Derived from quantum waves immersed in an Abelian gauge potential, the quasiperiodic Aubry-André-Harper (AAH) model is a simple yet powerful Hamiltonian to study the Anderson localization of ultracold atoms. Here, we investigate the localization properties of ultracold atoms in quasiperiodic optical lattices subject to a non-Abelian gauge potential, which are depicted by non-Abelian AAH models. We identify that the non-Abelian AAH models can bear the self-duality. We analyze the localization of such non-Abelian self-dual optical lattices, revealing a rich phase diagram driven by the non-Abelian gauge potential involved: a transition from a pure delocalization phase, then to coexistence phases, and finally to a pure localization phase. This is in stark contrast to the Abelian counterpart that does not support the coexistence phases. Our results establish the connection between localization and gauge symmetry, and thus comprise a new insight on the fundamental aspects of localization in quasiperiodic systems, from the perspective of non-Abelian gauge potential.  相似文献

Using a Backlund transformation and the variable separation approach, we find there exist abundant localized coherent structures for the (2 + 1)-dimensional Broer-Kaup-Kupershmidt (BKK) system. The abundance of the localized structures for the model is introduced by the entrance of an arbitrary function of the seed solution. For some specialselections of the arbitrary function, it is shown that the localized structures of the BKK equation may be dromions, lumps, ring solitons, peakons, or fractal solitons etc.  相似文献

Exploring new catalytic strategies for achieving efficient CO2 hydrogenation under mild conditions is of great significance for environmental remediation. Herein, a composite photocatalyst Zr-based MOF encapsulated plasmonic AuPt alloy nanoparticles (AuPt@UiO-66-NH2) was successfully constructed for the efficient photothermal catalysis of CO2 hydrogenation. Under light irradiation at 150 °C, AuPt@UiO-66-NH2 achieved a CO production rate of 1451 μmol gmetal−1 h−1 with 91 % selectivity, which far exceeded those obtained by Au@Pt@UiO-66-NH2 with Pt shell on Au (599 μmol gmetal−1 h−1) and Au@UiO-66-NH2 (218 μmol gmetal−1 h−1). The outstanding performances of AuPt@UiO-66-NH2 were attributed to the synergetic effect originating from the plasmonic metal Au, doped active metal Pt, and encapsulation structure of UiO-66-NH2 shell. This work provides a new way for photothermal catalysis of CO2 and a reference for the design of high-performance plasmonic catalysts.  相似文献

A linear scaling local correlation approach is proposed for approximately solving the coupled cluster doubles (CCD) equations of large systems in a basis of orthogonal localized molecular orbitals (LMOs). By restricting double excitations from spatially close occupied LMOs into their associated virtual LMOs, the number of significant excitation amplitudes scales only linearly with molecular size in large molecules. Significant amplitudes are obtained to a very good approximation by solving the CCD equations of various subsystems, each of which is made up of a cluster associated with the orbital indices of a subset of significant amplitudes and the local environmental domain of the cluster. The combined effect of these two approximations leads to a linear scaling algorithm for large systems. By using typical thresholds, which are designed to target an energy accuracy, our numerical calculations for a wide range of molecules using the 6-31G or 6-31G* basis set demonstrate that the present local correlation approach recovers more than 98.5% of the conventional CCD correlation energy.  相似文献

This work discusses efficient and automated methods for constructing a set of representative resonance structures for arbitrary chemical species, including radicals and biradicals, consisting of the elements H, C, O, N, and S. Determining the representative reactive structures of chemical species is crucial for identification of reactive sites and consequently applying the correct reaction templates to generate the set of important reactions during automated chemical kinetic model generation. We describe a fundamental set of resonance pathway types, accounting for simple resonating structures, as well as global approaches for polycyclic aromatic species. Automatically discovering potential localized structures along with filtration to identify the representative structures was shown to be robust and relatively fast. The algorithms discussed here were recently implemented in the Reaction Mechanism Generator (RMG) software. The final structures proposed by this method were found to be in reasonable agreement with quantum chemical computation results of localized structure contributions to the resonance hybrid.  相似文献

