Diaquacobinamide (H2O)2Cbi2+ or its conjugate base hydroxyaquacobinamide (OH(H2O)Cbi+)) can bind up to two cyanide ions, making dicyanocobinamide. This transition is accompanied by a significant change in color, previously exploited for cyanide determination. The reagent OH(H2O)Cbi+ is used in excess; when trace amounts of cyanide are added, CN(H2O)Cbi+ should be formed. But the spectral absorption of CN(H2O)Cbi+ is virtually the same as that of OH(H2O)Cbi+. It has been inexplicable how trace amounts of cyanide are sensitively measured by this reaction. It is shown here that even with excess OH(H2O)Cbi+, (CN)2Cbi is formed first due to kinetic reasons; this only slowly forms CN(H2O)Cbi+. This understanding implies that CN(H2O)Cbi+ will itself be a better reagent. 相似文献

设计了一种新型边孔型保偏光子晶体光纤,在包层中对称地引入两个大空气孔,纤芯区域与大空气孔之间仅有一层小空气孔。由平面应变假设将该模型进行二维简化,利用有限元法对该光纤的二维模型进行数值分析,通过计算不同温度和静压力下的双折射频移以研究其温度和静压力传感特性。研究表明,在较大静压力和温度范围内,该保偏光子晶体光纤无需掺杂任何应力材料就可以实现?2.1353 GHz/MPa的静压力灵敏度且具有温度不敏感性,其温度灵敏度仅为+0.1542 MHz/℃。另外,还对该光子晶体光纤的光学特性进行了分析,其满足单模传输条件、具有较小的限制性损耗和较大的有效模场面积。由于具有体积小、与其他光纤兼容度强、静压力灵敏度高、温度不敏感的特性,其在温度变化不定、静压力改变区间较大的环境中静压力精确测量的优势比较明显,较好的光学特性使其在油井、土木的监测应用等方面有着重要参考价值。 相似文献

A double-helix optical trapping potential for cold atoms can be straightforwardly created inside the evanescent field of an optical nanofiber. It suffices to send three circularly polarized light fields through the nanofiber; two counterpropagating and far red-detuned with respect to the atomic transition and the third far blue-detuned. Assuming realistic experimental parameters, the transverse confinement of the resulting potential allows one to reach the one-dimensional regime with cesium atoms for temperatures of several μK. Moreover, by locally varying the nanofiber diameter, the radius and pitch of the double-helix can be modulated, thereby opening a realm of applications in cold-atom physics. 相似文献

Well‐defined cyclic‐polymers (cyclic‐PAzoMMAs), bearing side‐chain phenylazo naphthalene chromophore, were successfully synthesized by the combination of atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) and copper(I)‐catalyzed azide/alkyne cycloaddition “click” reaction, as verified by GPC, 1H NMR, FTIR, and MALDI‐TOF mass spectrometry. The cyclic‐PAzoMMA showed higher glass transition temperatures than the linear‐PAzoMMA with the same molecular weight. Interestingly, the cyclic‐PAzoMMA exhibited deeper modulation depth (M.D.) induced by SRG, larger value of the photoinduced birefringence, increased fluorescence emission, and longer fluorescence lifetime in comparison with its linear counterpart. 相似文献

Optical planar waveguides in Yb 3+-doped phosphate glasses are fabricated by implanting triple-energy helium ions. The guiding modes and the near-field intensity distribution are measured by using the prism-coupling method and the end-face coupling setup with a He-Ne laser at 633 nm The intensity calculation method (ICM) is used to reconstruct the refractive index profile of the waveguide. The absorption and the fluorescence investigations reveal that the glass bulk features are well preserved in the active volumes of the waveguides, suggesting the fabricated structures for possible applications as waveguide lasers. 相似文献

We study the scattering process of photons confined in a one-dimensional optical waveguide by a laser controlled atomic ensemble. The investigation leads to an alternative setup of quantum node controlling the coherent transfer of single photon in such one dimensional continuum. To exactly solve the effective scattering equations by using the discrete coordinate approach, we simulate the linear waveguide as a coupled resonator array at the high energy limit. We generally calculate the transmission coefficients and itsvanishing at resonace reflects the good controllability of our scheme. We investigate the transmission properties of a normally
incident TM plane wave through metal films with periodic
parabolic-shaped grooves on single and double surfaces using the
finite-difference-time-domain method. Nearly zero transmission
efficiency is found at wavelengths corresponding to surface plasmon
excitation on a flat surface in the case where the single surface is
grooved. Meanwhile, resonant excitation of surface plasmon polariton
(SPP) Bloch modes leads to a strong transmission peak at slightly
larger wavelengths. When the grating is grooved on double surfaces,
the transmission enhancement can be dramatically improved due to the

By means of the network equation and generalized dimensionless Floquet-Bloch theorem,this paper investigates the properties of the band number and width for quadrangular multiconnected networks (QMNs) with a different number of connected waveguide segments (NCWSs) and various matching ratio of waveguide length (MRWL).It is found that all photonic bands are wide bands when the MRWL is integer.If the integer attribute of MRWL is broken,narrow bands will be created from the wide band near the centre of band structure.For two-segment-connected networks and three-segment-connected networks,it obtains a series of formulae of the band number and width.On the other hand,it proposes a so-called concept of two-segment-connected quantum subsystem and uses it to discuss the complexity of the band structures of QMNs.Based on these formulae,one can dominate the number,width and position of photonic bands within designed frequencies by adjusting the NCWS and MRWL.There would be potential applications for designing optical switches,optical narrow-band filters,dense wavelength-division-multiplexing devices and other correlative waveguide network devices. 相似文献

In this paper, the dispersion characteristics of a birefringence dielectric planar grating structure for application in pressure and temperature measurements are analyzed by a method, which combines the edge element method with rigorous mode matching approach. Analysis results show that this new anisotropic grating structure offers very high sensitivity for pressure and temperature measurements.
