Two classes of models of driven disordered systems that exhibit historydependent dynamics are discussed. The first class incorporates
local inertia in the dynamics via nonmonotonic stress transfer between adjacent degrees of freedom. The second class allows
for proliferation of topological defects due to the interplay of strong disorder and drive. In mean field theory both models
exhibit a tricritical point as a function of disorder strength. At weak disorder depinning is continuous and the sliding state

Proanthocyanidins, known as condensed tannins or oligomeric flavonoids, exist in many edible plants and show various interesting biological activities. We have developed a simple and versatile method of synthesizing procyanidin oligomers consisting of (−)-epicatechin and (+)-catechin. This method is applicable to the synthesis of various 3-O-substituted oligomers. We report here the stereoselective and length controlled synthesis of [4-8]-condensed (−)-epicatechin series procyanidin oligomers. We described the details of the synthesis of an two tetramers, (−)-epicatechin-(−)-epicatechin-(−)-epicatechin-(−)-epicatechin and (−)-epicatechin-(−)-epicatechin-(−)-epicatechin-(+)-catechin (arecatannin A1), (−)-epicatechin pentamer and two 3,3″,3?-tri-O-galloyl trimers, (−)-epicatechin-(−)-epicatechin-(−)-epicatechin-3,3″,3?-tri-O-gallate and (−)-epicatechin-(−)-epicatechin-(+)-catechin-3,3″,3?-tri-O-gallate with the condensation method using TMSOTf as a catalyst. A rate dependent crystal plasticity model for the α/β Ti–Al alloy Ti–6Al–4V with duplex microstructure is developed and presented herein. Duplex Ti–6Al–4V is a dual-phase alloy consisting of an hcp structured matrix primary α-phase and secondary lamellar α + β domains that are composed of alternating layers of secondary α laths and bcc structured residual β laths. The model accounts for distinct three-dimensional slip geometry for each phase, anisotropic and length scale dependent slip system strengths, the non-planar dislocation core structure of prismatic screw dislocations in the primary α-phase, and crystallographic texture. The model is implemented in the general purpose finite element code (ABAQUS, 2005. Ver 6.5, Hibbitt, Karlsson, and Sorensen, Inc., Pawtucket, RI) via a UMAT subroutine. 相似文献

This study develops a small-deformation theory of strain-gradient plasticity for single crystals. The theory is based on: (i) a kinematical notion of a continuous distribution of edge and screw dislocations; (ii) a system of microscopic stresses consistent with a system of microscopic force balances, one balance for each slip system; (iii) a mechanical version of the second law that includes, via the microscopic stresses, work performed during viscoplastic flow; and (iv) a constitutive theory that allows:

A crystal plasticity model for hcp materials is presented which is based on dislocation glide and pinning. Slip is assumed to occur on basal and prismatic systems, and dislocation pinning through the generation of geometrically necessary dislocations (GNDs).
