两自由度非对称三次系统非奇异时的非线性模态及叠加性

本文利用非线性模态子空间的不变性研究两自由度非对称三次系统在非奇异条件下的非线性模态及其模态叠加解有效性，重点考虑这种有效性与模态动力学方程静态分岔之间的关系·大量的数值结果表明，非线性模态解的有效性不仅与其局部性的限制有关，而且与模态动力学方程静态解分岔有关·

Algebraically Decaying Modes in Many Dimensions: Application of Fubini’s Identity to Guided-Wave Optics

We show analytically that application of an identity in conformal invariant field theories to multidimensional guided-wave optics predicts a generic family of modes with algebraic (power-law) tails in the evanescent field.

An approach to high-speed micro-HPLC

The possibility of high-speed micro-HPLC has been investigated using a short micro-column (35 mm × 0.5 mm i.d.) packed with 3 μm ODS particle. The results indicate that this approach has considerable potential for good separations with short analysis time. A typical example shows only three minutes is required with a plate count of 3,800 to separate seven PAHs.     

A dielectric rod waveguide coupled with metal rectangular waveguide

Measurements have been done in the millimeter wave region on a composite waveguide which comprises a dielectric rod waveguide connecting two metal rectangular waveguides. Such a waveguide has been used by us in a Josephson harmonic mixer installed in a small metal cryostat, to prevent the thermal invasion from outside environment and to transmit both signal and LO waves with small losses. The measured transmission loss, that is caused mainly by the coupling loss between metal rectangular waveguides (TE₁₀ mode) and a dielectric rod waveguide (HE₁₁ mode), has been less than 2dB in the frequency range of 52–104 GHz.     

Propagation of longitudinal ultrasonic waves in RbH2PO4 near its ferroelectric phase transition temperature

Ferroelectric phase transition in RbH₂PO₄ has been investigated using propagation of longitudinal acoustic waves along the polar axis near the transition temperature. The velocity of this mode is continuous across the transition temperature. Velocity data in the ferroelectric phase are analyzed in terms of coupled soft modeacoustic mode model of Pytte to obtain the temperature dependence of the soft mode frequency. The attenuation data in the ferroelectric phase show power law dependence. It follows scaling behaviour of the type predicted by Kawasaki from the mode-mode coupling theory and the dynamical scaling.     

TE mode coupling between end separated buried waveguides: expressions and calculations

In this paper the power coupling expression between two identical axially aligned and spatially separated waveguides is presented. Calculations using the coupling expression for a Gaussian mode profile in the input waveguide produce results that are in excellent agreement with experimental observations.
