A method is proposed for dynamic analysis of towed spatial branched structures. The method permits determining the kinematic
and force characteristics of a structure towed either downwave or upwave. The slacking of certain elements of the structure

Piezo-film sensors were employed in determining the dynamic response of [(0 deg/90 deg)4]s s-glass/epoxy laminates and 2024 aluminum specimens. Simple beam- and plate-type sensor equations were derived based on classical
plate theory incorporating the linear piezoelastic constitutive relationship. A series of vibration and impact tests were
conducted for the determination of structural dynamic response. Piezo-film sensors, with a thickness and area of 110 μm and
1×1 cm2, respectively, were connected directly to a voltage measurement device in these tests. The first three bending frequencies
of the glass-fiber-reinforced plastic (GFRP) cantilever specimen were examined. Experimental results and those simulated by
the MARC finite-element code were found to be in good agreement, with the difference between the two being less than five
percent. At frequencies above 3 kHz, piezo-film transducers are capable of closely detecting structural dynamic response in
the absence of charge amplification. At frequencies lower than approximately 3 kHz, however, the voltage measured directly
from a piezo-film sensor underestimates structural response. A modified piezo-film sensor equation is thus proposed for lower
frequency measurements. Effect of frequency and piezo-film's size on lower frequency attenuation is explicitly formulated
based on a simple RC circuit analogy. Drop tests were also performed on clamped [(0 deg/90 deg)4]s GFRP laminates and aluminum targets, with nine piezo-film sensors being glued to the specimen's distal surface in order to
determine the low-speed impact response. Specimen transient central deflection subjected to impact loading was identified
based on test findings and the plate-type piezo-film sensor equation. The results were found to be in good agreement with

This work investigates nonlinear dynamic response of circular rings rotating with spin speed which involves small fluctuations from a constant average value. First, Hamilton's principle is applied and the equations of motion are expressed in terms of a single time coordinate, representing the amplitude of an in-plane bending mode. For nonresonant excitation or for slowly rotating rings, a complete analysis is presented by employing phase plane methodologies. For rapidly rotating rings, periodic spin speed variations give rise to terms leading to parametric excitation. In this case, the vibrations that occur under principal parametric resonance are analyzed by applying the method of multiple scales. The resulting modulation equations possess combinations of trivial and nontrivial constant steady state solutions. The existence and stability properties of these motions are first analyzed in detail. Also, analysis of the undamped slow-flow equations provides a global picture for the possible motions of the ring. In all cases, the analytical predictions are verified and complemented by numerical results. In addition to periodic response, these results reveal the existence of unbounded as well as transient chaotic response of the rotating ring. 相似文献

本文主要进行了环氧及增韧环氧树脂的断裂韧性及裂纹快速扩展的试验研究。试验过程中采用了GLC-1型高速裂纹扩展测试仪来测试裂纹的扩展速度,得到在裂纹扩展过程中裂纹扩展速度曲线。本文结合不同的计算公式及有限元分析方法,讨论了各个确定断裂韧性公式的准确程度,发现传统的静态断裂韧性的分析方法所得到的结果偏大,有一定的危险性,建议使用试验与数值计算相结合的方法;同时还发现增韧不仅可以提高材料的静态和动态断裂性能,而且在裂纹扩展过程中可以起到减缓裂纹扩展的作用 相似文献
