Lifetime prediction of ABS polymers based on thermoanalytical data

The service life of ABS polymer, stabilized by 2-(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyanilino)-4,6-bis(octylthio)-1,3,5-triazine and containing 50% of a modifying rubber component, was estimated from oxidative induction times measured by DSC in isothermal mode in the temperature interval 140–170°C. The lifetime of ABS powder at the actual temperature of drying was predicted by linear extrapolation according to Arrhenius. However, the extrapolated value was much longer than the real lifetime determined from the long-term oven aging tests at 70 and 90°C, simulating the industrial drying process. The effect of changes in the apparent activation energy of oxidation due to antioxidant consumption during polymer aging is discussed.     

配位聚合物{[MnL][FeⅡFeⅢ(ox)3·1.5H2O]}∞的合成及其磁学性质

合成和表征了一种新的Schiff碱配合物MnL(ClO4)*3H2O(1)(其中L为n(水杨醛)∶n(二乙撑三胺)=1∶1缩合而成的Schiff碱).1与FeSO4*7H2O和K3[Fe(ox)3]*3H2O(ox=oxalate)进一步反应,生成了双金属层状配位聚合物{[MnL][FeⅡFeⅢ(ox)3]*1.5H2O}∞(2).IR和Mssbauer谱测定结果表明,2具有二维层状结构,其阴离子层由[FeⅡFeⅢ(ox)3]-单元构成.变温磁化率(5K～100K)测试结果表明,2中的自旋载体之间存在反铁磁交换作用.5K时的磁滞现象表明2在低温时可能存在铁磁有序,这可能是亚铁磁或自旋倾斜造成的.     

Morphological effect on spectral property of poly(9,9-dihexylfluorene-alt-2,5-dihexyloxybenzene) films

In this study the optical property and film morphology of a conjugated polymer, poly(9,9-dihexylfluorene-alt-2,5-dihexyloxybenzene) (PF6OC6), are investigated. It is found that the intensity of the 0-1 emission relative to the 0-0 emission in the PL spectra and the full width at the half-maximum (fwhm) of PL spectra of the PF6OC6 films decrease firstly and then increase with increasing the annealing temperature. The polymer films also exhibit different morphological features after annealing at different temperatures. The optical and morphological results suggest that the vibronic structure of PF6OC6 is closely related to the film morphology, and its formation is enhanced in the amorphous (or less ordered) films and inhibited in the ordered films.     

Molecular structure of mixed adsorption layers surfactant—polymer at a liquid—liquid interface

Isotherms of the binding of dodecyl sulfate anions (DDS^–)and Na⁺ counterions during their coadsorption with a nonionic polymer. proxanol (PR). at the interface of dodecane-water emulsions have been measured by conductometry and Na-selective potentiometry. The adsorption of DDS^– and PR is concurrent. The affinity constant of PR to the interface determined by the Langmuir model decreases as the concentration of PR increases, and the surface concentration of DDS^– tends to a nonzero limiting value at high concentrations of PR. The surface (_o) and electrokinetic () potentials at the interface have been determined at various polymer concentrations by the spin probe and electrophoresis methods. The average dielectric permeability and density of polymer segments in We adsorption layer have been determined by ESR. The lower boundary of the hydrodynamic thickness of the polymer adsorption layer at the interface has been estimated from the dependences of _o and on the ionic strength.Translated fromIzvestiya Akademii Nauk. 低分子量聚合物电解质的合成与性能

研究了低分子量梳状聚合物电解质的合成方法及结构，性能。首先合成了不同分子量的甲基丙烯酸聚乙二醇单甲醚酯，并进一步合成了分子量一万左右的梳状聚合物电解质，结果表明：反应严格按照反应方程进行，精制产物是非晶的梳状聚合物，本聚合物体系均存在两个玻璃化转变温度，一个在100℃左右，归属为梳状聚合物主链的玻璃化转变，另一个在－20摄氏度以下，归属于侧链玻璃化转变，在室温下侧链可以运动，有利于电活性物质的迁移和扩散，并用超微电极研究了该电解质的行为。     

The Inclusion Mode of tert-Butylbenzene in the 1-D Channel of Microporous β-Bis(1,1,1-trifluoro-5, 5-dimethyl-5-methoxy-acetylacetonato) copper(II)

Inclusion of tert-butylbenzeneinto the l-D channel of the titlehost matrix results in a-[CuL₂]1/3(tert-butylbenzene)inclusion compound(trigonal, space groupR =3;a = 24.495(3),c = 10.510(2) Å,V = 5461(1) ų,Z = 9;R = 0.049). The observed guest–host mole ratio of 1/3 was confirmed by X-ray diffraction and arises from the stoichiometric filling of the larger wide segments of the channel. This contrasts with the benzene inclusion compound studied previously, where both the larger and smaller wide segments were occupied to give a 2/3 guest–host stoichiometry. A comparison of these two structures explains the experimental fact that the guest–host mole ratios for inclusions of the title host lie between values of 1/3 and 2/3for 20 different benzene derivatives.     

