Abstract Manual twenty-four hour colorimetric procedures for the determination of atmospheric NO2 are described. The methods are based on collecting NO2 by bubbling ambient air for twenty-four hours through reagents that form stable nitrite solutions. The difference in time-resolved fluorescence spectrum between the cortical sarcoma and the adjacent normal tissue was studied
in both experimental and theoretical ways. The Clinical data were obtained in vivo using a time-resolved fluorescence spectrometer employing a single fiber-optic probe for excitation and detection. Tissue
was modeled as s-180 sarcoma tumor surrounded with normal muscle and was mediated by the Palladium-porphyrin photosensitizer
(Pd-TCPP). The emitted fluorescence was considered as arising from the tumor tissue or the normal muscle, due to the presence
of the photosensitizer. A computational code which could simulating time-resolved fluorescence emission was presented and
applied to comparing fluorescence decay of photosensitizer in different stages of tumor growth. In this code the different
stages of the tumor was modeled through changing the time τ, the delay of the fluorescence photon emission and z
max, the thickness of the tumor. It was found in the in vivo experiment that the fluorescence from tumor tissue decayed more quickly than from the adjacent normal muscle. For the ten
rats in the first experiment day, the mean decay constant of tumor T
s and normal tissue T
n were 554 and 526 μs, respectively. And T
s increased with the tumor growth, from 554 μs in the first day to 634 μs in the eighth day while T
s kept steady. It was believed that the more adequate oxygen supplied by the normal tissue can more effectively quench the
fluorescence and in the normal tissue the photosensitizer lifetime is smaller. As a result the simulated time-resolved fluorescence
spectrum of normal tissue showed more quickly decay. And the thickness of the tumor can also delay the fluorescence decay.
Both the experimental and simulated results indicated that the germination of the tumor would increase the decay constant
of the time-resolved fluorescence spectrum. So decay constant of the tumor tissue spectrum should be larger than that of adjacent

With the solution of key scientific and technical problems and development of instrumentation, the application of terahertz technology in various fields has been paid more and more attention. Owing to the unique characteristic advantages, terahertz technology has been showing a broad future in the fields of fast, non-damaging detections, as well as many other fields. Terahertz technology combined with other complementary methods can be used to cope with many difficult practical problems which could not be solved before. One of the critical points for further development of practical terahertz detection methods depends on a good and reliable terahertz spectral database. We developed a BS (browser/server) -based terahertz spectral database recently. We designed the main structure and main functions to fulfill practical requirements. The terahertz spectral database now includes more than 240 items, and the spectral information was collected based on three sources: (1) collection and citation from some other abroad terahertz spectral databases; (2) collected from published literatures; and (3) spectral data measured in our laboratory. The present paper introduced the basic structure and fundament functions of the terahertz spectral database developed in our laboratory. One of the key functions of this THz database is calculation of optical parameters. Some optical parameters including absorption coefficient, refractive index, etc. can be calculated based on the input THz time domain spectra. The other main functions and searching methods of the browser/server-based terahertz spectral database have been discussed. The database search system can provide users convenient functions including user registration, inquiry, displaying spectral figures and molecular structures, spectral matching, etc. The THz database system provides an on-line searching function for registered users. Registered users can compare the input THz spectrum with the spectra of database, according to the obtained correlation coefficient one can perform the searching task very fast and conveniently. Our terahertz spectral database can be accessed at http://www.teralibrary.com. The proposed terahertz spectral database is based on spectral information so far, and will be improved in the future. We hope this terahertz spectral database can provide users powerful, convenient, and high efficient functions, and could promote the broader applications of terahertz technology. 相似文献

Complementary structural and vibrational spectroscopy study of bromanilic acid:2,3,5,6-tetramethylpyrazine (BrA:TMP) 1:1 cocrystal is reported. The crystallographic structure was determined by means of single-crystal X-ray diffraction and can be described as a stacked net of hydrogen-bonded TMPH+⋯BrA−⋯BrA−⋯TMPH+ moieties. The structural analysis was supported by 13CP/MAS NMR study. The complementary vibrational analysis was performed by combining optical (infrared, Raman, terahertz) and inelastic neutron scattering spectroscopy with the state-of-the-art solid–state density functional theory (DFT) computations, which have proven to be superior to the hybrid cluster modeling approach. An excellent agreement between theoretical and experimental data was observed over the entire spectral range, allowing for deep understanding of the vibrational properties. While the primary hydrogen-bonding interactions are limited to the above quoted structural units, the system revealed very little dispersion of the phonon branches, manifested mainly in the intermolecular vibrations range. Moreover, the studied phase does not exhibit any mechanical instability, which could suggest a displacive structural transformation tendency. 相似文献
