A survey is given of NMR studies of colossal magnetoresistive manganese perovskites (RE,Ca,Sr,Ba)MnO3 (RE = rare earth) and the interstitially modified permanent magnet materials, RE2Fe17A
x
(A = N,C,H) at ambient pressure and at applied pressures of up to 10 kbar. The different pressure behavior of the Mn hyperfine field found in the metallic and in the insulating manganite compounds is discussed and related to the micro- and macroscopic properties of these magnetically inhomogeneous materials. In the RE2Fe17A
x
compounds a different pressure behavior of the hyperfine field at the RE sites with different number and type of interstitial atom neighbors is discussed in terms of local compressibility. The influence of the interstitial modification and the applied pressure on the RE hyperfine field and quadrupole splitting is analyzed and the impact of the chemical pressure and covalent effects on these quantities is compared. A comparison of the behavior of the magnetic state of the 4f electron shell with pressure and with interstitial modification is made and the relation to the magnetocrystalline anisotropy is discussed. 相似文献

The effect of
16
O
→
18
O isotope substitution on electrical resistivity, magnetoresistance, and ac magnetic susceptibility was studied for La0.35Pr0.35Ca0.3MnO3 epitaxial thin films deposited onto LaAlO3 and SrTiO3 substrates. For the films on LaAlO3, the isotope substitution resulted in the reversible transition from a metal-like to insulating state. The applied magnetic
field ( H
≥ 2
T) transformed the sample with 18O back to the metallic state. The films on SrTiO3 remained metallic at low temperatures for both 16O and 18O, but the shift of the resistivity peak corresponding to onset of metallic state exceeded 63 K after
16
O
→
18
O substitution. The temperature dependence of both resistivity and magnetic susceptibility was characterized by hysteresis,
especially pronounced in the case of the films on LaAlO3. Such a behavior gives certain indications of the phase separation characteristic of interplay between ferromagnetism and
charge ordering.

The charge ordering characteristics in Y0.5Ca0.5MnO3 manganite, prepared by sol–gel process, have been investigated experimentally. It is found that the superlattice diffractions appear in the electron diffraction patterns recorded at low temperatures, while only basic Brag diffraction spots can be observed when temperature is higher than 300 K. This provides direct evidence for the existence of charge ordering in Y0.5Ca0.5MnO3. The magnetization and specific heat measurements indicate the charge ordering temperature of Y0.5Ca0.5MnO3 is 290 K, around which both the magnetization and specific heat reveal anomalous behaviors. We also observed that the MnO bond length changed remarkably and the effective number of carriers reduced prominently with decreasing temperature around charge ordering temperature through transform infrared spectra measurements. 相似文献

实验研究了La2/3CamMnO3样品零磁场下的电阻率和低磁场下的磁化强度随温度的变化行为.结果表明,除了居里温度(Tc)外还存在另一特征温度Tonset,高于Tonset的样品为典型的顺磁绝缘体,而低于Tc的样品为典型的铁磁金属,但在Lonset和Tc之间,样品的磁化率大大偏离居里一外斯定律,同时其导电特性显示出明显的反常.对观察到的不寻常导电特性,根据铁磁金属集团在顺磁绝缘体背景上随机分布的假设,进行了分析与探讨。 相似文献

The anisotropic magnetoresistances (AMRs) in single crystalline Co(6 nm)/SrTiO3(001) heterostructures from 5 K to 300 K with the current direction setting along either Co[100] or Co[110] are investigated in this work. The anomalous (normal) AMR is observed below (above) 100 K. With the current along Co[100] direction, the AMR shows negative longitudinal and positive transverse magnetoresistances at T< 100 K, while the AMR is inverse with the current along Co[110]. Meanwhile, the amplitude ratio between Co[110] and Co[100] is observed to be as large as 29 at 100 K. A crystal symmetry-adapted model of AMR demonstrates that interplay between the non-crystalline component and crossed AMR component results in the anomalous AMR. Our results may reveal more intriguing magneto-transport behaviors of film on SrTiO3 or other perovskite oxides. 相似文献

垂直磁各向异性稀土-铁-石榴石纳米薄膜在自旋电子学中具有重要应用前景.本文使用溅射方法在(111)取向掺杂钇钪的钆镓石榴石(Gd0.63Y2.37Sc2Ga3O12,GYSGG)单晶衬底上外延生长了2—100 nm厚的钬铁石榴石(Ho3Fe5O12,HoIG)薄膜,并进一步在HoIG上沉积了3 nm Pt薄膜.测量了室温下HoIG的磁各向异性和HoIG/Pt异质结构的自旋相关输运性质.结果显示,厚度薄至2 nm的HoIG薄膜(小于2个单胞层)在室温仍具有铁磁性,且由于外延应变,2—60 nm厚HoIG薄膜都具有很强的垂直磁各向异性,有效垂直各向异性场最大达350 mT;异质结构样品表现出非常可观的反常霍尔效应和“自旋霍尔/各向异性”磁电阻效应,前者在HoIG厚度小于4 nm时开始缓慢下降,而后者当HoIG厚度小于7 nm时急剧减小,说明相较于反常霍尔效应,磁电阻效应对HoIG的体磁性相对更加敏感;此外,自旋相关热电压随HoIG厚度减薄在整个厚度范围以指数方式下降,说明遵从热激化磁振子运动规律的自旋塞贝克效应是其主要贡献者.本文结果表明HoIG纳米薄膜具有可调控的垂直磁各向异性,厚度大于4 nm的HoIG/Pt异质结构具有高效的自旋界面交换作用,是自旋电子学应用发展的一个重要候选材料. 相似文献

The transport properties and magnetoresistance of electron-doped manganate / insulator composites (La0.8Te0.2MnO3)1 - x/(ZrO2)x (x=0, 0.3, and 0.5) are investigated. It is found that the metal-insulator transition temperature of this system shifts to a lower value as the ZrO2 content increases. The introduction of ZrO2 enhances both the domain scattering and electron relative scattering in the metal transport region. In the adiabatic small polaron hopping transport region, the thermal activation energy seems invariable regardless of the ZrO2 content. The application of a magnetic field promotes the charge transportation capabilities of the composites, and the magnetoresistance is enhanced with an increase of the ZrO2 content. This could be attributed to the more remarkable modification effect of magnetic field on ordering degree in the composites than in pure La0.8Te0.2MnO3. 相似文献

The magnetic and electrical properties of nonmagnetic Ga +3 ion substitution for Mn site are investigated in the bilayer manganite La 1.2 Sr 1.8 Mn 2 O 7.When the Mn is substituted by Ga,the ferromagnetic property obviously weakens,the magnetic transition temperature decreases and a spin-glass behaviour occurs at low temperature.Meanwhile,doping causes the resistivity to dramatically increase,the metal-insulator transition temperature to disappear,and a greater magneto-resistance effect to occur at low temperature.These effects result from the fact that Ga substitution dilutes the magnetic active Mn-O-Mn network and weakens the double exchange interaction,and further suppresses ferromagnetic ordering and metallic conduction. 相似文献