WHOLLY-AROMATIC THERMOTROPIC LIQUID CRYSTALLINE POLYMER AND ITS BLOCK COPOLYMER

A wholly-aromatic thermotropic liquid crystalline polymer (WATLCP) composed ofp-hydroxybenzoic acid (HBA), 4,4'-dihydroxy bisphenyl (BP), terephthalic acid (TPA),m-phthalic acid (MPA) was synthesized. It was symbolized by BP-LCP. Using a simi-lar method, a new copolymer BP-PSF was prepared. BP-PSF has a semi-flexible chainpolysulfone and a rigid-rod chain like BP-LCP. By FT-IR, polarizing microscope and DSCtechnique, the structures and properties of BP-LCP and BP-PSF were studied.     

A Chiral Coordination Polymer of Silver(I) with Saccharinate and Pyridine: Synthesis,Spectral, Thermal,and Structural Characterization of [Ag(sac)(py)]<Subscript><Emphasis Type="Italic">n</Emphasis></Subscript>

The first silver(I) complex of saccharinate (sac) with pyridine (py), [Ag(sac)(py)]_n has been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy and single crystal X-ray diffractometry. The complex crystallizes in chiral, trigonal space group P3₁21 (No. 152) with unit cell parameters of a = 11.2605(2) Å, c = 17.3300(4) Å, V = 1903.02(6) ų and Z = 6. [Ag(sac)(py)]_n contains monomeric [Ag(sac)(py)] units linked into infinite helices by way of Ag⋅sAg interactions [d(Ag⋅sAg) = 2.909(2) and 2.985(1) Å]. The distorted square-planar environment of Ag is completed by an N-bonded sac [Ag—N = 2.084(2) Å] and a py molecule [Ag—N = 2.116(2) Å]. The N_sac—Ag—N_py angle is 173.85(10)^∘. The one-dimensional chains are crosslinked by C—H⋅sO interactions involving the carbonyl and sulfonyl O atoms of sac and aromatic-ring hydrogen atoms of both sac and py. The thermal stability of the title complex was investigated using thermogravimetry and differential thermal analysis in a static atmosphere of air. The first decomposition stage between 90 and 160^∘C corresponds to removal of the py molecule in a single stage, while the degradation of the sac moiety occurs at two stages in the temperature range 370–515^∘C, giving an end product of metallic Ag.     

以铜离子为模板的褐藻酸凝胶对铜离子的选择性富集研究

以铜离子为模板，制备了褐藻酸凝胶（Cu-alginate)，通过吸附实验及过柱渗滤实验，试验了该吸附剂对铜离子的选择性吸附性能，并且采用该吸附剂富集了自来水中微量的Cu^2 ，结合原子吸收法测定了水样中Cu^2 的含量。结果表明：该吸附剂对Cu^2 有较高的选择性吸附性能，显著优于一些化学合成铜离子模板缩聚物及非铜模板褐藻酸凝胶（如Ca-alginate),非重金属离子（如K^ 、Na^ 、Ca^2 ）及某些重金属离子（如Ni^2 、Cd^2 ）等对Cu^2 的吸附均不产生明显干扰。用该吸附剂富集水中的微量铜离子，回收率可达97.7%。     

STUDY ON MAGNETIC FIELD-INDUCED 0RIENTATI0N OF A CHIRAL SIDE-CHAIN LIQUID CRYSTAL POLYACRYLATE USING INFRARED DICHROISM

Magnetic field-induced orientation of a chiral side chain liquid crystalline polyacrylate(P-11) was studied by using IR dichroism. For the investigated P-11, it has been shown thatthe magnetic alignment takes place over the entire temperature range between its meltingpoint and clearing point and the orientation level is strongly temperature-dependent, thedevelopment with time of the magnetic orieatation follows an exponeotial-type relation,and the smectic phase state influences the thermal relaxation process in the absence of themagnetic field.
