Generalized vector variational-like inequalities and vector optimization in Asplund spaces

Some properties of pseudoinvex functions, defined by means of limiting subdifferential, are obtained. Furthermore, the equivalence between vector variational-like inequalities involving limiting subdifferential and vector optimization problems are studied under pseudoinvexity condition.     

Trimeric metallo-phthalocyanines with good performances for nanosecond optical limiting in solution

Optical limiting (OL) performances of two trimeric metallo-phthalocyanines namely, 2,4,6-tris[2-oxa-9,10,16,17,23,24-hexa(hexylthio) phthalocyaninato M(II)]-s-triazine (M = Zn for compound ZnPc and Cu for compound CuPc) were investigated by using the Z-scan technique. The measurements were performed using collimated 4 ns pulses generated from a frequency-doubled Nd:YAG laser at 532 nm wavelength. OL parameters of the ratio of the excited state to ground state absorption cross-sections κ, the effective non-linear absorption coefficient β_eff, the linear absorption coefficient α₀, limiting threshold F_th and the saturation density or energy density F_sat values were determined for the investigated compounds. The results indicated that both compounds exhibited good OL performances. ZnPc shows slightly better OL parameters than that of CuPc.     

Conditional limiting distribution of beta-independent random vectors

The paper deals with random vectors in , possessing the stochastic representation , where R is a positive random radius independent of the random vector and is a non-singular matrix. If is uniformly distributed on the unit sphere of , then for any integer m<d we have the stochastic representations and , with W≥0, such that W² is a beta distributed random variable with parameters m/2,(d−m)/2 and (U₁,…,U_m),(U_m+1,…,U_d) are independent uniformly distributed on the unit spheres of and , respectively. Assuming a more general stochastic representation for in this paper we introduce the class of beta-independent random vectors. For this new class we derive several conditional limiting results assuming that R has a distribution function in the max-domain of attraction of a univariate extreme value distribution function. We provide two applications concerning the Kotz approximation of the conditional distributions and the tail asymptotic behaviour of beta-independent bivariate random vectors.     

Design and synthesis of polyindole - ZnO nano composite for NLO applications

Present paper mainly focuses on the synthesis, characterization polyindole-ZnO nano composites for third order nonlinear optical applications. Polyindole was synthesized through oxidative polymerization technique and its composites were prepared with different ZnO concentration. Structural morphology of the polymer composite was studied using FESEM, XRD and UV Visible spectroscopic technique. Polymer showed broad absorption with absorption maxima of 395 nm. Newly prepared thin films showed excellent nonlinear absorption with very good optical limiting behaviour when it is exposed to He-Ne laser with maximum optical limiting power of 11 mW along with third-order nonlinear susceptibility χ⁽³⁾ of 2.72 × 10^?3 esu. Hence these polymer composites may be potential candidate for optical limiting applications.     

Optimal control for the thermistor problem with a current limiting device

We findthe optimal system in the elementary case of constant electricconductivity. In addition, a theorem of existence of the optimalsolution is given in the general case of conductivities dependingon the temperature.     

反饱和吸收激发态非线性材料的Z扫描分析

本文用速率方程理论分析了激发志光学非线性材料非线性吸收和折射,通过数值模拟讨论了激发态和基态吸收截面、折射度相互关系等参数对非线性吸收和折射性质的影响。并从理论上分析了C₆₀甲苯溶液的Z扫描实验曲线,它具有强非线性吸收和弱非线性折射。
