The decay properties of the D and D s mesons are computed in a nonrelativistic phenomenological quark-antiquark potential of the type V (r) =-4 /3 α s /r+ Ar ν with different choices of ν.Numerical method to solve the Schrdinger equation has been used to obtain the spectroscopy of qQ mesons.The numerically obtained radial solutions are employed to obtain the decay constant and leptonic decay widths.It has been observed that predictions of the ground state masses and the decay widths are consistent with other model predictions as well as with the known experimental values.  相似文献

The two highest precision determinations of α s (M 2 Z ),that based on the analysis of short-distancesensitive lattice observables,and that based on an analysis of hadronic τ decay data,have,until very recently,given results which are not in good agreement.I review new versions of these analyses which bring the two determinations into excellent agreement,and discuss prospects for additional future improvements.  相似文献

We evaluate the radiative decay into a vector, a pseudoscalar and a photon of several resonances dynamically generated from the vector–vector interaction. The process proceeds via the decay of one of the vector components into a pseudoscalar and a photon, which have an invariant mass distribution very different from phase space as a consequence of the two vector structure of the resonances. Experimental work along these lines should provide useful information on the nature of these resonances.  相似文献

The reaction γγ → π+π-π0 with quasi-real photons is studied with a total integrated luminosity of 663pb^-1, collected by the L3 detector at LEP at center-of-mass energies from 183 to 209GeV. The results of an energy-dependent partial wave analysis in the mass region 1.1≤M+π-π0)≤2.2GeV are presented. The reaction is dominated by a2(1320) formation. A strong signal consistent with the first radial excitation of the isovector tensor state, a2(1700), is present and confirms the previous L3 observation. Its two-photon partial width is found to be Br(3π) = 0.37+0.12-0.08keV, the relative branching ratio of ρ(770)π to f2(1270)π is 3.4±0.4. For all observed states the product of γγ partial width and 3π branching ratios is measured.  相似文献

The tetraquark assignment for light scalar states below 1 GeV is discussed on the light of strong decays. The next-to-leading order in the large-N expansion for the strong decays is considered. Mixing with quarkonia states above 1 GeV is investigated within a chiral approach and the inclusion of finite-width effects is taken into account.  相似文献

The study of nuclear decay modes reveals a large panel of nuclear structure phenomena and allows us to investigate the behaviour of the atomic nucleus with an extreme imbalance of the number of neutrons and protons with respect to stable nuclei. In the present paper, we review certain aspects of β-delayed decay modes, of one- and two-proton radioactivity, and of the experimental techniques which allowed us to get deep insights into the organisation of the atomic nucleus. In most cases, the study of these decay modes is the only means to obtain the information searched for. The investigation of nuclear decay modes is shown to be a powerful tool to study the most proton-rich nuclei and their nuclear structure.  相似文献

We study the υμ and υγ decays in the early epoch of the universe. If mυγ > 2me, there would be a CP asymmetry between υγ→e++e-e and υγ→e++ e-+ υe. The resultant CP non-invariance is a function of temperature and density and can reach l0-7 for a reasonable temperature range, but it is noticed that if mυγ > 2υμ~200 MeV, the CP non-invariance can be much larger.  相似文献

The light cone QCD sum rules are derived for the K * Kπ coupling g K * Kπ and the ρππ coupling g ρππ. The contribution from the excited states and the continuum is subtracted cleanly through the double Borel transform with respect to the two external momenta, p 1 2, p 2 2= (pq)2. Our result g K * Kπ= (8.7 ± 0.5) and g ρππ= (11.5 ± 0.8) is in good agreement with the experimental value. Received: 31 July 1998 / Revised version: 20 November 1998  相似文献

Electromagnetic form factors of protons and neutrons are investigated based on a relativistic quark model with the inclusion of a pion cloud. Pseudo-scalar π-quark interaction is employed to study the coupling between the nucleon and the π. The results show the important role of the pion cloud for the neutron charge form factor.
