We present a simple model of the pulse-frequency-modulation (PFM) photosensor that provides explicit relationships between circuit parameters and output characteristics. The model treats the PFM photosensor with a feedback loop as an open loop circuit. Several characteristics such as output pulse frequency for light intensity and photosensitivity are expressed by device parameters of a photodiode, reset transistor, and chain of inverters. The relationships derived from the proposed model help us to comprehend the results by simulation program with integrated circuit emphasis (SPICE) or experiments. We design and fabricate a 128 x 128-pixel PFM image sensor with photosensitivity of 0.15 Hz/lux. As a demonstration, a figure of a dinosaur is captured using the fabricated image sensor to discuss its operation. Characteristics of a normal pixel and white and black defect pixels are measured and discussed based on the results of formulations.  相似文献

We propose a color vision model that can be used to predict color appearance in mesopic vision as well as photopic and scotopic vision. It is based on a two-stage model which consists of the cone and opponent stages and it assumes rod intrusion at the opponent stage. The model has the following features to describe the color appearance in mesopic vision. First, it includes a gradual and nonlinear shift in spectral luminous efficiency from V (LD) to V (LD) to cope with the spectral sensitivity difference between photopic and scotopic vision and the nonlinearity of rod influence on the luminance channel. Second, the model assumes decrease of the chromatic component with decreasing illuminance to explain the reduction of saturation at low illuminance levels. Third, it assumes that red/green and yellow/blue components change with illuminance levels independently, thus explaining hue shifts with decreasing illuminance. We applied the model for color appearance simulation of natural scenes in a mesopic visual environment.  相似文献

We proposed in this study a novel analog complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) circuit for generating a motion signal when an object moves, which is a simple structure. The proposed unit circuit was constructed using a previously proposed edge detection circuit and a novel proposed circuit for generating a motion signal which accepts an edge signal. The part for generating the motion signal was constructed using six metal oxide semiconductor (MOS) transistors and one capacitor. Results obtained by the simulation program with integrated circuit emphasis (SPICE) and the measured results of a test circuit constructed with discrete MOS transistors and the test circuit fabricated with a 1.2 μm CMOS process showed that the proposed unit circuit can output pulsed current (motion signal) when an object moves on the circuit. It was clarified from the SPICE results that the two-dimensional network constructed with proposed unit circuits can output motion signals. The size of the novel unit circuit is expected to be about 110 × 110μm2 obtained by the 1.2 μm CMOS process. It is possible to arrange 90 × 90 unit circuits on a chip which has an area of 1 × 1cm2. The aperture ratio is expected to be about 21%, which is twice as large as that of the previously proposed circuit. An integrated circuit for image processing in real time can thus be realized by applying the two-dimensional network constructed with the proposed circuits.  相似文献

Human subjects can bisect a line, with error, even when they have neglect on one side. How this skill, even though inefficient, can be represented in nonlinear psychophysical theory is explored here. A problem for previous theoretical explanations of lateral neglect bisection, where the errors of bisection are reversed in sign for brain-damaged subjects, when very short lines are used as stimuli, is shown not in fact to be a problem for N(onlinear) P(sychophysical) D(ynamics) theory at all, but is exactly what is expected to arise when sensitivities are biassed on one side. It is suggested that an imbalance in channel inputs in a nonlinear system representation has results which do not follow from a more conventional connectionist approach.  相似文献

A multiple axes 3-D laser scanning system consisting of a portable 3-D laser scanner, a industrial robot and a turntable is demonstrated. By using a criterion sphere, a robot tool center point (TCP) calibration approach is proposed to calibrate the relation between the laser 3-D scanner and the robot end-effector. In this approach, two different translational motions of robot are first made to determine the rotation part, and then at least three different rotational motions are made to determine the translation part. Meanwhile, by using the criterion sphere, a turntable approach is proposed to calibrate the pose of the turntable relative to the robot. In this approach, several rotational angles of turntable and two different heights of the sphere are made to determine the rotational axis of turntable. Experiment is performed on a portable laser scanner mounted on an industrial robot ABB IRB4400 with a turntable. The experiment results show that the two proposed calibration algorithms are stable and flexible. The application of 3-D measurement is also given to demonstrate the effectiveness and stability of the multiple axes 3-D laser scanning system.  相似文献

The determination of strain fields based on displacement components obtained via 2D-DIC is subject to several errors that originate from various sources. In this contribution, we study the impact of a non-perpendicular camera alignment to a planar sheet metal specimen's surface. The errors are estimated in a numerical experiment. To this purpose, deformed images - that were obtained by imposing finite element (FE) displacement fields on an undeformed image - are numerically rotated for various Euler angles. It is shown that a 3D-DIC stereo configuration induces a substantial compensation for the introduced image-plane displacement gradients. However, higher strain accuracy and precision are obtained - up to the level of a perfect perpendicular alignment - in a proposed “rectified” 2D-DIC setup. This compensating technique gains benefit from both 2D-DIC (single camera view, basic amount of correlation runs, no cross-camera matching nor triangulation) and 3D-DIC (oblique angle compensation). Our conclusions are validated in a real experiment on SS304.  相似文献
