We report the fluorescence upconversion properties of a class of improved pyridinium toluene-p-sulfonates having donor–π–acceptor (D–π–A) structure under two-photon excitation at 1064 nm. The experimental results show that both the two-photon excited (TPE) fluorescence lifetime and the two-photon pumped (TPP) energy upconversion efficiency were increased with the enhancement of electron-donating capability of the donor in the molecule. It is also indicated that an overlong alkyl group tends to result in a weakened molecular conjugation, leading to a decreased two-photon absorption (TPA) cross section. By choosing the donor, we can obtain a longest fluorescence lifetime of 837 ps, a highest energy upconversion efficiency of 6.1%, and a maximum TPA cross-section of 8.74×10−48 cm4 s/photon in these dyes.  相似文献

Supramolecular side chain liquid crystalline polymers were prepared from poly(3-carboxypropylmethylsiloxane) (PSI100) and azobenzene derivatives through intermolecular hydrogen bonding (H-bonding) between the carboxylic acid groups in the PSI100 and the imidazole rings in the azobenzene derivatives. The existence of H-bonding has been confirmed using FTIR spectroscopy. The polymeric complexes behave as liquid crystalline (LC) polymers and exhibit stable mesophases. The LC behaviour of these H-bonded polymeric complexes was investigated by differential scanning calorimetry, polarizing optical microscopy and X-ray diffraction. The complexes exhibit nematic LC phases identified on the basis of Schlieren optical textures. On increasing spacer length or the concentration of the H-bonded mesogenic unit in the complex, the clearing temperature and the temperature range of the LC phase of the polymeric complex increase. The terminal group plays a critical role in determining the LC properties of the polymeric complexes. A terminal methoxy group is more efficient than a nitro group in increasing the clearing temperature. The electron donor-acceptor interactions between the H-bonded mesogenic units containing methoxy and nitro terminal groups in supramolecular 'copolymeric' complexes lead to an increase in the clearing temperature and a wider temperature range for the LC phase.  相似文献

光电功能分子通常以薄膜和聚集体的形式显示功能, 聚集诱导发光(AIE)分子体系的发现为解决固态下聚集诱导荧光猝灭(ACQ)难题提供了新的思路. 本文总结了近年来本课题组发展的一系列AIE 分子, 侧重介绍这些AIE 分子的光电功能与器件应用, 特别是在有机电致发光器件和有机激光方面的应用. AIE 材料显示非常高的电致发光效率, 在显示与白光器件方面潜力巨大. 在发展电泵有机激光方面, AIE 材料特点突出, 是最有前景的一类材料.  相似文献

We investigate the lasing frequency phototuning in a distributed feedback (DFB) laser based on cholesteric liquid crystals (CLC). To improve the CLC planar texture quality, we use new materials such as nematic ZhK-654 and an analog of cholesteryl oleate as a twisting additive. The selective excitation of the cis-form molecules of the azoxy-nematic is carried out with the use of a combination of an interference filter with maximum transmission at 436 nm and a cut-off filter. Using the orienting substrates with SnO2 allows us to reduce the threshold pump power by more than an order of magnitude. The proposed combination of filters for the selective excitation enables us to align the ranges of lasing wavelengths in both directions.  相似文献

In single crystals of the beryllium silicate Be2SiO4 with trigonal symmetry , known also as the mineral phenakite, χ(3)‐nonlinear lasing by stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) is investigated. All observed Stokes and anti‐Stokes lasing components are identified and ascribed to a single SRS‐promoting vibration mode with ωSRS ≈876 cm−1. With picosecond single‐wavelength pumping at one micrometer the generation of an octave‐spanning Stokes and anti‐Stokes comb is observed.  相似文献

In this paper we study influences of Doppler broadening, spontaneously generated coherence, and other system parameters on propagation effect in a quasi lambda-type four-level atomic system. It is shown that when the Doppler broadening is present, generally speaking, the values of gain and intensity of lasing without inversion (i.e. the probe field) in the co-propagating probe and driving fields case are much larger than those in the counter-propagating case; considerably larger gain and intensity of lasing without inversion than those without the Doppler broadening can be obtained by choosing appropriate values of the Doppler broadening width and spontaneously generated coherence strength. The gain and intensity of lasing without inversion increase with the increase of spontaneously generated coherence strength; when spontaneously generated coherence is present, much larger gain and intensity of lasing without inversion than those in the case without spontaneously generated coherence can be obtained. Choosing suitable values of the probe detuning, Rabi frequencies of the driving and pump fields at the entrance of the medium also can remarkably enhance the gain and intensity of lasing without inversion.  相似文献

利用求密度矩阵稳态解的方法得到了一般泵浦和衰变情况下Λ型开放三能级原子系统在强相干光作用下无反转激光的条件。我们证明初始泵浦率和能级间自发辐射率的反转代替了稳态布居数的反转,共同促进了无布居数反转光放大,而且只要前两者之一满足就可以实现无反转光放大。然后利用求解简化原子模型波函数解析解的方法,描述了原子演化使得光场放大的过程,解释了量子干涉在三能级原子无反转激光中的作用。  相似文献

The stabilization and manipulation of laser frequency by means of an external cavity are nearly ubiquitously used in fundamental research and laser applications. While most of the laser light transmits through the cavity, in the presence of some back-scattered light from the cavity to the laser, the self-injection locking effect can take place, which locks the laser emission frequency to the cavity mode of similar frequency. The self-injection locking leads to dramatic reduction of laser linewidth and noise. Using this approach, a common semiconductor laser locked to an ultrahigh-Q microresonator can obtain sub-Hertz linewidth, on par with state-of-the-art fiber lasers. Therefore it paves the way to manufacture high-performance semiconductor lasers with reduced footprint and cost. Moreover, with high laser power, the optical nonlinearity of the microresonator drastically changes the laser dynamics, offering routes for simultaneous pulse and frequency comb generation in the same microresonator. Particularly, integrated photonics technology, enabling components fabricated via semiconductor CMOS process, has brought increasing and extending interest to laser manufacturing using this method. In this article, we present a comprehensive tutorial on analytical and numerical methods of laser self-injection locking, as well a review of most recent theoretical and experimental achievements.  相似文献
