The selenites of scandium are used as new materials in producing instrument and semi-conductor engineering. Like tellurites,
they can also be applied as materials for making lasers. The process of producing scandium selenides by the reduction of the
corresponding selenites has the advantage of taking place at relatively low temperatures and high rate. In this respect, it
is necessary to command methods of obtaining high-purity selenites and to obtain data concerning their thermal stability.
A physicochemical study of the system Sc2O3-SeO2-H2O was carried out at 100°C in order to find solutions to these problems. The possible compounds in the system at a given temperature
were obtained. The compounds were identified by the Schreinemakers' method and also by chemical and X-ray phase analyses.
The mechanism of thermal decomposition was determined by means of a derivatograph.

We show that nanodiscs stabilized with polymers order and pile up on a surface upon drying. The resulting surface films with an average thickness of one micron are made of collapsed cohesive layers with smectic long-range order. This occurs with and without plastifying stabilizing polymer and produces crevasses. The stacked discs undergo a two-to-three-dimensional crystallization while bottom layers close to the surface fuse and produce infinite bilayers. Small angle X-ray scattering experiments demonstrate that excess polymer is segregated from the crystalline stack. Water adsorption isotherms show that reversible swelling of the excess polymer does not destroy the compact stack of partially fused nanodiscs collapsed parallel to the surface. In the absence of chemical binding, the stacks of layered nanodiscs can be removed by simple washing with pure water. AFM, TEM and SEM experiments demonstrate that presence of crevasses is quenched by the presence of a plastifying polymer. 相似文献

Summary Investigation of water adsorption by the step profile method (Glueckauf method) was carried out with the help of a modified gas chromatography equipped with thermal-conductivity detector. On the basis of the adsorption isotherm obtained, the water film pressure and the polar component of the surface free energy of quartz were calculated. The present study is dedicated to the derivation of an alternative adsorption isotherm for liquid-solid interfaces from a micro-state model, where adsorption is predominantly of a chemical nature. We describe adsorption-desorption on a liquid-solid interface starting from a partition function. In the new model the surface site occupation number is controlled by the Pauli principle (monolayer condition) and additional an attractive or repulsive surface potential, which depends on the overall surface coverage (nonlinearity). The effective potential represents adsorbate adsorbent interaction, as well as an influence of adsorbate adsorbate interactions on the surface potential. A Langmuir equivalent isotherm is recovered in the limit of a weak potential. The proposed model and Langmuirs isotherm are compared using data of humic acid (HA) adsorption on Brazilian Oxisol soil samples. A regenerated activated carbon used as catalyst support in the synthesis of vinyl acetate has been tested as a low-cost adsorbent for the removal of dyes. After a thorough textural characterization of the regenerated activated carbon, its adsorption isotherms and kinetics were determined using methylene blue as model compound at different initial concentrations. Both Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm models were developed and then compared. It was found that the equilibrium data were best represented by the Langmuir isotherm model. The kinetic data were fitted to pseudo-first-order, pseudo-second-order and intraparticle diffusion models, and it was found that the best fitting corresponded to the pseudo-second-order kinetic model. The results showed that this novel adsorbent had a high adsorption capacity, making it suitable for use in the treatment of methylene blue enriched wastewater. 相似文献

为了利用吸附等温线理论模型模拟高真空多层绝热LNG槽车内吸气剂的吸附过程,对在真空技术中常用的等温式进行了分析研究。通过实验获得吸气剂在室温下的吸氢等温线,同时利用实验数据得到考虑分子间作用力的BET模型中的参数值。将模型结果与实验数据进行对比分析,结果表明:考虑分子间作用力的BET模型不能用作高真空多层绝热LNG槽车真空夹层内吸气剂吸附量的计算。利用Temkin和Freundlich等温式分段对实验数据进行拟合,对于1#吸气剂,拟合方程式计算得出的吸附量与实验数据的相对误差仅为2.6%,表明拟合方程能够对吸气剂在室温下的吸氢量进行准确预测。 相似文献

A new molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) was prepared using methamidophos (MAP) as the template molecule based on non‐covalent interaction. The complexes formed between template and monomers before polymerization were characterized by 1H NMR titration test, FT‐IR and UV spectrometry study. These studies indicated that a 1:2 molecular complex formed dominantly between MAP and functional monomers. A model mainly involving cooperative hydrogen interaction was proposed by exact placement of functional groups. Association constant was estimated to be 2.894 × 106 L2/mol2. When the initial concentration of MAP was 1.0 mmol L?1, the affinity capacity of MIP was 4.23 times that of NIP. The binding performance of MIP was modeled with the Freundlich isotherm (FI) and the total number of binding sites was calculated to be 33.97 μmol/g. The MIP showed great homogeneity with a heterogeneity index of m = 0.7356. The specificity of MIP was investigated by single‐analyte binding and molecularly imprinted solid‐phase extraction (MISPE) assays using MAP and other structurally related organophorous pesticides (OPPs). The developing countries are suffering from the toxicity of different industrial effluents, especially dyes that contaminate water systems. This study successfully explained the preparation and characterization of nano bentonite to extract Direct Yellow Fifty (DY50). Direct Yellow 50 is an organic contaminant that may affect the quality of water. The characterization of prepared nanoparticles was done using Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR). The impact of different operating conditions was studied using different pH, dose, temperature, contact time, and initial DY50 concentrations. The obtained results indicated that nano bentonite could adsorb about 94 % at initial concentrations of 40 mg/L, respectively. The optimum removal conditions were observed at an acidic pH (pH 3) using a sorbent material dosage of 0.05 g for 4 h at 30 °C. The adsorption isotherm, kinetic analysis, and thermodynamic behavior were studied using linear equation form, and the adjusted R2 was compared to detect the preferred models. The adsorption behavior pseudo-second order kinetics, and fitted Langmuir isotherm model, respectively, showed the chemisorption interactions between adsorbed and sorbed molecules. Thermodynamic behavior indicated that the reaction was exothermic. Finally, this study strongly recommended using nano bentonite for DY50 removal from an aqueous solution. 相似文献

The granular activated carbon/MnFe2O4 composite with a mass ratio of 2:1 was synthesized using a simple chemical coprecipitation procedure and used for the removal of As(III) and As(V) from synthetically prepared wastewater. Physicochemical analysis of the composite was carried out through Brunauer, Emmett and Teller surface area and total pore volume, Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR) and Scanning Electron Micrograph and Energy-Dispersive X-Ray Spectroscopy (SEM-EDX). The impact of various adsorption parameters such as the initial pH, adsorbent dose, contact time, temperature and initial arsenic concentration were systematically investigated to evaluate the optimum operating conditions. Nonlinear regression analysis was employed to identify the best-fit isotherm on the basis of three correlation coefficients and three error functions and also to predict the parameters involved in one one-parameter, six two-parameter, nineteen three-parameter, three four-parameter and one five-parameter isotherms. The maximum adsorption capacities estimated using the Langmuir model were 1253 mg/g for As(III) and 1314 mg/g for As(V) at 30 °C temperature and 70 min contact time. The results showed that As(III) and As(V) removal was strongly pH-dependent with an optimum pH value of 7.0 and 4.0, respectively. The mean adsorption energy (E) calculated from the D–R model indicated the nature of adsorption being ion exchange type. 相似文献
