²]=m² ;+g ³ has been of interest [1,2]; it describes a quartically self-coupled neutral scalar meson field. This paper applies the decomposition method [3-6] to obtain accurate non-perturbative timedevelopment of the field for this equation, or variations involving other nonlinear interactions, without the use of cutoff functions or truncations.     

O(N) vector model with twisted boundary conditions

Prompted by a recent article of Chakravarty, we reexamine theO(N) vector model with twisted boundary conditions ind dimensions in the various frameworks of the =d–2 expansion, the =4–d expansion, and the large-N expansion. These continuum models describe the physics below the critical temperatureT _c and nearT _c of a latticeO(N) spin model. Theory of electron tunneling through a bridge molecule with two electronic levels at low temperatures

A theory of electron tunneling through a single-center bridge redox group that has two electronic levels participating in the electron transfer process is presented. The temperature is presumed to be low enough to ignore activation redox conversions of the bridge group. Salient features of this system are due both to the presence of two electroactive states of the bridge group and to relaxation processes along the reaction coordinate. The processes in question make the tunneling current time-dependent at fixed potentials and can bring about hysteresis in current-voltage curves when cycling the bias potential. Effects of inelastic tunneling with excitation of vibrations of a local quantum degree of freedom are considered.     

Preparation of a novel self-assembling nonlinear optical (NLO) polymer film

A novel self-assembling crosslinking second harmonic generation nonlinear optical (SHG/NLO) film with high SHG coefficient (2×10-7 e.s,u.by IR dichroism) was prepared by morecular design and "in-situ poling and sol-gel process".The content of the NLO chromophore (S)-(-)-1-(4)-mtrophenyl-2-pyrrolidinemethanol (NPP) is as high as 50 mol% since NPP molecules probably disperse in the film at a molecular level The film is rigid,uni form and transparent.This designed clathrate supermolecular structure was poved by IR,atomic force microseopv (AFM) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) detection.The title film exhibits a long-term temporal stability with 95% of the initial value of SHG coefficient maintained even after 20 d at 65℃(by UV spectroscopy)
