Stochastic resonance (SR) in an over-damped linear system subjected to an excitation of bias signal modulated noise with multiplicative and additive noises is investigated. We obtain the exact expressions of the first two moments and the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of the output by using linear-response theory. The SNR depends non-monotonically on the intensity and the correlation time of multiplicative noise, the correlation time of additive noise, the intensity of the cross noise between multiplicative and additive noise, as well as the external field frequency. The conventional SR, the SR in a broad sense and the bona fide SR are found in the system. The influences of the asymmetries of multiplicative and additive noise, the correlation rate of the cross noise, the intensity of additive noise, the amplitude of signal and the bias on the SNR are analyzed. Moreover, we pointed out that SR can be realized by tuning the system parameter with fixed noise, i.e., parameter-induced stochastic resonance (PSR) exists. 相似文献

The effect of uniaxial deformation and subsequent relaxation at ambient temperature on irreversible and reversible crystallization of homogeneous poly(ethylene‐co‐1‐octene) with 38 mol % 1‐octene melt‐crystallized at 10 K min was explored by calorimetry, X‐ray scattering, and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. At 298 K, the enthalpy‐based crystallinity of annealed specimens increased irreversibly by stress‐induced crystallization from initially 15% to a maximum of, at least, 19% when a permanent set of more than 200% was attained. The crystallinity increased by formation of crystals of pseudohexagonal structure at the expense of the amorphous polymer, and as a result of destruction of orthorhombic crystals. The stress‐induced increase of crystallinity was accompanied by an increase in the apparent specific heat capacity from 2.44 to about 2.59 J g?1 K?1, which corresponds to an increase of the total reversibility of crystallization from, at least, 0.10 to 0.17% K?1. The specific reversibility calculated for 100% crystallinity increased from 0.67 to 0.89% K?1 and points to a changed local equilibrium at the interface between the crystal and amorphous phases. The deformation resulted in typical changes of the phase structure and crystal morphology that involve orientation and destruction of crystals as well as the formation of fibrils. The effect of the decrease of the entropy of the strained melt on the reversibility of crystallization and melting is discussed. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. By sequentially adding line segments to a line or disks to a surface at random positions without overlaps, we obtain configurations of the one- and two-dimensional random sequential adsorption (RSA) problem. We have simulated the one- and two-dimensional problem with periodic boundary condition. The one-dimensional simulations are compared with the exact analytical solutions to give an estimate of the accuracy of the simulation. In two dimensions the geometrical properties of the RSA configuration are discussed and in addition known results of the RSA process are reproduced. Various statistical distributions of the Voronoi-Dirichlet (VD) network corresponding to the RSA disk configuration are analyzed. In order to characterize pores in the RSA configuration, we introduce circular holes. There is a direct correspondence between vertices of the VD network and these holes, and also between direct/indirect geometrical neighbors and these holes. The hole size distribution is found to be a parabola. We also find general relations that connect the asymptotic behavior of the surface coverage, the correlation function, and the hole size distribution. 相似文献

The long-time near-conservation of the total and oscillatory energies of numerical integrators for Hamiltonian systems with
highly oscillatory solutions is studied in this paper. The numerical methods considered are symmetric trigonometric integrators
and the St?rmer–Verlet method. Previously obtained results for systems with a single high frequency are extended to the multi-frequency
case, and new insight into the long-time behaviour of numerical solutions is gained for resonant frequencies. The results
are obtained using modulated multi-frequency Fourier expansions and the Hamiltonian-like structure of the modulation system.
A brief discussion of conservation properties in the continuous problem is also included.

Temperature modulation has long been used in various aspects of thermal methods. Historically, the principle areas of application
have been the determination of kinetic parameters using variants of the temperature jump method and the measurement of heat
capacity by AC calorimetry. More recently the introduction of temperature modulation in a variety of techniques has been used
in combination with deconvolution algorithms to separate sample responses that are dependent on rate of change of temperature
from those principally dependent on temperature. Finally, temperature modulation is important in the new field of micro-thermal
analysis.

In situ photoelastic‐modulated Fourier transform infrared reflection absorption spectroscopy has been applied for the investigation of interfacial stability of organothiol and organosilane monolayer films on nanocrystalline zinc oxide thin films. It has been shown that for octadecyltriethoxysilane films, exposure to high water activities results in physisorption of water in the cross‐linked film. This high water activity at the interface leads to a reversible wet de‐adhesion of the interfacial silanol groups from the ZnO surface. However, the organothiol seems to form a denser monolayer and a stable by S–Zn bond that is resistant to the competition with adsorbed water. The reversible attachment for cross‐linked organosilanol films has been demonstrated for the first time by means of an in situ spectroscopic method on model ZnO surfaces. The complexation of the natural antioxidants α‐lipoic acid (ALA) and its reduced form dihydrolipoic acid (DHLA) with Hg2+ was investigated by a recently proposed differential pulse voltammetric (DPV) method using the rotating Au‐disk electrode. Complexation processes are proposed from the multivariate curve resolution by alternating least squares (MCR‐ALS) analysis of DPV titration data. Main complexes were both 1 : 1 Hg : ALA and Hg : DHLA, although the formation of 1 : 2 complexes can be also deduced. ALA and DHLA show different Hg2+‐binding patterns at different pH. Voltammetric findings are completed with the data obtained by electrospray ionization mass‐spectrometry (ESI‐MS), especially in negative mode. 相似文献
