This paper describes the theoretical and experimental results of a novel leaky-wave antenna incorporating a homogeneous dielectric transmission line and radiating aperture into a single structure. The primary objective of this investigation is to demonstrate the ability to control aperture radiation by simply cutting slots into a metal-free dielectric transmission line. Experimental line source antennas with identical periodic slots were designed to operate in the 35 GHz frequency region. The successful performance of these antennas resulted in the design of a dielectric line source antenna with a symmetrical amplitude taper which provided a lower sidelobe level. The design represents a significant breakthrough in achieving affordable, low-loss, lightweight antennas in the millimeter wave region. The most significant applications for this type of antenna include radar surveillance and tactical missile-seeker terminal guidance.  相似文献

采用激发波长800 nm、脉宽50 fs、重复频率1 kHz的Ti:sapphire放大飞秒激光器作为激发光源,利用开孔Z扫描技术研究了不同粒径的CdTe:Mn量子点的非线性吸收性质。理论计算结果表明,同一生长时间CdTe:Mn量子点的双光子吸收系数是CdTe量子点的1.1倍,其双光子吸收系数随量子点尺寸的减小而增大,这是由于CdTe:Mn量子点非线性吸收属于反饱和吸收,掺杂了Mn元素,减小了表面缺陷浓度,表明掺杂量子点具有很好的双光子吸收现象。  相似文献

Spatial scan statistics are commonly used for geographic disease cluster detection and evaluation. We propose and implement a modified version of the simulated annealing spatial scan statistic that incorporates the concept of “non-compactness” in order to penalize clusters that are very irregular in shape. We evaluate its power for the simulated annealing scan and compare it with the circular and elliptic spatial scan statistics. We observe that, with the non-compactness penalty, the simulated annealing method is competitive with the circular and elliptic scan statistic, and both have good power performance. The elliptic scan statistic is computationally faster and is well suited for mildly irregular clusters, but the simulated annealing method deals better with highly irregular cluster shapes. The new method is applied to breast cancer mortality data from northeastern United States.  相似文献

 采用计算模拟的方法,研究了光栅式扫描预处理的扫描方式以及脉冲能量波动、定位误差对预处理效率的影响。研究发现,脉冲能量波动及其定位误差使预处理效率降低,同时其影响与扫描方式之间存在相互调制作用,因此可以通过选择合适的扫描方式以及扫描间隔来优化预处理流程,提高预处理效率。此外发现,光斑呈等边三角形排列时的预处理效率优于正方形。  相似文献

The ultrasonic polar scan (UPS), either in transmission, reflection or backscatter mode, is a promising non-destructive testing technique for the characterization of composites, providing information about the mechanical anisotropy, the viscoelastic damping, the surface roughness, and more. At present, the technique is merely being used for qualitative purposes. The limited quantitative exploration and use of the technique can be primarily ascribed to limitations of current theoretical models as well as the difficulty to perform accurate, and more importantly, reproducible UPS experiments. Over the last years, we have identified several potential pitfalls in the experimental implementation of the technique which severely deteriorate the accurateness and reproducibility of a UPS. In this paper, we make an inventory of the most important difficulties, illustrate each of them by a real experiment and present a feasible mediation, either numerical or experimental in nature. Once the experimental set-up is fine-tuned to overcome these pitfalls, it is expected that the recording of high-level UPS experiments, in combination with numerical computations, will facilitate the technique to become a fully quantitative non-destructive characterization method.  相似文献

In this paper, a method based on chromatographic separation of analytes and their quantification using on‐line cyclic voltammetry is reported. The method based on high performance liquid chromatography on reverse phase column was optimized using free nucleobases‐guanine, adenine, thymine, and cytosine. The optimal separation of nucleobases was detected when using 0.05 M borate buffer (pH 9.0) as the mobile phase, at isocratic flow rate 1 mL min−1, and at separation column temperature of 30 °C. The accurate timing of the cyclic voltammetry enabled us to quantify the concentrations of individual nucleobases by oxidation on glassy carbon electrode.  相似文献

Typical X‐ray diffraction measurements are made by moving a detector to discrete positions in space and then measuring the signal at each stationary position. This step‐scanning method can be time‐consuming, and may induce vibrations in the measurement system when the motors are accelerated and decelerated at each position. Furthermore, diffraction information between the data points may be missed unless a fine step‐scanning is used, which further increases the total measurement time. To utilize beam time efficiently, the motor acceleration and deceleration time should be minimized, and the signal‐to‐noise ratio should be maximized. To accomplish this, an integrated continuous‐scan system was developed at the Stanford Synchrotron Radiation Lightsource (SSRL). The continuous‐scan system uses an in‐house integrated motor controller system and counter/timer electronics. SPEC software is used to control both the hardware and data acquisition systems. The time efficiency and repeatability of the continuous‐scan system were tested using X‐ray diffraction from a ZnO powder and compared with the step‐scan technique. Advantages and limitations of the continuous‐scan system and a demonstration of variable‐velocity continuous scan are discussed.  相似文献
