A new method for the selective cleanup of complex matrices and simultaneous separation of benzo[a]pyrene (BaP) was developed in this study. This method was based on solid-phase extraction (SPE) using magnesium oxide microspheres as sorbents, and it eliminated interferences from various impurities, such as lipids, sulphur, pigments, halobenzenes, polychlorodibenzo-p-dioxins and polychlorodibenzofurans. Several parameters, including the volume of rinsing and eluting solvents, the type of loading solvents and SPE sorbents, were optimized systematically. The capability for impurity removal was verified by gel permeation chromatography, gas chromatography, and liquid chromatography. Compared to commercial sorbents (silica gel, florisil and alumina), MgO microspheres exhibited excellent performance in the selective isolation of BaP and removal of impurities. The proposed method was applied to detect BaP in complex samples (sediments, soils, fish, and porcine liver). The limit of quantification (LOQ) was 1.04 ngL(-1), and the resulting regression coefficient (r(2)) was greater than 0.999 over a broad concentration range (9.5-7600 ngL(-1)). In contrast to traditional methods, the proposed method can give rise to higher recovery (85.1-100.8%) and better selectivity with simpler operation and less consumption of organic solvents (20-40 mL). 相似文献

Polymeric microspheres were prepared from a Merrifield resin via nitroxide‐mediated radical polymerization. Polystyrene, poly(acetoxystyrene), and poly[styrene‐b‐(methyl methacrylate‐co‐styrene)], poly(acetoxystyrene‐b‐styrene), and poly(styrene‐co‐2‐hydroxyethyl methacrylate) copolymers were demonstrated to graft onto 2,2,6,6‐tetramethyl‐1‐piperidinyloxy nitroxide bound Merrifield resins. The polymerization control was enhanced both on the surface and in solution by the addition of sacrificial nitroxide. The significant increase in the particle diameter (more than a fivefold volume increase for polystyrene brushes) showed that polymer growth was not only on the surface but also within the particles, and this diameter increase could be adjusted through changes in the molecular weight of the polymers. Uniform rhodamine B (RB)-doped SiO2/TiO2 composite microspheres with catalytic and fluorescent properties were prepared by an easy and economical method in this paper. The composite microspheres were built up with well-dispersed silica particles as the cores, RB as both the doped agent and stabilizer, and the TiO2 shells were obtained through the hydrolysis of TiCl4 in water bath. The morphology and structure of the particles were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray powder diffraction (XRD). The characterization results indicate that composite particles are all in spherical shape and have a narrow size distribution. The composite particles calcined above 500 °C reveal clear crystalline reflection peaks of the rutile TiO2 which exhibits well catalytic property. The photocatalytic experiment was carried out in order to examine the catalytic property of composite microspheres. The fluorescent property of particles was also investigated. Dye-leakage test indicates that RB molecules entrapped in the composite particles by this method are stable inside the particles. 相似文献

A facile and novel method for the production of a large area of well-ordered polystyrene(PS)colloidal crystal monolayer was established using the surfactant-free Langmuir-Blodgett(LB)technique.The hydrophobic property(film-forming ability)of PS spheres was improved by a thermo-rheology treatment before LB assembly,and a large film was obtained.In contrast to the traditional LB technique,no surfactant was needed in this method,which could eliminate the additional contamination of surfactants in the preparation process and provided the products with versatile applications in nanosphere lithography(NSL)for biosensor,surface plasmon resonance,and surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy. 相似文献

Synthesis and properties of the new difunctional methacrylate monomer 2‐hydroxy‐3‐methacryloyloxypropoxybenzene are presented. This monomer was applied for the synthesis of porous microspheres. It was copolymerized with trimethylolpropane trimethacrylate in the presence of two pairs of pore‐forming diluents dodecane and toluene, and n‐decanol and toluene. Influence of diluents composition on their porous structures was studied. We studied the photon spectrum in coated microspheres with alternating quasiperiodic layers having left-handed (LH) materials included. It is found that the band gap (spectral zone of nearly zero transmittancy) in such a system is strongly enhanced. At an increase of the quasiperiodicity parameter γ, the boundaries of the spectral band gaps acquire the intended shape. When γ exceeds the inverse golden mean value, a structure with extremely narrow separated resonant peaks with nearly complete transmittance arises. At increased γ, such resonances migrate to the center of the band gap. This effect allows creating optical filters with extremely narrow passbands. 相似文献

Maleated poly(ethylene-octene) (POE-g-MAH), as a compatilizer and toughener, was incorporated in polypropylene/hollow glass microspheres (PP/HGM) binary composites, and the phase structure and thermal and mechanical properties of these composites were investigated. Scanning electron microscopy analysis indicated that the phase structure of ternary composites could be controlled by POE-g-MAH and the surface treatment of HGM. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy revealed that there was an amidation reaction between the treated HGM and POE-g-MAH during melt compounding. Differential scanning calorimetry suggested that the crystallization and melting behaviors of ternary composites were influenced by phase structure. Evaluation of mechanical properties showed that the amide linkage between the treated HGM and POE-g-MAH was favorable for improving the properties of ternary composites. 相似文献

In this study, amino group–modified magnetic polymer microspheres were synthesized in a well‐shaped spherical form with a size range of 0.6 μm to 0.8 μm by mini‐emulsion polymerization. The morphology, composition, and thermal properties of the magnetic polymer microspheres were characterized by infrared (IR) spectra, transmission electron microscopy (TEM) photographs, particle size analysis, and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) spectra. A facile and convenient chemical precipitation route has been developed for the controlled growth of selenium nanowires and hierarchical microspheres at room temperature, with Na2SeO3 and hydrazine hydrate as starting materials in the presence of 1,2,3‐trimethylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate (tmimBF4). The surface morphology of microspheres can be tuned by adjusting the reaction media. The products were characterized by X‐ray powder diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscope (SEM). Possible formation mechanisms of selenium nanowires and microspheres are proposed, respectively. The influences of the nature of reaction media, agitation and tmimBF4 on the morphologies development were experimentally investigated and it was found that these factors were of great importance for the formation of Se morphologies.