We present the procedure for transforming delocalized molecular orbitals into the localized property-optimized orbitals (LPOs) designed for building the most accurate, in the Frobenius norm sense, approximation to the first-order reduced density matrix in form of the sum of localized monoatomic and diatomic terms. In this way, a decomposition of molecular properties into contributions associated with individual atoms and the pairs of atoms is obtained with the a priori known upper bound for the decomposition accuracy. Additional algorithm is proposed for obtaining the set of “the Chemist's LPOs” (CLPOs) containing a single localized orbital, with nearly double occupancy, per a pair of electrons. CLPOs form an idealized Lewis structure optimized for the closest possible reproduction of one-electron properties derived from the original many-electron wavefunction. The computational algorithms for constructing LPOs and CLPOs from a general wavefunction are presented and their implementation within the open-source freeware program JANPA ( http://janpa.sourceforge.net /) is discussed. The performance of the proposed procedures is assessed using the test set of density matrices of 33 432 small molecules obtained at both Hartree-Fock and second-order Moller-Plesset theory levels and excellent agreement with the chemist's Lewis-structure picture is found.  相似文献

We study how visible light influences the activity of an electrocatalyst composed of Au and Pt nanoparticles. The bimetallic composition imparts a dual functionality: the Pt component catalyzes the electrochemical oxidation of ammonia to liberate hydrogen and the Au component absorbs visible light by the excitation of localized surface plasmon resonances. Under visible-light excitation, this catalyst exhibits enhanced electrochemical ammonia oxidation kinetics, outperforming previously reported electrochemical schemes. We trace the enhancement to a photochemical potential resulting from electron–hole carriers generated in the electrocatalyst by plasmonic excitation. The photopotential responsible for enhanced kinetics scales linearly with the light intensity—a general design principle for eliciting superlative photoelectrochemical performance from catalysts comprised of plasmonic metals or hybrids. We also determine a photochemical conversion coefficient.  相似文献

The generalized anomeric effect refers to the conformational preference of a gauche structure over an anti structure for molecules with a R‐X‐C‐Y moiety. Whereas there are conflicting reports regarding the origin of this ubiquitous effect, a general consensus is that both the steric (more specifically electrostatic) and hyperconjugative interactions contribute. Here we employed the block‐localized wavefunction (BLW) method, which is the simplest variant of ab initio valence bond (VB) theory and can define reference electron‐localized states self‐consistently, to evaluate the magnitude of the hyperconjugation effect in a number of acyclic molecules exhibiting the generalized anomeric effect. The BLW‐based energy decomposition analysis revealed that both the steric and hyperconjugation effects contribute to the conformational preferences of methoxymethyl fluoride and methoxymethyl chlorides. But for the other systems under investigation, including methanediol, methanediamine, aminomethanol and dimethoxymethane, the hyperconjugative interactions play a negative role in the conformational preferences and the steric effect is solely responsible for the generalized anomeric effect.  相似文献

The energies, geometries and harmonic vibrational frequencies of 1:1 5‐hydroxytryptamine‐water (5‐HT‐H2O) complexes are studied at the MP2/6‐311++G(d,p) level. Natural bond orbital (NBO), quantum theory of atoms in molecules (QTAIM) analyses and the localized molecular orbital energy decomposition analysis (LMO‐EDA) were performed to explore the nature of the hydrogen‐bonding interactions in these complexes. Various types of hydrogen bonds (H‐bonds) are formed in these 5‐HT‐H2O complexes. The intermolecular C4H55‐HT···Ow H‐bond in HTW3 is strengthened due to the cooperativity, whereas no such cooperativity is found in the other 5‐HT‐H2O complexes. H‐bond in which nitrogen atom of amino in 5‐HT acted as proton donors was stronger than other H‐bonds. Our researches show that the hydrogen bonding interaction plays a vital role on the relative stabilities of 5‐HT‐H2O complexes.  相似文献

A novel approach for calculating deformation densities is presented, which enables to calculate the deformation density resulting from a change between two chemical states, typically conformers, without the need for radical fragments. The Fragment, Atom, Localized, Delocalized, and Interatomic (FALDI) charge density decomposition scheme is introduced, which is applicable to static electron densities (FALDI‐ED), conformational deformation densities (FALDI‐DD) as well as orthodox fragment‐based deformation densities. The formation of an intramolecular NH⋅⋅⋅N interaction in protonated ethylene diamine is used as a case study where the FALDI‐based conformational deformation densities (with atomic or fragment resolution) are compared with an orthodox EDA‐based approach. Atomic and fragment deformation densities revealed in real‐space details that (i) pointed at the origin of density changes associated with the intramolecular H‐bond formation and (ii) fully support the IUPAC H‐bond representation. The FALDI scheme is equally applicable to intra‐ and intermolecular interactions. © 2017 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.  相似文献
