Recent results of Monte Carlo simulations of the ant-in-the-labyrinth method in three-dimensional percolation lattices are reanalyzed in the light of more accurate corrections to scaling ansatz, motivated by inconsistent results that have appeared in the literature. The results are observed to be sensitive to the form of the scaling correction terms. Using a single correction term, we estimate the valuek=0.197±0.004 for the anomalous diffusion exponent at criticality. When two correction terms are included,k=0.200±0.002 is obtained. These new estimates are consistent with known theoretical bounds, with recent series expansion results, and with numerical calculations of the conductance of random resistor networks above criticality. 相似文献

We consider the behavior of an (anti)instanton in the field of a pointlike source of a Euclidean non-Abelian field and investigate
(anti)instanton deformations described by variations of its characteristic parameters. We formulate the variational problem
of seeking the corresponding “crumpled” topological configurations and solve it algebraically using the Ritz method (of multipole
decomposition of deformation fields). We investigate the domain of parameters specific for the instanton liquid model. We
propose a simple method of taking contributions of such configurations in the functional integral into account approximately.
In the framework of superposition analysis, we obtain an estimate for the mean energy of the source in the instanton liquid,
and the estimate increases linearly with distance. In the case of a dipole in the color-singlet state, the energy is a linear
function of the distance between the sources with the “strength” coefficient agreeing well with the known model and lattice
estimates.

The long-range corrections (LRCs) to the configurational energy have been taken into consideration in the Monte Carlo simulation of the vapor-liquid interface for a pure Lennard-Jones (LJ) fluid. The simulated bulk densities agree satisfactorily with those obtained from the Gibbs ensemble method, and the simulated surface tension values agree reasonably well with those reported in the literature for a larger number of molecules and a larger cut-off distance. To compare the influence of the potential forms on the simulation results, a truncated LJ potential, and a shifted and truncated LJ potential have been examined. Although the bulk densities and surface tensions calculated for different model fluids are strongly affected by the LRC, the different potentials essentially lead to similar density values and similar surface tension values when the respective calculated values are compared on the basis of a reduced temperature scale. 相似文献

The status and accuracy of the precision Monte Carlo generators used for luminosity measurements at flavour factories is reviewed.It is shown that,thanks to a considerable,long-term effort in tuned comparisons between the predictions of independent programs,as well as in the validation of the generators against the presently available calculations of the next-to-next-to-leading order QED corrections to Bhabha scattering,the theoretical accuracy reached by the most precise tools is of about one per mille.This error estimate is valid for realistic experimental cuts,appears to be quite robust and is already sufficient for very accurate luminosity measurements.However,recent progress and possible advances to further improve it are also discussed. 相似文献
