Polyurethanes are widely used in the manufacture of commercial products such as foams and paints. During combustion, these polymers can generate isocyanates, which induce adverse health effects. Polymer pyrolysis (Py) hyphenated with mass spectrometry (MS) allows the investigation of polymer thermal degradation over time/temperature. A diphenylmethanediisocyanate (MDI) polyurethane foam was analyzed with electron ionization (EI) and metastable atom bombardment (MAB) ionization at a pyrolysis temperature of 400 °C. The recently introduced MAB ionization source uses discrete energy stored in metastable atoms of gases to ionize the analytes. This characteristic allows modulation of the ionization energy by simply changing the ionization gas. The extensive fragmentation of molecular ions observed using EI 70 eV is not totally eliminated with EI 10 eV. However, only molecular ions are observed with MAB using N2 as the ionization gas. Temperature gradients were used to separate the products generated during the thermal degradation of a 1,6-hexamethylenediisocyanate (HDI) polyurethane paint. The analysis of mass spectra was facilitated owing to a selective desorption of pyrolysis products. Furthermore, changing the MAB ionization gas allows elucidation of the structure of the pyrolysis products by controlling the extent of their fragmentation. During these experiments, isocyanic acid, methyleneisocyanate, ethyleneisocyanate, propylisocyanate and butylisocyanate were detected. 相似文献

计算机辅助高效液相色谱(HPLC)分离条件优化可以低成本、快速地得到优化的分离条,因而已较为广泛地用于复杂样品的分离分析。基于移动重叠分离图方法,又发展了一种新型的多台阶梯度分离条件的优化方法可调移动重叠分离图法。该方法通过预测不同流动相条件下各组分的保留时间、峰宽和分离度,绘制出对于样品中各组分的重叠分离区域图。在对当前台阶流动相组成进行优化的同时,考虑其对后面一到两个台阶上流出组分保留的影响,实时地重新绘制对于后面台阶上流出组分的重叠分离区域图。通过观察当前台阶流动相条件对当前台阶和后面台阶上流出组分分离的影响,综合考虑样品中所有组分的分离情况,找到更接近全局最优的分离条件。通过扫描的方法对优化得到的分离条件进行微调,能够进一步提高分离效果。采用文献数据对可调移动重叠分离图法的应用加以说明,在二元流动相体系下,证明了该方法在HPLC方法建立方面的优越性。 相似文献

A new optimization based adaptive control strategy for simulated moving beds (SMBs) is proposed. A linearized reduced order model, which accounts for the periodic nature of the SMB process, is used for online optimization and control. The manipulated variables are the four inlet flow rates, the outputs are the raffinate and extract concentrations. Concentration measurements at the raffinate and extract outlets are used as the feedback information. The state estimate from the periodic Kalman filter is used for the prediction of the outlet concentrations over a chosen horizon. Predicted outlet concentrations are the basis for the calculation of the optimal input adjustments, which maximize the productivity and minimize the desorbent consumption subject to constraints on product purities. The realization of this concept is discussed and the implementation on a virtual eight column SMB platform is assessed, in the case of binary linear systems. For a whole series of typical plant disturbances it is shown that the proposed approach is effective in minimizing off-spec products and in achieving optimal SMB operation, also in the case where there are significant model uncertainties. 相似文献

The copper‐catalyzed atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) of poly(propylene glycol) methacrylate (PPGM) in solution to produce linear and starlike polymers is reported, using methylethyl ketone as the solvent and a temperature of 80 °C. The ATRP system used was efficient for polymerization of the functionalized monomer without protecting hydroxyl end groups of monomer. The polymerizations were consistent with “living” or controlled processes, as revealed by the linear evolution of molecular weight with conversion. Increasing the [M]0:[I]0 ratio resulted in increasing molecular weights, whereas the polydispersity indices remained low (Mw/Mn < 1.4) even at high conversion. Decreasing the [CuBr]0:[I]0 ratio resulted in lower conversions, slightly larger polydispersities, and decreased molecular weights, likely resulting from a lower initiation efficiency. Polymers were characterized by 1H and 13C NMR; molecular weights of polymers with low degrees of polymerization were estimated by end‐group analysis from 13C NMR spectra obtained using distortionless enhancement by polarization transfer and the gated decoupling techniques. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. We report the synthesis of low bandgap polymers with a difluoroquinoxaline unit by Stille polymerization for use in polymer solar cells (PSCs). A new series of copolymers with 2,3‐didodecyl‐6,7‐difluoro quinoxaline as the electron‐deficient unit and alkyloxybenzo[1,2‐b:4,5‐b′]dithiophene and thiophene as the electron‐rich unit were synthesized. The photovoltaic properties of the devices based on the synthesized polymers revealed that the fluorine atoms at the quinoxaline units aid in decreasing the highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) energy levels; this in turn increased the open circuit voltage of the devices. The polymers with long alkyl chains exhibited good solubility that increased their molecular weight, but the power conversion efficiency was low. Efficient polymer solar cells were fabricated by blending the synthesized copolymers with PC71BM, and the PCE increased up to 5.11% under 100 mW cm−2 AM 1.5 illumination. These results demonstrate that the importance of having a control polymer to be synthesized and characterized side by side with the fluorine analogues. © 2018 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Polym. Photocatalysis has been known as one of the promising technologies due to its eco-friendly nature. However, the potential application of many photocatalysts is limited owing to their large bandgaps and inefficient use of the solar spectrum. One strategy to overcome this problem is to combine the advantages of heteroatom-containing supports with active metal centers to accurately adjust the structural parameters. Metal nanoparticles (MNPs) and single atom catalysts (SACs) are excellent candidates due to their distinctive coordination environment which enhances photocatalytic activity. Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), covalent organic frameworks (COFs) and carbon nitride (g-C3N4) have shown great potential as catalyst support for SACs and MNPs. The numerous combinations of organic linkers with various heteroatoms and metal ions provide unique structural characteristics to achieve advanced materials. The surface grafting of attapulgite (ATP) with polystyrene (PS) was established via a simultaneous reverse and normal initiation atom transfer radical polymerization (SR&NIATRP). 4‐(chloromethyl)phenyltrimethoxysilane (CMPTMS) chemical bounded on the surface of ATP (ATP‐Cl, Cl‐I) was prepared via one‐step self‐assembly. SR&NI ATRP of styrene was conducted using CuCl2 complex tris(2‐(dimethylamino)ethyl)amine (Me6‐TREN) as the catalytic system, initiated by 2,2‐azobis(isobutyronitrile) (AIBN) and ATP‐Cl. FT‐IR, XRD, XPS, TGA and TEM data were consistent with the grafting of benzyl chloride groups and PS chains on ATP surface. The controllability of polymerization was investigated by the kinetics behavior under different molar ratio of AIBN and CuCl2. The obtained polymer possessed a uniform distribution of molecular weights with a lower polydispersity index of 1.2~1.4. The relationship between polymerization on the surface of ATP and in solution was discussed in detail based on TGA data of hybrid particles and GPC trace of free polymer in solution. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
