Cu nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectra of impurities (Zn, Ni, and La)-doped spin-1/2 Heisenberg ladder compounds SrCu2O3 (Sr123) are broadened with Curie-like temperature (T) dependence. The spectra have been successfully fit by using a quasi-one-dimensional (Q1D) staggered polarization (SP) model. Such a SP has also revealed in Cu NMR measurements of Sr14–x
Ca

Cu24O41 (Cax) with hole-doped ladders. The origin of possible 3D antiferromagnetic (AF) long-range ordering in (Zn and Ni)-doped Sr123 and Cax around x=12 at low T is considered to be similar. Once unpaired spins S

Photochemical reactions of aromatic azide groups were applied for a novel photosensitive silicone ladder polymer, that is, partially vinyl‐substituted polyphenylsilsesquioxane sensitized with aromatic bisazide compounds as a photocrosslinker. The photocrosslinking reaction in this system was investigated from the viewpoint of the efficiency of the photocrosslinker, that is, the ratio of the photocrosslinker consumed for crosslinking. The numbers of photodecomposed azide groups and crosslinks in the polymer were determined by Fourier transform infrared measurements. At a higher bisazide concentration, the predominant reaction of nitrenes formed as the intermediary radical by the photolysis of azide was a coupling reaction that could not contribute to the gelation of the polymer. The ratio of the bisazide compound consumed for crosslinking showed the highest value at its concentration of 3 wt % and decreased with the addition of a larger amount. The semiempirical molecular orbital calculations were applied to the theoretical analysis of the photoreaction of nitrenes using phenylnitrene as a model structure. The calculation results indicated that the coupling reaction of nitrenes should proceed more easily than the photocrosslinking reaction in N2 atmosphere, and the fact that the oxidation of nitrenes should proceed exclusively in the atmosphere including O2 agreed with the experimental results. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. A new kind of soluble structure‐ordered ladder‐like polysilsesquioxane with reactive side‐chain 2‐(4‐chloromethyl phenyl) ethyl groups ( L ) was first synthesized by stepwise coupling polymerization. The monomer, 2‐(4‐chloromethyl phenyl) ethyltrichlorosilane ( M ), was synthesized successfully by hydrosilylation reaction with dicyclopentadienylplatinum(II) chloride (Cp2PtCl2) catalyst. Monomer and polymer structures were characterized by FT‐IR, 1H‐NMR, 13C‐NMR, 29Si‐NMR, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), vapor pressure osmometry (VPO) and X‐ray diffraction (XRD). This novel reactive ladder‐like polymer has promise potential applications as initiator for atom transfer radical polymerization, and as precursor for a variety of advanced functional polymers. The cavity field spectrum of a cascade three-level atom interacting with single-mode field with Kerr-like medium in the cavity is investigated. The numerical results for the initial field in pure number state, coherent state and squeezed vacuum state are calculated, respectively. It is found that the Kerr-like medium affects the spectral structure even though the initial field is in vacuum when the atom is in upper level. In the case of strong input field, the number state spectrum shows two peaks with different heights; and the superposition state spectrum shows a multipeak structure with an equal distance of two neighboring peaks. The spectral "central frequency" shifts away from the resonant frequency with the increasing of average photon number. 相似文献
